Very close to the freeway and in a hollow, so a lot of truck noise at night. Our Kabin was very nice though, and the heated group bathrooms were fantastic! Nice, wooded grounds - the fenced dog play area was a nice amenity.

Clean, safe and quiet, minus the highway noise which doesn’t bother me. Great fenced in dog park for my two dogs to play. Good for 1-2 nights as there’s not a lot to do there. A few “ok” restaurants, Laratte Lynn’s ranch, and fast food. I was there for 8 days due to a mishap in my trip and they were very nice, helpful, and accommodating.

It was nice that they had the heat on in the cabin and it was warm and cozy especially since we had driven 10 hours and 6 of them had been in pouring rain, wind and tornado threats.

Almost on the highway so very noisy. Got bug bites from the bed in cabin 3. The grounds were well maintained. The bathroom clean but I would never stay there again....

Strolling through the campground, among the many trees, was quite pleasant. We were there for a quick night’s rest and then got back on I-40. The interstate is close by but some of the noise from it is muffled by all the greenery. I pretended that what I could hear was a rushing mountain stream! The owners and staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

It wasn't apparent to us that breakfast was not being served on the day that we were there. There was a lot of traffic noise. Nice big site with patio.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

we are the I-40exit 143 Journey KOA, We dont serve breakfast any day, the Log Cabin serves breakfast on Saturday and Sunday only. Loretta Lynns Kitchen serves breakfast every day We only serve pizza everyday Sorry to disappoint you.

Great park for overnight . Our 2nd time here. Easy in and out . Don’t need the facilities because we have what we need in our RV but the outside is always tidy . Not much around so don’t expect any groceries. But it’s a handy place for the night. Will definitely stay again when passing through.

The campsite was great and everyone so friendly. The bathroom needed to be cleaned a bit but all and all was good . The other reviews said about the noise of the interstate, yes the interstate is right next to campgrounds and you can’t block the noise out so if it bothers you make sure you bring your ear plugs.

KOA itself was okay, but being so close to the actual interstate highway made the road noise VERT loud.

It was acceptable. The bathroom was clean and comfortable the first time we stayed, but the second time it was not clean and smelled of sewage. The laundry room is outdated, as is the exterior of the building. The place needs to be painted and the grounds tidied up. Also, the green grimy pool water doesn't help. Perhaps put a cover on it for the winter? Not complaints-- suggestions. In a pinch, ok

It's a nice stop over place. The is all gravel, had a little traction problem because my site was a little down hill. Once in place the site was fairly level. How ever the sewer hook up was a little up hill from the level spot, but lower than my dump port. Got there after 5pm because of road work and the office was closed. Didn't meet the staff so can\t say anything about them.

Not the best time of the year to stay, but it worked out well for our need in travelling through. I was able to get propane right away, the WiFi was good and the showers clean. There is more road noise than I expected - must be the way the hills around the freeway amplify it in the campground. But, it did not impact my sleep.

Super friendly. Beautiful park. The staff is helpful and accommodating. Clean laundry room and K-9 park. The office had a well stocked assortment of goods for sale. I highly recommend them

Staff very friendly. It was cold and extremely windy. Our cabin had a door with about 1/2 inch gap at bottom and side of door making it difficult even with the heater to keep the cabin warm.

We stayed in a camping cabin while traveling through the area. Had a great stay, and the staff graciously accommodated my cabin request! So nice that the cabins are dog-friendly! Nearby restaurants and shops are a big plus! We'll be back.

We stay frequently. We had an issue with cabin heat but it was rectified. Never really warmed up above 50's which made for a rather sleepless night, but it was very cold outside with snow. We will be back again, though, as it is a solid place overall and on one of our major travel routes.

It was an overnight stay and everything I expect for such. Excellent service and value.. 3rd time staying there and I’m sure we will be back on our next west coast trip
