The site’s were well kept and leveled. Store was very well stocked. Best we’ve seen this trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the walk in the desert amongst the lava boulders.

Small KOA but very nicely kept. Also had a great breakfast available for free.

Not the easiest place to maneuver. And spots really small. Couldn’t even put all slides out

Very friendly folks and the way they have approached listing “dos and don’ts” is hysterical!

2nd stay. People that run the park are great. When we go back through again we’ll be sure to stop in.

Great hosts! We stopped for a single night to check out El Mapias and El Moro National Monuments. The campground was clean, easy access off I40 and very friendly! We were met with fresh baked cookies and the funniest camp rules I’ve seen! I posted them on their site. We’re still laughing! Sample… firearms and fireworks are only allowed inside your RV not the campground!

Even though we arrived late, this KOA campground was very organized for late check-in's. They have a very nice office and camp store. Continental breakfast is a nice feature! They make Lavaland campground look like the dump it really is! We will definitely stay there again. We stayed there in a small travel trailer..

We were greeted with a smile, cookies and doggie treats for our fur babies. Highly recommend if you’re fishing Bluewater for Tiger Muskie. Safe and secure!

Check in was easy, the office provided 2 cookies when you checked in and they also had a continental breakfast in the morning. Fresh coffee, tea and several cereals with some donuts and toast. It was easy to pull into our site and all the connections were convenient. They have a smaller dog park, but there is a trail that runs through the lava field that is right next to the campground.

Ok for a necessary overnight stop on I40. Far to cramped and noisy for longer

Paul and Deana were very knowledgeable about the area and went out of their way to make sure I was happy. I changed my plans and stayed 2 days. They worked around my touring plans to set up a fill time for propane. The bathrooms were far above (cleanliness and condition) what you see in most campgrounds including KOA. Best KOA I’ve seen in 20 years of towing and RVing.

Good: very friendly staff, nice bathrooms, convenient location and the lava fields are neat. It was going below freezing so we were happy to have electric for our heaters. Bad: tight campsites, sewer hoses steps from our picnic table is disgusting, road and train noise. Obviously we are spoiled by state and federal parks, this type of “camping” is not our preference at all.

We like the campground we love the idea that you have a continental breakfast only one thing that keeps you from getting perfect stars would be if you had some lighting when people come in at night time

One of our favorite parks on our road trip across country. Staff is incredible , showers are amazing and the dog area is really close by! Next time I want one of the spots with a patio!

Stayed here one night while driving cross country with two cats and it was great! Clean restrooms, warm cabin with cable TV, respectful neighbors, reasonable pet fee ($10). Bonus points for mailing my dad his jacket after we left it.
