Staff was friendly and helpful. No problems with any of the services, except the wifi was largely unusable. The playground with the antique fire truck, helicopter, and submarine was a big hit for our son! Despite the fire smoke, it was nice to walk around and watch the horses stabled there.

We found this park because we had a mandatory evacuation order for the Cameron Peak Fire and it was only thirty minutes from home. We wouldn't normally stay here since it is so close to home but after getting here we both commented on what a nice park it was. Flat, full length pads, nice, well trimmed trees. I didn't try the showers but my daughter said they were spotless. Managers were great.

On our way to Denver we hit traffic at the Utah/Wyoming border delaying our trip by a few hours. We decided we couldn't make it to Denver and stopped here. Helmut found us a great camping spot to accommodate our SUV and Uhaul moving truck. The only downside was a ton of litter in the fire ring. The camp manager was kind/helpful. I appreciated that a police car patrolled during the night--felt safe

Absolutely lovely, clean camp. Nice wide level spaces, clean showers, kind people. The only reason I don't rate them higher is the smell. We ran our air conditioner overnight and it kept the smell out, but that wouldn't be possible in a tent.

Quiet, clean, staff very friendly and ready to help. This was our second time staying with them and will stay again. Very affordable too.

Very friendly people, loved how large the site was. Beautiful flower beds at entrance to park and at the office. The trees in the park need a little TLC but all in all we look forward to staying many more times.

Overall our two nights of camping were pretty decent. The premium sites are excellent. Trim those trees a bit for us bigger rigs. The staff were very friendly. The challenge was being next door to the horse area, the manure smell was pretty strong throughout the weekend. Along with that the flies were pretty bad throughout the weekend as well. We had to eat inside. Kids loved the great playground!

We had a very pleasant stay at Fort Collins, the people were great and the camp was very quiet and clean.

Too many permanent residents for campground. Also garbage dumpsters smelled horrible the whole time. Would not recommend unless absolutely necessary. Also pool down, bicycles allowed only on gravel roads ?

The park is clean and neat. We noted residents who appeared to be more or less permanent. Their rigs however had materials closing up the bottom that really gave the park the look of a poor trailer park. The wifi was almost totally useless. We have friends near the park so we will start there again next year. The staff were very nice.

Sorry, even though the staff was super nice, we were quite disappointed. The cabin was very worn and air didn't cool it. The bathrooms were outdated and showers were ice/ burned if someone flushed. Flies galore from horses. Stinky poop smell from them paired with the hot cabin was just not comfortable.

Too many residents felt like a trailer park not a campground. The swimming area was nasty even though it was closed. Employees friendly, fflowers beautiful!!!!!!

Stayed during COVID and a Wildfire that had just started. So Pool was closed, the air was smoky and it was one night. It did seem that there was a nice playground for the kids and I liked the tent sites. I did not care for our neighbors as they let their dog run freely into our site. The dog tore up our garbage bag and we had to clean up the mess. I thought dogs were to be leashed, MINE WAS.

#1-Electric service in 1st site did not work properly #2- Lost money in laundry dryer #3- Way to many full timer sites, felt like I was in a trailer court. #4- Swiming pool was discusting, clean it up or just take it out all together, sorry sometime the truth hurts, The folks who worked the office and store were very good and freindly, would give them a (A+) for what they had to work with.

Too many permanent residents making it seem like one step up from a homeless camp and feed lot smelled so bad we couldn't sit outside. We won't be returning.

It's a nice setting and staff seem nice. We reserved our spot in person, specifically requesting a certain site and were told that we would have that site. When we arrived however, someone else was in that site and were told that she was going to be staying there for two weeks and we would have to have a different site. So, that was a big disappointment.

I could only access their WiFi From their rec room. Not the fault of the campground but the flies there are awful. Bring a fly swatter

I did not have a great stay. There were employees not wearing maks inside, no sign of disinfecting anything, and groups of people allowed to not wear masks. We also were not made aware before hand that there were no fires allowed. I feel as though there should have been a notice sent out informing us there were no fires so that we could've gotten a propane grill or something to cook dinner on.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Went out of their way to accomodate us even on a very busy weekend! Would highly recommend the location and highly commend the entire staff!

Staff work hard to ensure cleanliness and upkeep. Price is fair. But, the shift in winds brings in the smell of manure from the feed lots nearby.

We really enjoyed getting away for the weekend. It will be even better when the pool is up and running. The people working there were very nice.

I stayed in a camping cabin. The guy a few cabins down seemed to be emotionally disturbed. He talked to himself for hours while walking around the campgrounds. He walked over to the pavilion and was doing calisthenics all while talking to himself. Then he walked over to the grassy area and continued his calisthenics still talking to himself. This went on till 2 or 3 in the morning.

Apparently KOA Journey means, dont stay there. While the sites were of reasonable size, there was very poor internet coverage and much of place looked like a worn out trailer park. There were numerous long term residents and junk campers parked everywhere. The staff were friendly enough but slow and not overly helpful.

The showers were unacceptable. Both men's and women's had two temps: boiling hot or stone cold. If you were able to fine a medium temp, it would periodically switch to hot or cold. Dangerous! Also, men's shower was a single small stream (no spray). Further, the manure odor from the adjacent horse farm was very objectionable. And finally, neither the toilet nor shower stalls are ADA compliant.

Clean grounds but really just a parking lot for permanent residents. Fine just to park the rig for a weekend or overnight. Few activities.

Helmut and Monica are absolutely the best! They went above and beyond to find us a space for a last minute reservation on a very full weekend while we returned to Wellington for a family emergency. There are definitely prettier KOAs, but the staff makes up for any amenities that are not available. If you need a no frills, but clean and hospitable campground, stay at Wellington KOA.

Did not stay. Pulled in and did not feel safe. 80% long term rentals. That makes it a trailer park. Then there was the smell of the meat processing plant down the road. Don’t stop here.

There was a strong manure smell while we were there. Not sure if it was from their horse stables or the farm down the road. If not for that one rank problem I would have given this KOA 5 stars for facilities, location and sites.

Some of the reviews complain about things that you should either expect, being in the country, or are a bonus, like the senior horse rescue non-profit. Yes there are some flies, there are also ranching and farming operations all around the area, and if I go to Florida, I expect gators, no different here.
