I was visiting National Parks all summer staying IN the Parks tent camping. This was My 1st KOA for 1 night...life changing lol. Pool, A/C bathroom/shower room. HOT water, electricity . I didn’t want to leave. They were nice enough to let me stay 2 extra nights.

My dog and I were unable to use the bark park because it is in a wet area of the campground. The dog walk along the irrigation ditch is not a pleasant place to walk. The campsite itself was pleasant.

Staff was great! Loved the common areas such as the pool and the big tent with grills. Would have liked a wall up on the tent camping side between the koa grounds and the public so my gear was less exposed and there was more privacy. Also would appreciate a water proof shade above tent camping picnic tables to protect gear. But overall loved the location.

Staff friendly / convenient store reasonably priced for the area / Nice site on gravel with shade 3 1/2 miles from Bryce national Park gate/ situated across the street from BLM land with cattle present bringing lots of flies into the area, bring your fly strips for sure. / even with that, we would stay again

I think this review is the wrong park- we are hundreds of miles from Bryce National park and have no cattle nearby

The Black canyon of the Gunnison NP is one of the best kept secrets in the Rockies. The KOA was also outstanding!

The park was nice, however the beds in the camping cabin need replacement. The cushion is worn out and you feel as though you are sleeping directly on the wood. We had to go by air mattresses in order to sleep. The bathrooms are clean and new. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Central air did not work and the window unit not designed to cool down the whole cabin so it was warm in bedroom/loft. Lots of little things that need fixing. Front staff was nice and helpful.

generally nice park. One long term resident had a dog run full of poo. The "dog walk" area was half roped off and unwalkable. Overall good.

After the first place in Montrose we attempted to stay was very rude to us, It was a refreshing change to work with the great staff at KOA Montrose. I've never stayed at a KOA before and will definitely try to stay at these first in the future! Thanks!

This was our 1st KOA experience - we typically stay in state & national parks/forests and were not prepared for how close our site would be to other campers. Our site was located between 2 mini-cabins with other tent sites on the back side. We barely had room to set up our tent. Being so close to others, there was no privacy. However, the showers were clean & pool was a nice amenity for the kids.

The girl who helped me check in was not friendly and so cold. I believed it’s because of I had mask on (I am vaccinated). All other staff were nice and helpful. Campsite overall was nice, we had a good time.

Since we are from Missouri, I can't say I would recommend you to anyone, unless they were specifically going to Montrose, then I would.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The campground was well maintained and the people were very friendly. My only issue was the way the cable box is mounted below the electrical outlets it is impossible to plug a surge protector into the 30 amp outlet. I had to use my 50 amp dog bone then attach my surge protector then plug my motorhome cable to the surge protector.

The lodge was fabulous! We enjoyed an extended weekend in the touring the area of my youth. It was a nice central location to use as hub to the Black Canyon, Grand Mesa, and the Gunnison/ Crested Butte area. The lodge was very comfortable and nicely cool for an August weekend. We appreciated having to ability to cook not having to eat out every meal. Thank you for an all around GREAT exper!

The facilities were beautifully maintained, and we had a lovely time staying at this KOA. The pool and hot tub were a highlight for our family.

We had a blast!! We stayed in cabin #4. It was super clean. The camp ground was super quiet. Staff was friendly.

Staff were amazing! Great place to stay! The water pressure in the showers is super low. The dog park could use some attention too. However, I would recommend you stay here compared to other places in the area

Although this is a smaller KOA with fewer services than a larger one, we enjoyed more than most. The things important to us were superior. The sites were spacious and well maintained and heavily treed for shade, making it an attractive campground vs a parking lot feel. Nice pool, playground, very convenient to Black Canyon. Pleasant staff.

Great location. Crushed rocks at sites but grass between sites. Sites large and level. Bathrooms, laundry and showers very clean. Pool closed for winter. Would definitely come here again.
