Campground Reviews

Quiet and very nice. Enjoyed seeing trees and grass so well taken care of. Was so happy to have a place when the KOA in town wouldn’t return any of our calls. So glad we missed KOA and stayed here. We will tell everyone about this place. Close to restaurants and downtown area but just off road to be quiet and secluded

Quick and easy check in, staff very friendly, close to Boot Hill. Central Station was the best food. Free Zoo walking distance. Large city dog park adjoining the KOA also plenty of room to walk your dogs outside the park. RV park was clean.

One of the newest parks we’ve stayed at. Concrete pads, clean facilities, nice dog park. It is smaller than many, but worth booking early in order to stay there. We will stay again when traveling in SW Kansas.

Just a one night. Place is clean and well cared for with big pull through concrete pads. One negative was that there was no staff in the office in the morning. Called the night service to stay an additional night. At first was told okay and made prep to stay. Then received a call later and told the site was not available.

IOverall the property was good. The faucet in the tub could use some updates/repairs. Water pressure very low.

Other than getting someone to answer the phone this was a very nice, clean, and quiet KOA.

The late check in went pretty smooth and easy, the reason I only gave it a 3 is because our back in hook up site was about maybe 20 yds from the train tracks and at 1 am 2 trains went by waking my toddler and and spent the rest of the night trying to get my toddler to go back to sleep.

Interesting park. I think they have an agreement with the city as they are right next to the city park. Their dog park is huge but belongs to the city. Location is walking distance from the historic area and boot hill museum. Their facilities were great, level concrete sites and clean restrooms.

Even though we arrived after hours, check in was easy. The bathrooms and shower house were very clean. This is one of our favorites KOA’s on our way home from Arizona.

Hard to find, especially after dark...no street signage. GPS takes to a different location. Came in 1:30, left at 9:30...still charged full night...have 18' travel trailer, pulled thru a space not to wake everyone backing in that late, still charged pull thru price, even though lots of pull thru spots. Rather than heat up the camper water for a 2am shower, tried the restroom showers, they never di

Unit was filthy appearance was run down you walk in the front door of the paint is peeling the railings are bent and one of the deck spindles was tilted cigarette butts and dog poop surround the premium cabin walls were filthy vinyl peeling up in the bathroom shower barely usable Only Koa I would not recommend that we have stayed at in the last five months!

We stayed in a cozy Deluxe Cabin that had a large refrigerator, stove with oven and microwave. It came with 2 queen beds and the linen and towels along with soap and shampoo and a love seat with a small table with leaf's you can open up. Only 2 table chairs and one bar stool type chair along with dishes but that was limited to One Coffee Cup so only one of us could drink coffee at a time.

We arrived on time and picked up our papers at the office. Instructions were clear . We hooked up, ate supper and checked email on wifi. After a good sleep and BF we were on our way. Good job to KOA. We will stay here in the future.

This was on overnight stay on our way to CA. The park was nice, level site and the bathrooms were clean. We arrived late and left early, but it appears to be walking distance to town.

Just an overnight but well postioned and very clean.

We were somewhat disappointed that the bathroom at the south end of the park was closed the weekend that we stayed. There was no mention that it was closed anywhere in advance as we on purpose picked a spot near it. Just need to have some kind of notice ahead of time that it would be closed. Rest of the park was great being clean, nice and quiet.

Great place to wait out the winter storm!

It was just a one night stop over on a longer trip. There was too much snow on the ground in the space they assigned us, so they let us switch to a different one. We stayed in a pull through, space 38 , which was a level concrete pad. There was a large dog park and a playground. Overall a nice park. Priced too high compared to places we usually stay.

This is a pretty nice KOA. Not the most scenic spot, but a great place to stay over. Water is nice and hot after it gets warm (seems like it takes about 3-5 minutes), and the water pressure is awesome. If you grab a tent site you'll need a 75 foot extension cord to reach your vehicle if you need power to reach it. Overall a nice stay.

A little cold tonight but that's not the parks fault clean park

We tried calling the regular number and the after hours multiple times with no answer. We had no heat, room was 50 degrees when we woke up, only a gallon of hot water, dirty floors, dirty walls, hair and stains on all the linens. The receptionist said the manager would call us and no one has called. I would like a refund for my $180+ I spent there, I should have stayed somewhere else for less.

We didn't have reservations and wanted a safe place to stay. The KOA camp was perfect. It's clean, children and pet friendly. The rv sites are a good size, especially the pull throughs. The restrooms are clean and the showers have hot water and good size. They are located closed to several attractions, especially a waterpark and a free zoo. I would highly recommend it whether you have a reservation or not.

We tent camped. They have grassy areas for tents with tables and water. The shower houses are brand new and some of the nicest I've ever seen. it takes a little bit to get hot water but be patient. They also have a great laundry room. two things that you'll want to know if your tank camping is at that area is Will lit so it might make it a little difficult to sleep due to all the light and also because it's new and in Western Kansas there aren't many trees for shade or hammocks. the place is new and in the great location and very well lived in very safe and the people are friendly who run it. I would not hesitate to go back.
