The internet was none usable and cell signal was so weak it was difficult to die simple this like checking email. If you stay at this camp ground you will need a wiboost in order to have any connection. Given the rate they charge, a general internet connect seems reasonable.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I guess you didn't see the cell tower on the property for AT@T, T-Mobile and Sprint which provides very strong reception. Verizon's tower is 8 miles north on I-25 and is weaker. We tell this to every guest at check in, but often the guest checking in doesn't tell their spouse in their rig.

I have stayed at numerous KOA locations and this is the bare minimum to qualify as a KOA campground. The sites are gravel and dirt, mostly dirt. The WiFi was mostly unavailable. As mentioned in other reviews, the access road is very rough. Site space was very small and unlevel.

We had a friendly check-in and a level site. Our water pressure was insufficient so we had to run off of tank water. The road into the KOA was very bumpy and the roads in the KOA were rutted and had washed out places. The campground was quiet and we had a beautiful view as well as a nice star gazing view.

Sorry about your issues here....The Kampground is less than a mile from the interstate exit. The bumpy portion is less than 1/2 mile in length and is the original Route 66.

Cute stop on our road trip. The hosts are wonderful. Perfect overnight. On our list to stay at for a few of the local National Parks next summer.

Very nice staff, loved the pancake breakfast. Quite close to the highway so there was road noise and the water pressure could be an issue as their system was gravity fed. Overall, though, nice place!

No service for Verizon and WiFi wouldn’t connect this Koa is a little old and tired looking for the $71 a night fee and plenty of road noise from I-25

Sorry about your hookup problems, however, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint cell towers are on the property adjacent to us. Rates and ocupancies are elevated during the 10-day Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, and as far as the Colorado Border town of Raton.

This is one of our favorite KOA’s from the moment you arrive the owner John and his staff make you feel so welcome. The facility is always clean and the bathrooms are cleaned often as well. If you stay here you must try the breakfast it is amazing.

We used this KOA while traveling through New Mexico. It was perfect for an overnight stop. The staff was friendly and the park was comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless, though very outdated.

Bad 30 amp service has sewed my RV for the past 2 days. Won’t be back!

It was a nice campground. A little noisy first night and water pressure somewhat low; but overall a good campground and the breakfast Saturday morning was excellent!!

Had to reroute our trip due to a road closure and this KOA found us a spot at the last minute for our truck camper in a tent site because all other sites were full. They were very friendly and our site was great and in a quiet place!

The KOA was clean, but I only had two problems. One was that the showers were too small. I’m 5’4 130lbs and the shower head was below the top of my head. The other problem was that while I was walking my dogs we had a dog run toward us off of the leash. The owner had both of them out just walking around without leashes. One of the two dogs was older and kept to itself, but not the other one.

The park is very rustic which we liked..campsights are scattered around..not just rows. Great view from our spot..unfortunately the stickers in the area were bad...it was hard to walk your dog without getting stickers..nice friendly people working the campground.

Thank you for your nice words....The stickers are manageable. We have finally been able to staff-up. The Park is 24 acres, and the stickers are in the lower portion covering a small portion of the front pasture. There's an upper, multi acre open space of several acres with none.

The staff is very friendly and the location is good for a stopover. But the spots are very tight and difficult to access with a 40’ fifth wheel.

We stay one night while traveling through the area. Likes: Friendly staff, Great breakfast under $7, Clean campground. Dis-likes: The road to the campground is very rough, No water pressure, Lanes to sites need better marking to avoid getting lost, Grounds are on the side of a mountain = very steep lanes.

We stayed extended stay for 13 weeks. The campground is very clean and large spots. Most spots have shrubbery to make it feel private. Did not get to try the pool as it was out of season. Our specific site was large enough to park 2 vehicles beside our camper. Staff are overly friendly and very helpful with all your needs. Wifi is the usual for campgrounds. There is no Verizon signal but AT&T and T Mobile full bat 5 G. Interstate noise is very minimal. Would definitely recommend.

Nice campground! Great location with trees at each site. Very clean restrooms/showers. Susan is the nicest person you'd ever want to meet and she makes a great breakfast if you don't want to cook your own. Easy reservation change when weather delayed our original arrival date and easy check-in after hours. Not our first time and won't be our last!!
