As always Gulf Shores KOA is our choice to stay when traveling to Alabama/Florida beaches. The cabins are a home away from home with many amenities.

I have stayed here for 6 years now and this year was the worst, the men’s restroom is in a state of disrepair urinal is ripped off the wall none of the shower or toilet doors will latch when you are inside there is a fan plugged in with no plate on it all the faucets in the showers feel like they will break off when you turn them on. Wanted to be in a koa close to Destin. This is the closest- however it was a tad bit disappointing. No ac in extremely hot rest room and one restroom didn’t even have a fan :( we unfortunately had ants and roaches in our room This koa is not one to write home about. The only good thing was the swimming pool- but when your there to spend time at the beach- the beach wins.

Not a bad place to park your RV. However the park does need some upgrades. My wife became ill on the 3rd day of our 5 day stay. I asked management about the possibility of leaving a day early due to her circumstances & a reimbursement for the final day. The answer was unsympathetic for our cause. Was told I had to give a 48 hr. notice. When we returned home, we discovered that she had Covid 1

We stayed for 4 nights and it is a nice campground. The pool is great and the staff are friendly. We really liked the shrubs between each camp site as it lent some privacy between campers. The grass could be mowed but it was not too bad and it was very hot so I understand it not mowed then.

Worst KOA I have stayed at! Campground is very small and not well maintained. Deluxe Cabins are horrible and very outdated. Day 1 I got locked in my cabin and had to climb out of the window until I could get a hold of someone the next morning. Day 2 after being out at the beach all day we get back and our cabin is INFESTED with roaches. This place if filthy. Never again!!!

Was bad. Told lady I needed 4 nights. She only did 3. Had to move camper and missed something real important. Ladies there don’t know what they are doing. Bad. �Ϫ

We enjoyed our stay. The campground was clean, spacious and very enjoyable. The one negative I had is, there were a few juveniles (below 10 years of age) driving golf carts around in a reckless manner.

We were very unhappy that there were roaches in both cabins our group stayed in. The park has a nice location but lacks in cleanliness.

It's nice to have a place to go near the beach during peak season that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! The rates for the accommodations are a great value. The pool was very cloudy. While the pool had several people swimming in it (mid-day) the maintenance guys poured in 2 gals. of chlorine and did not have the pool evacuated. THIS IS VERY, VERY UNSAFE! I wish check-in was earlier.

Loved the front desk staff; Kabin needed some updating/attention; skirting rotted; front door was filthy; grounds not as well maintained as we remember; pool needed cleaning. We will go back though.

Compared to other KOAs this one missed the mark. The “beach” was very small. The pool was so full of chemicals it was hard to swim in. No children were allowed in the hot tub or you were threatened to be fined and evicted. Overall not the best stay and probably will not be returning.

Beach? Just a little sand and it’s bay water. Great for fishing I’m sure! Campground was quiet and very shaded with those large oaks. Pool was adequate but no lights at night. Our AC in our trailer went out so we left after 2 nights.

It was a very cute cozy cabin, the bay on the other hand looked like brown tea, but the day we’re leaving we got to see dolphins splashing around

It was a short stay. But this was the nicest campground I have stayed in. Clean and quiet. Nice pool. Bathrooms are clean. I would stay here again.

I arrived late and left early the next morning. The site was difficult to find in the darkness of night. The picnic table and wood deck were. Ice amenities.

Site was clean but very narrow. Staff was friendly. My husband LOVED the pier; he fished every night. Campgrounds was close to restaurants and beach but still off the main road enough so there was no traffic. Nice shady site.

Just one night but it was great. Pool was nice and opened late (until 10pm). They also had an ice cream social...$3 for all you can eat ice cream. One item of note; need to make sure the site is the correct amperage. Our original site was supposedly 30A but when we set up it was only 50A circuit and we had forgotten the adaptor. They were gracious enough to move us to a spot with 30A circui

Very cute cabins! But, a/c took a long time to cool, I had to buy 2 fans. Hard to reach anyone on the phone line. Never did get connected to the internet with the advertised "free wi-fi". We enjoyed our time, and bathrooms were very clean.However, the staff didn't seem too concerned with either thing that was not up to par. Chubbys pizza next door was worse pizza i think ive had. No plasticware

Overall it was fine. The site was tiny and our front door opened on our neighbors sewer hook up. That was the biggest negative. Bathrooms were dated and cleanish. Proximity to beach and parks was good.

Noise was a big problem. Nothing you can do about noisy campers but most of the sites are so close together that it exacerbates this problem.

Our stay was awesome. Camp sight J10 was wonderful. My only complaint is trash service needs to be more than one day a week. The dumpsters by J10 were full Saturday after they were emptied out on Thursday.

We had a wonderful month staying at the KOA in January. It wasn't far from Perdido Key or other main beaches but we honestly just really enjoyed our time at the park. There is a beach on the bay, great fishing, and our kids even caught crabs. We'll definitely be back!

We arrived to the area earlier than expected and ended up booking two nights here. We loved it! Staff extremely nice, great fishing pier, nice beach area, we launched our kayak and enjoyed the bay, saw dolphins in the bay, easy access to gulf shores area to enjoy the beaches. Facilities were clean and easily accessible. Didn't get a chance to use the pool. I would really like to get a group of people together and rent the cabins down by the water…looks like such a neat area! Will stay again!
