We stayed at the Hinton/Jasper KOA twice this past summer on our way through. We like it because it's right on Hwy 16 & easy to get to. The campsites are all pull-through, which is great, & the hookups are also very good. Over the past number of years, we have found that the last year or two the facility doesn't seem to be kept up as well as it was previously. We do plan to stay here again howe

I was in Hinton to enjoy day trips on my motorcycle and it rained constantly for 50 straight hours ( not a problem that the owner could prevent or remedy). I had booked for 4 days. As the weather was predicted to continue I asked about checking out one day early and was advised that 48 hr notice was required for a refund. I understand the policy but I feel some flexibility would be nice. Grt spot

We were camping during a heavy rain fall , hard to find a site without water puddles where jacks set up. This park needs to plant trees . This would bring the rating up.

We used to live in the Sea Bolt subdivision where this KOA is and we had never been on the property after it was made into the KOA. We moved away six years ago and came back for a visit with our camper. We stayed two nights as we traveled further East and then on our way back, we liked the convenience, cleanliness and beauty of the campsite we decided to stay there again.

Not your typical KOA standards I would say.Bathrooms and the shower really need a cleaning and new caulking it was very grubby. Toilets were not clean. need to grade and smooth out the driveway into the place is very bumpy lots of holes. Was not impressed with the campground. I did not feel that it was to the KOA standards that I’ve seen. Reasonably friendly staff.

We arrived with my daughter and son-in-law we had booked 2 sites but they were not together the lady went above and beyond to get us together. We so appreciate that!!!

Love that they have a dog walk and a Kamp K9. It was very clean and always nice to stay at.

we enjoyed our stay. This is the first time we have camped with a dog. Our puppy loved the K9 park. She would pull us to it so she could run. A great addition to the KOA.

We were running late to check in and your innkeeper stayed late to check us in. She and her husband went above and beyond beyond to see to our needs. We are so grateful after driving 13 hours.

A quick two night stay. Campground is simple layout with gravelled parking and grass between sites, but without any trees or fences to provide a sense of privacy. We had no issues with the utilities. Overall fair.

Compared to other KOA this one is very drab. The owners do not really feel like working in any capacity. No maintenance work completed only what "Needs" to be done. All vending out of order for the entire stay. The out of order signs stuck to them were so weathered it is obvious they have been there for a long time. Wifi was un usable. Community fire is uncomfortable better to have your own. Laundary closed to early. Bathrooms were good

We come and go from this KOA at least twice a year on our visits in Alberta. Unfortunately this time we were place beside an RV that apparently did not read the quite time rules. They were partying right beside our bedroom till. 2am. Which made it very hard to sleep. No respect at all. ��

Showing it's age in places but clean & tidy. Very close pitches, sat on top of neighbours sewer pipe! Great views of the mountains.

Campground is very well taken care of, clean and friendly. Kudos to the staff! It would be nice to see a little bit more invested into the site in terms of entertainment/activities for families and kids however.

The campground is beautiful and very clean. Some of the employees are nice but some are very rude. The 2 employees scolded us and were belligerent and I get that we were eating by the campfire and we didn’t know it’s not allowed. They could have talked to us nicely. We plan on travelling to the US but not booking with KOA again.

We were at the fire fit place and brought some foods and we didnt know that you are not suppose to eat there and we did not see any sign at all except for the time that ends to use the fire fit at 10:30. This chinese lady (petite) came to us and starting to say "oh my God so many times thats seems that we did a crime and she is unprofessional. Our stay is good only her that ruined our stay

We wish we could’ve spent more time there. We were on a schedule of sorts and had to arrive late and leave early…..but the accommodations were just what our tired selves needed. We chose KOA because it is always dependable in what is agreed upon; so elsewhere when arriving late would pose surprises not expected and no one to help is just not good!!!!!

The sites are all open as others have mentioned, so there is not much privacy. The gates close at 11 pm, which is a bit frustrating considering the town of Jasper is 45 minutes away and therefore if you're dining or hanging out in Jasper you have to rush back to make sure you make the gate it time otherwise your locked out. It would also be difficult for those wanting to take a day trip to Banff and have to return back to the campground in time. I understand making the campground safe by locking the gate, but perhaps closing the gate should occur a bit later maybe midnight? Only other complaint would be is we had to cancel the final night of our stay which was 3 days away, but we were not given any refund. We were aware of the 48 hour cancellation policy, but the policy means before arrival ONLY… despite if the date you're cancelling is more than 48 hours away… so that was a bit disappointing.

Loved our stay, however it was not the best. Had lots of trouble with the vending machines and washer and dryers taking our money and not working properly. Staff usually weren't around for us to bring up the concern because it always happened after hours. Other than that I would say the experience was great! It was quiet, and the spot that we had set up our camper in also had a concrete slab with its own picnic table which was really nice. For the most part we were out exploring so it was more less a place for us to set up. I would say it is slight over priced for what you get out of it.
