Perfect location to visit the El Malpais Park Little cabin was the best that we have stayed in. The table and chairs inside was nice for playing a game in the evening after our day of exploring.

Friendly staff and Paula was so accommodating; extremely clean bathroom & shower facilities; cozy cabin heated & porch light left on for late arrival; free coffee/breakfast & cookie; delicious homecooked dinner delivered to my cabin; scenic walking trail; laundry room; great gift shop (support of Native American artisans); stayed an extra night and would definitely stat again; best KOA yet!

I was a late arrival. Everything was ready for me with full instructions. The sleeper cabin was very clean and was already warm for my arrival including a porch light on. That was so reassuring for a woman traveling alone in a strange area. I would absolutely recommend this KOA!

Friendly staff, very updated and clean restrooms with showers. Cabins were warm despite the cold weather. Stocked camp store with coffee a light breakfast. Will make this campground a regular stop.

It was easy to make reservations. Very friendly and happy to help. First time at a KOA I was so impressed with this campground, very clean and quiet. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. I will be coming back on the way home.

We stayed in a small Kabin on our road trip across the states… it was a perfect stop for us. Even though it was the winter storm, and the temps dropped to -9 outside, the Kabin stayed warm and cozy! Probably the most friendly hosts we've encountered. We were arriving late ... staying in one of the cabins. The lights were on, the heat was on and the cabin was very clean. In the morning, they had the coffee ready at 7:00am (even though the office wasn't open until 7:30am ... they let us in!). Although it's a rugged place there in New Mexico, all the facilities were very clean and stocked.

Like the cabins, tent site could use a little more gravel, make for softer bedding, maybe a heated outhouse near middle or east end of site...good location access on my trips

Perfect overnight to break up the long drive on Hwy 40. Friendly staff, super nice and clean restrooms, easy off and on the hwy. So nice we booked a cabin for the drive home too!

I stayed in one of the cabins. There was a nice little heater there that kept the place very warm. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay there again on my trip back across the country

This is a jewel of a KOA, in the Badlands, absolutely gorgeous bathrooms/showers, dinner service, breakfast, the nicest staff I've experienced at a KOA, I will definitely stay again next trip southeast.

I loved this location. The staff were very nice and the bathrooms were very nice and very clean. They had a dinner service that was wonderful. The only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because it was super stinky from the RV’s black water. I don’t know if they weren’t hooked up correctly or what but it was bad and that may not have anything to do with the location.

stayed in the bunkhouse cabin because we had our dog with us. simple and small, but clean and had an authentic cabin feel. campground has 2 small dog parks and a pleasant walking trail.

Great KOA one of the best we have stayed in. KOA Cabin was clean and very functional the AC worked and had a Tv. Dinner delivered to us Hugh plus. Bathrooms were new spotless and high quality. Staff friendly and very good. Really enjoyed our brief overnight stay. Very accommodating for our dogs immaculate dog run and great trail thru lava rocks.

Very clean cabin, cookies were great! Only weird thing was my car was covered in flies everytime i went to it,possibly because of the horse dens behind the cabin but it was harmless. Clean bathrooms!

One of our favorite parks on our road trip across country. Staff is incredible , showers are amazing and the dog area is really close by! Next time I want one of the spots with a patio!

Stayed here one night while driving cross country with two cats and it was great! Clean restrooms, warm cabin with cable TV, respectful neighbors, reasonable pet fee ($10). Bonus points for mailing my dad his jacket after we left it.
