Absolutely beautiful KOA!! Perfect location. So much to see and do in the area and in the campground itself. Loved stay in the deluxe cabin with a deck that was right on the water!! Will be back!!

We Used to love this place before 2019 but sadly managment here has degraded to the point that staying here is unenjoyable.

Screen door needs repair, bathroom door needs repair, furniture is very uncomfortable. Not enough cups or glasses in kitchen.

Window a/c units were very moldy. We could not use them because of the smell. They need to be replaced.

We loved it! We especially appreciated the Halloween activities for the children (such as the hayride and the trick-or-treating). The campground was quite and peaceful.

We love this campground and have visited multiple times. However, The amount of dust under the beds in our cabin was very extensive and my son had an asthma attack due to the dust. I would prefer that floors in full be cleaned in-between renters and they definitely need more than the pathway sweep that was completed.

We had a great time! Our grandson really enjoyed the jumping pillow & the checker board. We were disappointed that the Campfire Grill was closed during the days we were there, but we couldn't get a cabin for the weekend. We will be back!

The KOA was clean, affordable and in a beautiful area. We saw multiple elk on different days within 5 minutes of the campground by the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. The staff was very nice and quick to action. I have recommended this place to many friends.

Everything was great, the facility the cabins, the staff was amazing, the activities, the amenities, everything was fantastic! The only thing that I would improve is how uncomfortable was the folded bed couch. It is impossible to sleep on. Other than that amazing place. I highly recommend it.

Stayed a week and no one ever brought fresh linen or towels or toilet paper! Far bath house stayed nasty all week with same trash in same spot. Also, they allowed a chow convention. That’s fine. However, they should not have been allowed to run the whole park in their area. Rude to other customers. Wouldn’t move out of road. Just park vehicle and expect everyone else to go another way. Loud

We had a yellowjackets nest about 10 feet from our cabin. Asked for 3 days to get something to spray. Had 3 maintenance men see all the bees, and told 2 women at front desk. Was told they would spray and never did. No offer to move cabins. Wife was stung 5 times, and me 3. Asked for the manager 2 times, and was told she was in meetings. Maintenance guys wanted to help, but seemed had no supplies

it was hard to navigate around the grounds after a rain, roads were flooded could that be improved. Liked the jumping pillow. Bathrooms updated very nice laundry room a +. liked the ceiling fans and Air. Do an upgraded kamping cabin with just a toilet in that $50 -$60 price range. It was hard to cook on just half a grate on the fire pit.

We stayed in deluxe lodge and lodge was good but out side ramp was very slippery. My husband fell . Need to clean mosses.

exceeded all expectations i booked to stay longer. excellent pool and hot tub, excellent river and fish ponds. I am in love. I will be back. I sent photos of fish elk waterfalls to family and friends we are discussing family reunion there. just can not say enough how wonderful it is.

We had ants in our cabin again, the kitchen sink faucet was all messed up and after I marked not to charge my balance of my cabin to the card it was originally booked onto, it was still charged to that card and could not be changed. The WiFi service is beyond terrible in the back of the campground, but the kids did have fun trick or treating around the campground and they loved the Haunted Trail.

We love this campground. This was our second year coming for the Halloween festivities and we enjoyed it so much! Everybody is so kind and accommodating. We will be back next october!

We have stayed here for many years and love it. We did have a small incident around 9:30pm where we thought we had lost our cabin key. We were only given one at check in. When we tried to find an employee, none to be found after driving/walking around for an hour. We also tried to call the emergency number, which went straight to voicemail and mailbox was full. Thankfully, we later found our key.

This KOA is in a beautiful location. The workers are very kind and helpful and go above and beyond to make your vacation a good one. This is my favorite Koa I've stayed at in the whole country hands down. My only disappointment is I have noticed since the 1st time we stayed the cabins are now in need of a lot of maintenance now and need a lot of cleaning and painting. Otherwise awesome place!

Had a great time with all the Halloween activities. We usually tent camping but tried the cabins. It was great. Will be trying this again. The bed was so comfortable.

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. The cabin had very nice amenities and was very clean. The whole campground is very nice, well maintained, and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return here.

We enjoyed our stay and found the cabin to be very kid friendly and comfortable. There were minor inconveniences (ie: can opener in our cabin was broken, the lock on the bedroom door was backwards, and the porch rail was uncomfortably loose), but overall we would stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you.

The staff was friendly and eager to tell about events and items of interest. It was nice to have such a quiet and peaceful campground to come to, yet still be within easy travel of everything Cherokee has to offer. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Would have been great if not for rude service at front desk. Tracy was extremely rude and basically lied to us about availability. During the 4 hours she made us wait after a long drive we ended up finding a campground down the road that we may stay at in the future. Sadly after this incident I believe our many years at KOA Cherokee has come to an end.

Check-in was very smooth, staff was great. The park has a large amount of cabin rentals to maintain. Ours was on a small stream, had ample parking, a very nice location. Did seem the cabin had not been used in some time #387. Only issues the A/C filters needed to be cleaned (we did), kitchen faucet was very loose at the base, and gas grill heat deflectors were corroded and crumbling. Stay was OK.

1st trip at Cherokee KOA. I called to make reservations and I called again to get after hours check in info- neither time did anyone mention to me the cabin we rented (they call a deluxe cabin) DID NOT HAVE HEAT! We arrived at 9pm, it was 40 degrees out and we had no heat. Why isn’t that mentioned?

Highly recommend!!. My family and I very much enjoyed the grounds and the amenities. The weekend Halloween festivities were a wonderful surprise that my kids loved. The haunted trail was very good and all the staff were very courteous. I've already recommended them to family and friends for their next smoky mountain getaway.

We had no heat and no response after several calls and visit to office. Very poor customer service by office staff. So we froze Friday night prior to finally getting heat fixed Saturday afternoon. The extra blanket smelled stinky feet. On one call the office staff complained to me that they could not hear me due to their music being so loud. She was upset that I suggested she turned music down.

Beautiful KOA! Tent camping along the river. Staff friendly. So many things to do around the area. Short drive from the campground, you will come to Mingo Falls, Amazing!! A must see! Will stay here and camp again. We loved it!

Nearly 400 cabin / RV / tent sites. Clean, well lighted, heated bathrooms & hot showers. Easy in-N-out even for big rigs. Close to attractions, the City of Cherokee & not far from Gatlinburg TN.
