Awesome campground! Huge trees, nice size yards and the staff was so incredibly friendly and nice, we highly recommend this KOA.

Really appreciate how seriously this particular KOA is taking COVID-19. 30-min reservations for using the pool, 1 family at a time. Masks required indoors. Friendly, hospitable staff.

Right by a ran down Mobile home park, train, highway maintenance yard ( loud early morning heavy equipment), and neighbor saw fit to load a run his loud Harley bike at 630 am. Pool was FREEZING and they said it was heated- also full of hair and dead bugs and you could only swim in 30 min increments. Shaded trees were about the only plus and a lot of tv channels. WiFi was ok.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Pool was 80 degrees with an outside temp of 95. Quiet time is 10pm-6am. Mobile home park is well kept and full of retires who are nice.

Liked the staff and property itself. Didn’t like being right against a public road. Felt like my equipment could have been easily stolen when not sitting right there.

The owners/managers are fantastic. The place is clean and quiet. Although Miles City can get hot, they have enormous trees providing a lot of shade. I’d definitely recommend this KOA!

Easily accessible, quiet park with loads of shade trees. Great pull-thrus. Short walk to a lovely city park and historic downtown (with a liquor store!). Range Rider museum nearby (closed when we were there). Really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here both on our way to SD and back. We did not have a reservation either time. In fact we arrived quite late on our return home, yet the campground was still able to accomodate us. The gentleman who checked us in had retired for the evening but still came out in the dark to help us get all set up. Very nice family and great location!

Over night stay good but the A/C did not work in the cabin. Staff was friendly

Wonderful helpful staff

Great quiet place to stay. And not overpriced like some Joe's are charging. Shouldn't they all be the same price as most have the same services.

Wonderful welcome. The couple at intake were so gracious and helpful. Everything worked well. Nice spot, but a bit noisy right next to a busy road. Bathrooms and showers excellent condition. Would stay again.

Everything was fine but we had left half a bottle of wine on the table and went for a walk around the campground maybe 10 minutes. When we returned the bottle of wine was gone. Did not feel real save. Many cars went done to the dead end street and hung out.

Smaller koa but very nice. Large trees were nice. Had a nice level site, which was great. We stayed one night and didn’t have to lower the levelers and left the truck hooked up.

Hosts were very nice people.

Nice stop on a stretch of hiway without many options. Clean cabins, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, fair price. Those cabin mattresses could be thicker though...

Was a quick walk to the Yellowstone River, which was beautiful. The shower didn’t get hot so I had a refreshing cold shower in the morning, ended up waking me up nicely. I was tent camping and there was great social distancing between tents for the ongoing covid crisis.

Staff was very friendly and very attentive. K-9 park, play ground, pool everything you would need for over night or longer. Walking distance to restaurants and community activities. Big beautiful trees and good size rv spaces.

Great hosts and nicely kept campsite. Clean facilities. Lots of history to that location (Chief Two Moons)

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Great to meet you! Yes, we love this place!

We spent two nights in August and while the staff was very accommodating and friendly, the campsites and hook-ups weren't up to the KOA standards we have grown to expect. Additionally it is all dirt and gravel and the traffic kept us in a cloud of dust constantly while some loud four wheelers were ridden around the perimeter of the property. Should not have been allowed.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You stayed in the high desert, not Florida. Yes, things are dry in August and dusty. It is the west. Still, glad to have met you.

Great TV park. Everything is as it should be. Stay here.

The campsite is between the river, the railway and a trailer park in a run down area. The whole place was shabby and can use a deep clean.

It was a great stay! Quiet and peaceful!

The cabin mattress threw my husband's back out for a week, it was TERRIBLE, like a prison matt! The bathrooms were FILTHY, they claimed to clean after each use but I know this wasn't happening. I dropped the top of my deodorant after showering and forgot to throw it away...it was still there the next morning and it had the sign that it had been cleaned and sanitized for COVID....nope...gross.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry to hear this. You stayed two days ago, how could that throw your husbands back out for a week? Bathrooms were cleaned at 9pm and again at 8 am and each hour afterwards. Don't know what a prison mattress looks like, but ours is foam with rubber that is cleaned both sides after each stay. Maybe another campground?

The property could have used with a bit of a better location and some bug treatment. I spent the first 10 minutes of our allotted 30 minutes of pool time cleaning it.
Aug 04, 2020
Very friendly people. Nice site.
Aug 04, 2020
Well kept. Covid restrictions were very clear. Trees prevent satallite use but very good cable with tons of channels.
Aug 04, 2020
Location is great right by the river. Tent sites were nothing special and there was too much light shining on the tent sites so forget about stargazing.

We stopped for a quick over night stay, everyone was very nice and helpful, we had a great stay.
Aug 03, 2020
We enjoyed the beautiful cottonwood trees. Very quiet, and the pool was nice.

Very nice folks from TN own this KOA. They have worked hard to bring this place back after it had been neglected. We loved hearing about the history associated with this campground. Highly recommend staying for a short visit with this folks.
Aug 03, 2020
Well maintained campground. Friendly staff. Quiet - not much road noise. We had a very pleasant stay.
Aug 03, 2020
Only suggestion I could pass on is maybe a privacy fence or something to make some privacy along first street.

We travelled to this KOA just to escape home for the weekend. Overall, it was a nice stop. Our spot was level and clean. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. When you pull up and stop at the office, there is a small sign in the window to call a phone number. It is almost impossible to read the number from pickup. That needs to be bigger if they want you to call instead of coming inside.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon. Thank you for staying here!

We booked the day before as a one night stay while passing between Wyoming and North Dakota. We pulled in after hours and left early. I think we were there a total of 12 hours. Didn't unhook truck or use amenities. Staff on the phone were friendly. Nice shady park with trees. We had a great pull through spot on the end. If you're a light sleeper like me… the trains will keep you up all night. I posted a quick video of the park on YouTube: Wandered Off or check my IG @wanderingbrandi

Arrived Oct 9th for 1 night. 1st stay. Had previous reservation. Lady checked us in easy and friendly. We were guided to site 20 as we asked previously for a site suitable for NOT unhitching our 20ft trailer. They had an unexpected sewer backup that morning which was being fixed by contractor. Rail line in vicinity but no issues. Sites are good size but no shrubs etc between. Small store in office. Huge cottonwoods. Nice info sheet for local places of interest. Wifi and cable tv are great.
