This is a pretty nice KOA. Not the most scenic spot, but a great place to stay over. Water is nice and hot after it gets warm (seems like it takes about 3-5 minutes), and the water pressure is awesome. If you grab a tent site you'll need a 75 foot extension cord to reach your vehicle if you need power to reach it. Overall a nice stay.

We were coming from Colorado Springs and just needed somewhere for the night. It was very windy but that's just Kansas. :) The facilities were awesome. The only thing I would add would be a privacy fence are around the back side of the tent sights to help with the wind some. You will get a loud wake up call from the passing trains.

Very convenient to Dodge City..a walkable distance which meant I could leave my car at the campground. I was in one of the tent areas. The area was nice and large and level. While I did set up my tent, I sleep in my car. I found the electric pole much too far from where my car was parked and my solar power station inside that I wanted to recharge during the night.The shower heads could be better.

The sign flood light shined into our tent all night (Tent Site #3). I would pick a site further down the line next time.

The young man at the front desk was welcoming & helpful but that is where the pleasantries ended. The showers/bathrooms weren't cleaned & were gross. The other bathroom/showers were locked. Landscaping was severely neglected & the entire campgrounds needs to be mowed. The firepits have grass growing around them which is a fire hazard. Wood bundles for fires were overpriced @$10. Won't return.

Super clean and well maintained facility. Nice friendly young staff the evening I arrived. The store is well stocked but there is no after hours vending so be ready to make coffee. The place is really well lit. Grassy tent spots with picnic table and fire ring, adjacent to main building. <10 min. walk to everything in town so not real quiet or naturey.

Trash in restrooms was not emptied. Only one commode stall had toilet paper. After setting up on our water and electric site we found out the water spigot didn’t work.

I feel like the bathrooms needs to be cleaned (not just picked up) more often. The entire time we were there there were a few stalls with toilet paper on the floor that weren't cleaned up. the showers could have been cleaned (floor) as well. Otherwise, it was a great place.

The staff was very helpful, the facilities were clean and functional, but there is a peacock farm beside the campsites near the front, haha. I enjoyed my stay in a tent site, highly recommend.

Clean facilities, close to main attraction of dodge city (water park, zoo, etc). Only down side is showers were a bit chilly the morning of our stay, until we found the stall with warm water. Outside of that great stop, will return.

We were tent camping. The tent sites are two per lot and there is no fence between we're not tents R and a soccer park! No security from people wondering. Off the street. Fire Rings were so shallow it was too scary to have a fire and it was chilly. Frankly it was like camping in a Walmart parking lot.

I took a four day weekend from work and decided to try out the new KOA in Dodge City. I really like that the campground was not by a major highway and you do not hear the road noise. I was happy that the campground was by a water park because it got hot a few days. Everything is within walking distance to museums and restaurants. I never got to see the owners but got to know the groundskeeper.

From the greeting by Erwin at the front desk until I drove off the property, this was a great overnight stay! Such friendly service, a beautiful place, super clean (bathrooms and camping space), and totally safe. Thanks for a great first KOA experience! Wish I could’ve stayed in the area longer.

Friendly host. Beautiful tent sites but no shade and it was 98 degrees - obviously no ones fault, but host let me pick from any available site, which was very nice. Restrooms needed cleaning.

Not bad! Clean, new, nice people and facilities. The KOA is convenient to downtown, and there is a water park next door. Nice shower stalls, but the water took long to get hot, and the person who laid the floors needed a level; The water flows away from the drain and forms puddles to stand in while dressing. It will be nice as the trees for the tent sites grow.

Overall it was accommodating, the bathrooms were very clean. There weren’t working water pumps, and I didn’t want to wash my dishes in the bathroom sink. (Since we were tent camping, it was also sad the trees were babies and couldn’t provide shade). I do not know if KOA could also do anything about the peacocks and the fireworks! We didn't have reservations and wanted a safe place to stay. The KOA camp was perfect. It's clean, children and pet friendly. The rv sites are a good size, especially the pull throughs. The restrooms are clean and the showers have hot water and good size. They are located closed to several attractions, especially a waterpark and a free zoo. I would highly recommend it whether you have a reservation or not.

We tent camped. They have grassy areas for tents with tables and water. The shower houses are brand new and some of the nicest I've ever seen. it takes a little bit to get hot water but be patient. They also have a great laundry room. two things that you'll want to know if your tank camping is at that area is Will lit so it might make it a little difficult to sleep due to all the light and also because it's new and in Western Kansas there aren't many trees for shade or hammocks. the place is new and in the great location and very well lived in very safe and the people are friendly who run it. I would not hesitate to go back.
