We had heard good things about this campground; however, we were very disappointed with the condition of our site. We only stayed one night. Picnic table in very poor condition, site was full of ruts, grass was feel of weeds and unkept. Neighbor ran his incredibly loud generator all night. Campground is in a beautiful location but not likely to go back again given price they are charging

Our stay was excellent. My only concern was the water. It was yellow and had a nasty odor. This will not deter us from staying again.

It was very uneventful. It was pricey with no pool or many of the other amenities found at other KOA campgrounds.

The staff are out of this world!!! Everyone in the office was very accommodating, we are grateful for everything. Great service, amazing site, awesome hook ups, beautiful kids area, nice dog play place by the way ( we didnt have pets). Thank you to ALL of you you made our long journey very enjoying..

The only thing we didn’t like is how close we were to the next site’s sewer and the lack of trees on the sites. This worked well as a base to visit the park. The staff were very nice. I also liked that there are several ways you can book the camp and we might look to book with a group next year. Thank you for a great week!

Great location to Jasper without the crowds of visitors creating a quite place after a busy day visiting Jasper and doing walks at various locations

The campground is very well maintained. However I wonder why with all the empty sites we were put right next to other people we could have been spread out a little more. When I made reservations the day before the message said only 1 site left. clearly this was not the case there were lots of sites open,

Bathrooms adequate, not amazing like we’ve seen at other KOAs. Why were we placed RIGHT beside another RV when the KOA was 40% full? The people beside us didn’t abide by the rules - parked on the grass, and had no sewer cap, so we got to smell that. We were too tired at the end of our busy days to move - we followed the rules - it shouldn’t be on us to move Average stay, premium price.

I was surprised there were not campfires at each site, only community ones which we did not use. Also the photos on line are deceiving, it does not look the same in person- online photos are nicer. Water quality was not the best although we drank it anyways. sites were clean but very bare. Just weeds and shrubs at each site. If you book in advance you pay way more than booking last minute.

We loved the welcome and services. It was very peaceful. We highly enjoyed the laundry services and the pet walkway in nature, and the agility pet park. It was the best for our dog. Tents, cabins and RV is a great combination for families. Great place to stay!

Was not very happy about the sewer slipping uphill. I had to get the maintenance man who agreed it was not a good situation at that site. I had to move the trailer to another site ( which I had to hunt for) so I could empty my tanks. You need to take care of this situation soon. The ground slopped up toward the sewer and then the sewer stand was way to high out of the ground.

Everything KOA provided was great! Unfortunately there were a few barking dogs all evening /night and was clear that someone had used the laundry machines for pet blankets.. that was annoying as non dog owners with a baby.

The facilities were soooo clean and the support staff very friendly and new their jobs and the area well. It was a great stay.

We always love staying at the KOA Hinton/Jasper when we head to Jasper. However, we didn't appreciate that our neighbours brought their own fire pit with them as it made the evening very smoky (lots of smoke, very little fire).

Booked a few different sites with KOA for a cross Canada trip. Covid restrictions forced me to cancel my trip. I cancelled all KOA reservations, however did not receive a confirmation email for one stay. Was charged for a night I did Not attend. As a large company you’d think they’d have some decency but no. Not interested in staying here

While the campground itself offered us everything we needed in terms of our campsite, it was a little pricey for the full hookup. It’s over 75km to Jasper from the campsite so if you plan to visit with a rented camper consider the mileage to be AT LEAST 150 extra km each day and that’s.not to mention adding the distances to Maligne lake or other popular spots.

I think the picnic tables could use some paint and new boards, the horse shoe pits were over grown and not useable, the Hanes room was closed and washrooms were not available during the week. It was extremely over priced for what you got.

Pit stop on the way to Jasper. Too bad the store closes at 6 PM. Many road weary folks needs are o ly apparent after they check in between 4:30 and 6.

Absolutely would recommend. The Hinton KOA is clean and quiet and the staff is friendly. My dog enjoys the K-9 dog park. I have already booked my return in 3 weeks.

The water at our site did not work. When I initially turned on the water, I got soaked. We had to run hose to an adjoining site. The picnic table had rotting boards on the top and desperately needed to be painted. At the prices charged I expect much better. The very next campground we stayed at a staff member brought us to our site and checked both water and power as we pulled in.

It worked great for an overnight. But it’s crowded, no privacy, just an open field. picnic tables are in dire need of repair.

Several campsites were combined groups having 15-30 people congregating contrary to COVID. Site 46 repeatedly had around 10-15 people with three vehicles parked on the grass. Staff did not survey the area during the dinner or later hours and no enforcement of group actions done during the day. The bathrooms were barely cleaned and heavily used. Water supply had heavy silt damaging trailer pipes.

Great stay. Spent a couple days hiking in the park. Was nice to come back to a clean, well run camp. People were very respectful of the quiet hours. All in all a fantastic stay.

The sites are all open as others have mentioned, so there is not much privacy. The gates close at 11 pm, which is a bit frustrating considering the town of Jasper is 45 minutes away and therefore if you're dining or hanging out in Jasper you have to rush back to make sure you make the gate it time otherwise your locked out. It would also be difficult for those wanting to take a day trip to Banff and have to return back to the campground in time. I understand making the campground safe by locking the gate, but perhaps closing the gate should occur a bit later maybe midnight? Only other complaint would be is we had to cancel the final night of our stay which was 3 days away, but we were not given any refund. We were aware of the 48 hour cancellation policy, but the policy means before arrival ONLY… despite if the date you're cancelling is more than 48 hours away… so that was a bit disappointing.

Loved our stay, however it was not the best. Had lots of trouble with the vending machines and washer and dryers taking our money and not working properly. Staff usually weren't around for us to bring up the concern because it always happened after hours. Other than that I would say the experience was great! It was quiet, and the spot that we had set up our camper in also had a concrete slab with its own picnic table which was really nice. For the most part we were out exploring so it was more less a place for us to set up. I would say it is slight over priced for what you get out of it.
