Campground Reviews

Oct 28, 2021
Campground closed October 1st, the picnic tables were removed from the sites Sept 21 and stored in the outdoor fire pit gazebo. No more fire to enjoy. The wifi that is advertised is NON existent. The potable water that feeds your RV is disgusting, the external water filter was full of dirt and sediment. I have photos. I was also charged an extra day and not able to reach anyone. No one there cared

very clean next time well come when everything is still in season we stayed a couple of days before closing so I understand why things weren't available, and shower curtains needed to be changed.

It was short but easy to access and set up. Everyone was very friendly, so nothing to complain about except the weather lol.

Was assigned a site that had both 50 amp & 30 amp service, even though I only required 30 amp service and only used 30 amp, I was charged for 50 amp service approx. $8.00/day more. The rates on weekends go up by $10.00/ night. Alot of the sewer conncetions are above ground, higher than RV connection. my site not level, pooling water when it rains arounf RV. Non- refundable deposit watch for this.

First On Site management very Pleasant and Helpful,a PLEASURE to deal with. However not much they can do when the OWNERSHIP will not invest in the property to upgrade the NON-EXISTENT WI-FI (THE WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MANY CAMPGROUNDS AND HOTELS/MOTELS. They could also expand their PITIFUL Cable Channel Selection (PATHETIC} More landscaping, TREES,Shrubs etc. LOOKS PRETTY BARREN .

The season closes September 30th, we had booked 2 nights in the cabin a week prior to closing, we called in advance to ask about the fire pit and were informed it would accessible. Upon arriving they had closed down the fire pit, kampers kitchen and said they were going to turn off the water but we convinced them to leave it on. If we did not bring a camp stove we wouldn’t have been able to cook

Fall hiking trip, only disappointment was the fire pit area was not available, not sure if that was Covid related or something else.

Internet only available at campground office. . Roads are terrible. Good enough for a stop over.

No Wifi doesn’t help when you are travelling long distances! Showers were not great!

As a former ranch, the sites have no trees, which meant zero privacy and very windy conditions. The wifi was almost non existent, which isn't acceptable for a KOA. The sites are just barely long enough to accommodate a 25' trailer & a truck.
Sep 18, 2021
Everything was as advertised except WIFI. It was only available if you stood out side the office doors. Having access to wifi was the deciding factor for booking with KOA in the first place. Please, if you are going to advertise it make it happen. Very misleading. Everything else was great.

We had a great one night stay. The property was clean and tidy (well looked after) and quiet. We have stayed here before and will do so in the future. Thank you once again for making this leg of our trip enjoyable.

Good staff. Washrooms clean. Showers need cleaning in the corners ( hair everywhere ). Cable tv had a notice up constantly to reboot. Couldn't watch it.

Clean and quiet campground. Friendly helpful staff. No fires in the big pit, but I understand why.

Aside from crows jumping all over the roof at night….pleasant stay.

We were only there for a short period of time (overnight), but we were very impressed by how impeccable the site was.

Privacy was good. Internet connection was really poor and mostly non existent during our stay and same with the tv channels. It`s hard to lock the bathroom and we never used the bbq as we can`t figure it out. There was no one to ask for help after the office was closed for the day.

I have been taking my family to KOA every year. This year will be the last year. It was filthy. I mean disgusting. These are just a few pictures. The outdoor cook hut was COVERED in bird poop. And DIRTY! I tried to clean but it was too much that we all lost our appetite. There was no covid regulations, and no hand sanitizer in sight. You couldn’t cook with the stove because they barely turned o

They had no internet access and frankly it wasn't a great park. When you charge $30.00 a night more then anyone else I expect a lot more.

First time at the Hinton KOA. Very clean, friendly staff, excellent dog park and dog run. Great location.

Because I had stayed in over 20 KOA's in 2019 on my Bucket list trip across Canada and the USA I knew that I would get a quality site with amenities. Was easy access to and from our route to Dawson Creek, BC through the Banff and Jasper Hwy's.

Stay was good,no wifi

The campground host was mor concerned about parking on the grass then seeing if I was set up okay. Facilities very unclean , had a shower with my socks on I was so surprised. My first time in a KOA and disappointing that I bought a year rmembership. The whole place needs a coat of paint and some money put into infrastructure

The sites are all open as others have mentioned, so there is not much privacy. The gates close at 11 pm, which is a bit frustrating considering the town of Jasper is 45 minutes away and therefore if you're dining or hanging out in Jasper you have to rush back to make sure you make the gate it time otherwise your locked out. It would also be difficult for those wanting to take a day trip to Banff and have to return back to the campground in time. I understand making the campground safe by locking the gate, but perhaps closing the gate should occur a bit later maybe midnight? Only other complaint would be is we had to cancel the final night of our stay which was 3 days away, but we were not given any refund. We were aware of the 48 hour cancellation policy, but the policy means before arrival ONLY… despite if the date you're cancelling is more than 48 hours away… so that was a bit disappointing.

Loved our stay, however it was not the best. Had lots of trouble with the vending machines and washer and dryers taking our money and not working properly. Staff usually weren't around for us to bring up the concern because it always happened after hours. Other than that I would say the experience was great! It was quiet, and the spot that we had set up our camper in also had a concrete slab with its own picnic table which was really nice. For the most part we were out exploring so it was more less a place for us to set up. I would say it is slight over priced for what you get out of it.
