We had transmission problems on our way to KS. We didn’t even cross the state line when we had to cancel our reservation. My husband and I attempted to call the KOA multiple times from more than one city and we only received a message that the call could not be completed. I sent an email explaining our situation and need to cancel, and I never received a response. Their communication is not good

We have stayed at this KOA three times this year as it is a good half way point to see our kids and new granddaughter. It is clean and backs up to the local zoo. We will continue to choose this KOA. One side is very near the railroad track, so we request the side farthest from the tracks. Be sure to eat steak at a local restaurant when you stay here.

Employees excellent, very helpful. Lawn maintenance needs help

My wife and I are seasoned campers. We found this facility to be one of the best. It is located downtown Dodge City close to the tourist sits. The facility is very well maintained and we highly recommend this as a must experience camp ground!

All the trash cans and dumpster needed to be dumped and they need to mow and edge the grass. This park is way to new to look shabby. There was a bad fresh oil stain on our pad we had to put something over so we wouldn’t track the oil into our rig. Also, like all KOAs, the WIFI sucks.

Very nice! Would stay again!

Nice sites, clean campground. Close to park and swimming pool. I wish it had a pool but we knew it didn’t. All facilities are new. It was over 100 degrees but voltage was excellent. Good water pressure. Sites easy to get in and out of. No real negatives for a campground.

One night, pleasant front desk staff, would stay there again!

This was a great location to visit on a 11 state motorcycle trip. The camp ground was excellent as well as the staff. We really enjoyed exploring the area.

This is a very basic KOA… very few frills. It’s ok for an over night, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a vacation destination.

Two nights in a motorhome. Level concrete pad, very roomy. Pleasant staff. Laundry worked well and much appreciated. Vending machine out of order. Women’s restroom not clean after cleaning. Sinks still had hair and toothpaste in them. Facility has few amenities. No pool. A shuttle to town would be nice although the mile or so can be walked. Store stocked with few grocery items, more camping item

Great campsite that was very dog friendly. Sites are not crammed in on top of each other and the campground was clean and well-kept.

Nice level pads but the picnic tables have sever weather damage and need to be upgraded. Site shows a free zoo, but it is only a open grassy area with no animals. Staff just sat behind the desk and not very helpful. Would like to see some souvenirs at the shop, but it was as plan as can be.

This was a great place to stay. I think your water park by you should stay open later than 6:00 p.m.

This park is touted the newest KOA park. Not new at all... just rebranded from their fairgrounds park. Sites have ample length and width. Youre gonna hear trains and smell cattle. Not much at all for shade. Office hours posted as 9 - 9, but more times than not they were closed during those hours. Showers are push button and you cant control the water temp. Only 1 laundry machine in working order.

One of the nicest KOAs we have stayed at. Sites are large with space between campers. Well kept and clean park

Great park-clean, safe. Next door is free zoo and great looking water park. Friendly employees!

The WiFi was the best we’ve had at a park, and that’s a huge deal for us!! However the showers in the ladies room were disgusting. There was dust and dirt and hair, we immediately walked out. I was very disappointed because I was really looking forward to a nice shower, and that definitely wasn’t it. The park is also next to bison which is cool but smells a bit. Camp host was extremely frien

This is a fairly new KOA and I don't know if the city fathers had anything to do with it. The KOA is adjacent to a city park that the KOA advertises as if the amenities that are in the park are part of the KOA, Zoo, Water Park, etc. The KOA is essentially a parking lot with concrete pads and gravel pads, shoved together, lots of big rigs, few trees, friendly staff, clean shower house.

One night in motorhome. Nice bath house. Near a zoo with peacock noises. Lol. Small store. Staff very friendly and helpful. Laundry onsite.

Wish the "Zoo" was a little more downwind.

Very nice place. Liked having the water park so close with an eleven year old with us. Close to everything we did. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Poor grounds maintenance, foot high grass at site 45. Looked very unkempt, unfortunately

I would give this experience a 3 if it weren't for the dog park. It's huge- football field huge- and my dog finally played frisbee! Our lot had a fire/grill pit that was grown over with grass. We arrived later in the afternoon and had nowhere to cook our fourth of July steaks. The lot's grass had not been cut and there was trash and lumber and an old stinking doormat scattered on the lot.

Nicest KOA we have stayed in.
Jul 18, 2021
Very nice camp! Next to fair grounds and a water park providing plenty of activity. Huge dog park! A little noisy in the riverbed behind the camp from off roaders, but even that quieted down about dark.

We had a great site, on the end. Concrete pad and the campground sites, bathrooms, laundry facilities were all very nice. It was disappointing that the restrooms were out of order during our stay, amd they didn't get repaired (we were there 6 nights. Some campers got upset about not having sewer on there back in sites, however, the web site clearly states that they are water and electric only.

This is a beautiful park and the employees were really nice. Alex at the front desk was very helpful and attentive to any of our needs.

Short stay but very well kept park. Water nearby is great - our daughter loved it.

Excellent location, clean facility and friendly staff

Very nice campground. Close to historic sites and Wright Park. Staff was friendly and the facilities (bath house, laundry, and camp store) were clean and in good order. We would stay here again.

When we arrived there was no electricity to the spot given so they gave us another and let us check out later the following day. Office was very accommodating.

We didn't have reservations and wanted a safe place to stay. The KOA camp was perfect. It's clean, children and pet friendly. The rv sites are a good size, especially the pull throughs. The restrooms are clean and the showers have hot water and good size. They are located closed to several attractions, especially a waterpark and a free zoo. I would highly recommend it whether you have a reservation or not.

We tent camped. They have grassy areas for tents with tables and water. The shower houses are brand new and some of the nicest I've ever seen. it takes a little bit to get hot water but be patient. They also have a great laundry room. two things that you'll want to know if your tank camping is at that area is Will lit so it might make it a little difficult to sleep due to all the light and also because it's new and in Western Kansas there aren't many trees for shade or hammocks. the place is new and in the great location and very well lived in very safe and the people are friendly who run it. I would not hesitate to go back.
