THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THE CABIN WARM WITH THE HEATERS. LOVED THE GARDENS WITH ALL THOSE BULBS COMING TO LIFE AGAIN-NICELY DECORATED AROUND THE CAMPSITE.. CABIN AT TOPEKA , KANSAS, LEFT CEILING FAN ON WITH NO HEATERS-THE CABIN WAS ICE COLD INCLUDING THE MATTRESS . YOU DID A GREAT JOB HAVING ALL THOSE LIGHTS AROUND THE GARDENS/OFFICE HELPING US TO SEE WHERE WE WERE GOING.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Well kept. I go there regularly. Shower and bath facilities need updating, getting old.

Camp hosts are so nice and communicative. Super accommodating. We stay here for an overnight when on our way to the Smoky Mountains, so don’t really get to enjoy the campground (we arrive late and stay only one night). It’s a little tight getting into some of the sites with a big rig (we have a 36’ + toad) but certainly manageable. Smaller rigs shouldn’t have any trouble.

Not as well kept as most KOAs.Multiple permant campers with unsightly additions.Playground with very few choices.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

we only allow multiple monthly campers in the winter months, as that is our off season. Most of them all pull out on April 15th just working here in the winter months. In the summer months we only have 8 sites that are long term (out of 60 sites total)

The ladies bathroom was not satisfactory. One stall was out of order, another was backed up with feces and toilet paper leaving only one functional toilet. There were many dead plants in the ladies room making it seem run down and unwelcoming. There was a full timer car parked in our spot when we arrived and the host promptly had the car moved. That was a positive.

We arrived at our site and there was a large limb, several sticks and trash on our site. The campground management parked their vehicle in front of the the water filling access leaving little room for large trailers to access. Was a trashy campground and not worthy of the KOA name.

Office not open after 5, site needs to be leveled and entire grounds needs attention.

You were here in March, and we don't open office up for season until April :) and yes sites will be graveled and grounds cleaned up (sticks from the winter etc) all in our Spring CLean Up in April :)

Arrived at 4:30 to find the office closed. Our reservations we in the outside area for us. I checked out the site to find another camper setting up his rv on our site. He said he just picked a site because the office was closed and nobody answered his calls. I said that our reservations were made months ago and we have this site. He moved to another with out an issue. Bath room clean!!! Site ok

Bathrooms were very stinky!! Christmas decorations up in march? Cabin n could have been cleaner. Heat r was going, worked, and appreciated!

We stayed off season so it is very hard to tell how the campground really is when its in full summer form but we had a good stay, staff was excellent. We'll use this campground again in the future.

Only stayed for one night, but everything was clean and well taken care of. Great campsite and easy pull through. Will be stopping again when in the area.

This was an overnight stay while passing through the area. We arrived late, but check in was a breeze - in fact they had texted all the information we needed and thus did not even have to stop at the office. The site was absolutely clean and level. We only used electricity which worked fine. WIFI was rather weak. We used their restrooms which were clean, wam (it was only 21 degrees outside).

muddy and cold? well you were with us in Indiana in February :) as far as communication the office has limited availability in the winter months, but we do leave our number posted outside out front with availability anytime in off season months.

We came to the snow and ice covered park on 2/7/22 and fortunately made it to our site without incident. We noticed limbs hanging too low for our exit the next morning. When I asked the park maintenance personal if they could be cut, it was done within the hour!! He even took his truck and drove over snow in our path to make our exit easier in the morning. Great job!!

It was cold & I understand that but overall the cabin didn’t have ANY SUFFICIENT HEAT SOURCE! This we froze our butts off each night even after asking for another heater. In my opinion the cabins should not be open in winter if enough heat source can’t be provided. It is what it is at this point but I wish we had not stayed there. We deserve a discount for our issues.

we immediately brought you over a 2nd heater after you mentioned the 1 not keeping it warm enough. and we were told all was good, and never heard from you again.

Two overnight stays on way to warmer weather. This campground was easy find, provided a nice site with 50 amp electric, no water due to season, but reasonably priced site for an overnight rest. Nice big dog park a plus.

Nice convenient stopover for the night with easy directions. We stayed in December and had to winterize here before heading North/Colder so sewer was a must. Water during the winter here was tank only due to winter weather, they do have a place to fill and restrooms open but bear that in mind. If you want running water at the site in the winter have to stay further south.

We Never actually stayed there after calling several times, we were unable to get the key. I understand it was a last minute thing on a holiday weekend. But with people now days glued to their phones I think you could have at least dropped of a key. I think its only proper to give us a full refund.

Your Cabin was unlocked and all ready for you upon arrival. I called you and you did not answer, it was Christmas Eve and we were out of the office. I told you I would get you a key when we got back in a couple hours.

Location is good they were very good about letting us know that in the winter months the sites do not have running water, but they do have water in the front to fill up with. We did come in after a storm but there was a lot of mud and could use more gravel. Our fire pit had garbage in it. We only stayed one night it worked well as a place to rest for the night.

Disappointing that there was no water hookup, but this late in the year there is a big chance of the pipes freezing. I expect that during the warmer weather this is not an issue.
