My wife & I have stayed @ this KOA multiple times (before & after it was a KOA). Overall, we had a good 2-night stay. Concerns (not previously encountered): 1) several long-term units poorly kept and 2) men’s shower cold (after 3 timed- cycles). This is a very nice park w good amenities and convenient to local restaurants. We’ll continue to stay here on our trips between Mo. & Colorado.

It was exactly as advertised. You’d get 5 star but the shelf in the one bedroom was a hazard if someone got out of bed in the middle of the night as it was in the walkway and at eye height.

The best thing was the location, near a free zoo and large playground. The playground inside the KOA was ver small. The most disappointing thing was that the bathrooms were locked! If the bathroom/bath house had been open I would have given a higher rating. Also when we went to pay for the night, the person on duty made sure we knew that she would be leaving in 10 minutes. Not welcoming at all.

Clean facilities, close to main attraction of dodge city (water park, zoo, etc). Only down side is showers were a bit chilly the morning of our stay, until we found the stall with warm water. Outside of that great stop, will return.

Long term campers with digs constantly barking and construction workers living there listening to loud music at 1am not to mention they drive the wrong way at alarming speeds

We had a very good stay at Dodge City. We thought the office could have been better staffed. The office was closed the entire weekend we were there. But we will certainly return again next year.

There was no one to check us in and no paperwork for our reservation. I called two times and no one called me back so we just pulled into an empty spot for the night. No one ever called.

Everything was great except for our ability to use the internet. We tried and tried to make reservations along our route home to no avail of getting connected.

We were passing through and decided to stay at the last minute. We were very welcomed by the young man who checked us in, and decided the next day to stay another night. Called the Holiday Inn for 2nd night campsite and she was very friendly. Both employees were so polite and quick with the check in. Campground was clean, spacious and quiet. Will definitely stay again.

It would be nice if the showers would drain away from dressing bench. Had to dress standing in water. Nice campground otherwise.

Since you didn’t have my spot I was designated available (first tenant decided to stay longer and took priority) and I had to go somewhere else then my refund didn’t go through and I had to call TWO more times - worst KOA experience ever!

Stayed in a cabin. The office staff was terrific. The cabin was nice, but it would help if it had toilet paper and perhaps some soap and dish soap. We stayed just 1 night, so we didn't have dish soap with us (thanks to covid, we travel with pretty much everything else!). The setting was convenient and quiet and the sunrise was beautiful on this flat campground - we got the full horizon view.

First of all, it is a very nice park, all paved roads and sites, big sites, decent spacing, BUT there are so many lights at night you'd swear you were in an operating room or in a stadium during a night game. Ridiculous! And through no fault of their own the noise from the nearby elevators never stops. Would we go back, only if we absolutely had to be in Dodge City, otherwise not.

Site was almost clean of trash. Cigarette butts and an empty pack littered the grass on the utility side. Otherwise it was very nice. I appreciate the concrete sites. It makes setting up very easy. The sewer connection had a small leak between the PVC and the concrete.

Since this KOA is run by the hotel it is very hard to get them to answer the phone. We checked in and there was no one in the store. there was a note that said call the hotel if you need anything. We were unable to get propane as they were closed and no one answered the phone. The spots are all concrete and level and long.

We didn't have reservations and wanted a safe place to stay. The KOA camp was perfect. It's clean, children and pet friendly. The rv sites are a good size, especially the pull throughs. The restrooms are clean and the showers have hot water and good size. They are located closed to several attractions, especially a waterpark and a free zoo. I would highly recommend it whether you have a reservation or not.

We tent camped. They have grassy areas for tents with tables and water. The shower houses are brand new and some of the nicest I've ever seen. it takes a little bit to get hot water but be patient. They also have a great laundry room. two things that you'll want to know if your tank camping is at that area is Will lit so it might make it a little difficult to sleep due to all the light and also because it's new and in Western Kansas there aren't many trees for shade or hammocks. the place is new and in the great location and very well lived in very safe and the people are friendly who run it. I would not hesitate to go back.
