Very nice camp ground. Very clean and updated bathrooms. Owner was very helpful.

We love this KOA but just a few things about the “lodge”. You need extra warm blankets for winter. The blankets there are summer blankets. A rug inside door would help alleviate mud from being tracked in - I spent time every day sweeping up and wiping mud from floors. The deadbolt lock doesn’t work. More gravel in parking area will help with mud. Otherwise a great experience.

We loved our stay in one of the comfortable cabins. All of the staff was wonderful. Hope to go back next year.

I don't like to say this, but the check-in was not very friendly. It also took a bit of time to find that employee that was to do the check-in. A visitor actually helped me - so much so that I thought he worked there.

We only stayed one night and were there to visit the Black Canyon NP. We arrived late in the afternoon and right away we were given a beautiful guide book on the canyon and the suggestion to see the park at sunset then go back during the day. Best suggestion ever! We loved Montrose, and the super clean KOA! The bathrooms were the best I've ever seen. Super convenient, clean, quiet, relaxing.

Great KOA site, staff were friendly and the area was clean. The cabin we stayed in will need a new window AC unit, the one we had barely worked but aside from that it was great!

Deluxe cabin - better than hotel room but glad we didn't pay full rate. The Good: located at entrance of campground, full-size kitchen appliances, plenty of storage and outlets, pool and hot tub were still open. The Not so Good: Window A/C not sufficient to cool whole cabin, ceiling lights in bedroom didn't work, dirty oven, no staff available to refill propane tank for grill, spotty WiFi.

Rented a Cabin for an overnight stay. Really nice, very quite and well kept campgrounds. Check in was fast and easy, Mary and her husband were awesome. Thanks for a great stay.

Sites are tiny. No privacy. Our cabin site faced the storage unit. A foot away was the public bathroom, on the other side was a pitiful gravel only rv site that at first glance we thought was our parking space. A road no fence is the only thing that separated us from what was a potential meth house. Couldn’t get out of there fast. Frt desk friendly, some nice touches. Felt like a trl park

Stayed at the lodge. Neg: Surfaces were dusty, floors were extremely dirty. Knives were dull. No coffee filters, no complimentary shampoo/body wash. Glass table on the deck was covered with a thick layer of some kind of residue with a joint butt. Pos: Bathtub was clean, no mold. Clean sheets. Close to Black Canyon. Pool & hot tub.

Love the campground. Wish they had a heated pool. When I reserved the place we wanted to stay I specifically asked for the mobile home that was at the rear of the property. Upon arrival they had us in the Park Model called The Lodge. I had my brother, brother in law and a friend with Parkinson's. We were going to take him in the mountains for possibly the last time. The cabin was to small.

The park was nice, however the beds in the camping cabin need replacement. The cushion is worn out and you feel as though you are sleeping directly on the wood. We had to go by air mattresses in order to sleep. The bathrooms are clean and new. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Central air did not work and the window unit not designed to cool down the whole cabin so it was warm in bedroom/loft. Lots of little things that need fixing. Front staff was nice and helpful.

After the first place in Montrose we attempted to stay was very rude to us, It was a refreshing change to work with the great staff at KOA Montrose. I've never stayed at a KOA before and will definitely try to stay at these first in the future! Thanks!

The lodge was fabulous! We enjoyed an extended weekend in the touring the area of my youth. It was a nice central location to use as hub to the Black Canyon, Grand Mesa, and the Gunnison/ Crested Butte area. The lodge was very comfortable and nicely cool for an August weekend. We appreciated having to ability to cook not having to eat out every meal. Thank you for an all around GREAT exper!

Everything was mostly good -- the power went off on Sunday morning and the office was closed, so we couldn't report it until it opened, so we got ready in the dark. The cabin was nice and comfortable. I might do a recliner instead of a regular chair and add salt and pepper to the kitchen; otherwise, we had everything we needed.

The campground was great! We had cabin #1 and it could of been better. Being that close to the laundry made you almost sick smelling laundry soap and dryer sheets all night. Being that close to the restrooms was good in one way but awful in another. One last thing was that awful air conditioner. Besides being a scary eyesore, it's way to big for little cabin. Move that cabin where the others are.

Friendly staff, reasonable rates. Had to leave early due to family medical emergency. Staff was accommodating! Great KOA to stay if you need a place to sleep on your travels.

Great location. Crushed rocks at sites but grass between sites. Sites large and level. Bathrooms, laundry and showers very clean. Pool closed for winter. Would definitely come here again.
