The KOA was clean, affordable and in a beautiful area. We saw multiple elk on different days within 5 minutes of the campground by the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. The staff was very nice and quick to action. I have recommended this place to many friends.

First time to the Cherokee KOA and it was hands down one of the best locations I have been to. Gorgeous property, tons of stuff to do for everyone in the family. We will return in the future. Thank you!

Everything was great, the facility the cabins, the staff was amazing, the activities, the amenities, everything was fantastic! The only thing that I would improve is how uncomfortable was the folded bed couch. It is impossible to sleep on. Other than that amazing place. I highly recommend it.

our stay was a yearly event some of our family has been coming to cherokee camping for over 50 years. we wound up at koa because of wrong doings at two other camp grounds. so for our stay at koa has been grate look ford word to seeing yall next year around oct. 5th. yall did fix the water leaks . thanks

Stayed a week and no one ever brought fresh linen or towels or toilet paper! Far bath house stayed nasty all week with same trash in same spot. Also, they allowed a chow convention. That’s fine. However, they should not have been allowed to run the whole park in their area. Rude to other customers. Wouldn’t move out of road. Just park vehicle and expect everyone else to go another way. Loud

We had a yellowjackets nest about 10 feet from our cabin. Asked for 3 days to get something to spray. Had 3 maintenance men see all the bees, and told 2 women at front desk. Was told they would spray and never did. No offer to move cabins. Wife was stung 5 times, and me 3. Asked for the manager 2 times, and was told she was in meetings. Maintenance guys wanted to help, but seemed had no supplies

Bathrooms were subpar at best! Soap never refilled for 3 days. Just barely cleaned daily. Need hooks in ALL toilet/shower areas. Need to check air hose...piece broken.

it was hard to navigate around the grounds after a rain, roads were flooded could that be improved. Liked the jumping pillow. Bathrooms updated very nice laundry room a +. liked the ceiling fans and Air. Do an upgraded kamping cabin with just a toilet in that $50 -$60 price range. It was hard to cook on just half a grate on the fire pit.

We stayed in deluxe lodge and lodge was good but out side ramp was very slippery. My husband fell . Need to clean mosses.

Everything was great with the exception of the WiFi. It was horrible. Boosters need to be added. It is the only reason I did not give a better rating.

The sites are the largest of any KOA that we have been too. Well kept and clean friendly staff, nice C-store. Bring your fishing pole ! It was a great 4 days ...

Nice cement sites with fire pits and picnic tables. Everything neat and well kept. Good power and water, wifi typical, cable lousy. No T-mobile service, Verizon/Visible works.

exceeded all expectations i booked to stay longer. excellent pool and hot tub, excellent river and fish ponds. I am in love. I will be back. I sent photos of fish elk waterfalls to family and friends we are discussing family reunion there. just can not say enough how wonderful it is.

Nice family campground but desperately needs a wifi upgrade. Additional repeaters and more bandwidth are a minimum must do.

Everything was great. Liked the Halloween decorations. Weather was perfect. Had fun watching the chicken walking around our campsite. Will be back.

We had ants in our cabin again, the kitchen sink faucet was all messed up and after I marked not to charge my balance of my cabin to the card it was originally booked onto, it was still charged to that card and could not be changed. The WiFi service is beyond terrible in the back of the campground, but the kids did have fun trick or treating around the campground and they loved the Haunted Trail.

We love this campground. This was our second year coming for the Halloween festivities and we enjoyed it so much! Everybody is so kind and accommodating. We will be back next october!

We have stayed here for many years and love it. We did have a small incident around 9:30pm where we thought we had lost our cabin key. We were only given one at check in. When we tried to find an employee, none to be found after driving/walking around for an hour. We also tried to call the emergency number, which went straight to voicemail and mailbox was full. Thankfully, we later found our key.

The site that was assigned to us was not adequate for our camper and we requested a change but were told they had nothing available. Several hours later something came up but we had already set our camper because we got tired of waiting. However the whole week and we were there sites where we could have put our camper or empty yet we were told they had nothing. We hope Next time will be better.

Please clean out the "little" stream that is blocked by some kind of dam. It would be great to see the water moving instead of it being stagnant breeding all kinds of bugs and nats. Other than that, awesome place! We will be back next year.

This KOA is in a beautiful location. The workers are very kind and helpful and go above and beyond to make your vacation a good one. This is my favorite Koa I've stayed at in the whole country hands down. My only disappointment is I have noticed since the 1st time we stayed the cabins are now in need of a lot of maintenance now and need a lot of cleaning and painting. Otherwise awesome place!

For the first time for us ever at a KOA, the employees weren’t friendly. We were greeted rudely when we arrived and that continued throughout our stay. Our texts were never answered when asking questions. The pool was closed early on 2 occasions without warning, so we were unable to use the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The WiFi was worthless. Overall the worst KOA experience we’ve had.

We had a nice stay in our 31’ 5th wheel. The site was plenty long enough for truck and trailer. The park was decorated for Halloween festivities. It was very family friendly. We had an issue with our water hook up initially. The water valve wasn’t working properly, but staff came and fixed it. Beautiful KOA! Tent camping along the river. Staff friendly. So many things to do around the area. Short drive from the campground, you will come to Mingo Falls, Amazing!! A must see! Will stay here and camp again. We loved it!

Nearly 400 cabin / RV / tent sites. Clean, well lighted, heated bathrooms & hot showers. Easy in-N-out even for big rigs. Close to attractions, the City of Cherokee & not far from Gatlinburg TN.
