The location was great but the whole campground smelled like sewage the majority of the days we were there. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Dog run was excellent as was the general area for the fire and hanging out. If not for the smell would definitely have given a higher rating.

I like that the sites are pull through and level with full hook ups. The close proximity to Jasper, Hinton and Folding Mountain is nice too. It’s very pleasant to be away from the highway and rail noise that usually comes with camping in the mountains.

All facilities very clean site very nicely laid out and easy access. The one area of being more enjoyable would be to have fire pits if weather conditions allow

We have stayed at Jasper/Hinton KOA before and found it to be suitable. However, when we stayed there on Saturday, August 8, 2020, there was a strong smell of sewer in the air. We thought it was just an anomoly; however, when we returned from Banff to stay there again on Friday, August 14, 2020, the same strong smell of sewer was hanging in the air. Not pleasant.

My trailer fell off the hitch because I hadn't hooked it up properly, the gentleman who takes care of the ground was so very helpful, helping me to get it back on and giving me the phone number for rv repair then checking up on me periodically and refusing money, very nice. The feont desk staff were also very nice and helpful

Very friendly staff, nice accommodations, just unfortunate that we went at a time where we couldn't have fires but they have a cooking station and communal fireplace. It was all around lovely and we will be back next time to try out the cabins

WE had a small leisure RV van (19 foot). We were given a nice tent site but told we had to park the van on the small gravel spot right next to a neighbouring tent site. We didnt have any social distancing from the people beside us. We were not pleased. We ended up moving our van onto the poor grassed area away from the site beside us to social distant from the site parking spot beside us.

The water test was awful (like metal + blood)-Sites are extremely small and very bad organized (my water was on the other side of my rv and far away and power also was located on the other side. Dump station small and no good for bigs rv. The Outside kitchen without lights Washrooms without soap or hand sanitizer. Very poor Indication to reach your site. Extremely expensive for your service.

Well equipped camping site! It even has a kitchen!!! Very helpful staffs. Open space so you’ll be able to see Rockies from your tent.

Not what we expected no fires and no swimming pools and bathroom were old and not well maintained and cleaning wasn’t the greatest and we stayed at a lot of koas before at least they have a swimming pool and activity for everyone and a games area

Last minute entry and the staff at the office where great got me a site 066 for 2 nights. Great site but boy you can smell the sewer pit at night but loved the full service site. I moved to other site because someone was coming into it so moved over to site 005 again full service but seem that the 50 amp power would kick out when it rained the last night there. To me the site are to close together

We were disappointed the wi-fi didn't work for almost the entire 5 days we were there. It was one of the reasons we chose this campground.

The campground was rundown. Our picnic table was dirty and old. We had stayed there because of the wifi but that was sparatic and unrealiable. For the money we paid per night it wasn’t worth it.

Loved the place. Only complaint is that there are no boards to be seen at night driving from Jasper when it is dark. Had to do a U turn both nights to get to the property. Otherwise excellent!

We have been to multiple KOA’s and this one is definitely below par! In need of some serious upgrading. Showers were clean but small and very outdated. However they had hot water. Forget about wifi cause it didn’t work most of the time. As for the actual site itself, there are more weeds then actual grass. Playground for the kids was good!

The bathrooms could have been significantly cleaner and needed some updates/ repairs. Otherwise, a good site.

The cabin we stayed in was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The mini fridge was really great for keeping our food safe and cold and the camp kitchen was awesome!! The bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. We had a great stay overall!

Stinky smell at the site. The fresh water at the site was yellowish as pee. Will not stay at Hinton KOA anymore.

Off leash area for dogs a great idea, but some structures could use some maintenance. Getting weathered and worn. Staff was great. Very helpful. Going to return in 2 weeks for another stay.

The campground was clean and the employees friendly. However the septic vents cause half the campground to smell like fecal matter making it impossible to enjoy being outside. Also the water was yellow, tasted horrible and had a strange odor

Sites too small, to close to each other. Water dirty and bad smell. Entrance to bathrooms dirty, soap not available all the time. Laundry room was great.

Noisy party of about 40-50 people who kept others awake after dark; management did nothing about it. This party partially took over the shelter, ignoring Covid 19 regulations and making it awkward for other campers to use. Only one shower of two working during a busy long weekend, inadequate cleanliness in bathrooms.

Treated well. they allowed us an extra night stay with short notice. Lack of trees and relatively small sites is the only reservation I have. Washrooms and showers were clean. All good.

The sites are all open as others have mentioned, so there is not much privacy. The gates close at 11 pm, which is a bit frustrating considering the town of Jasper is 45 minutes away and therefore if you're dining or hanging out in Jasper you have to rush back to make sure you make the gate it time otherwise your locked out. It would also be difficult for those wanting to take a day trip to Banff and have to return back to the campground in time. I understand making the campground safe by locking the gate, but perhaps closing the gate should occur a bit later maybe midnight? Only other complaint would be is we had to cancel the final night of our stay which was 3 days away, but we were not given any refund. We were aware of the 48 hour cancellation policy, but the policy means before arrival ONLY… despite if the date you're cancelling is more than 48 hours away… so that was a bit disappointing.

Loved our stay, however it was not the best. Had lots of trouble with the vending machines and washer and dryers taking our money and not working properly. Staff usually weren't around for us to bring up the concern because it always happened after hours. Other than that I would say the experience was great! It was quiet, and the spot that we had set up our camper in also had a concrete slab with its own picnic table which was really nice. For the most part we were out exploring so it was more less a place for us to set up. I would say it is slight over priced for what you get out of it.
