Very clean bathroom/shower room, safe, nice relaxing outdoor pavilion, Pool was nice, and friendly staff. Close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison N. P. We really enjoyed our time staying at the KOA in Montrose. I would stay again!

First and foremost, thank you a TRILLION to the lady who checked us in even though we were doing an late check-in. You were amazing and really made us not stress about our arrival / stay there. The restrooms were very clean and the campsite was very comforting.

We had a pleasant stay. I’m actually for much for Camping but this camp ground made me think I could for sure do it again. It was clean and the bathrooms actually were well taken care of!

Firstly, I would like to say that the bathrooms at this KOA are VERY CLEAN and I had no reservations about showering. Normally I am wary of campground showers. This campground is very dusty due to the campground roads and a huge vacant lot that is all dirt. Furthermore, there were so many Trump flags here that I can’t imagine immigrants or other minority communities would feel comfortable here.

Our campsite was missing an awning, the wifi was very poor (the only reason we chose the KOA), and our campsite was right next to the playground. I get that this is a family-oriented facility, but this seemed like poor planning.The tent campsites were all practically on top of each other. I had low expectations coming in, but this all confirmed that I have no intention to book with KOA again.

Nice little campground, my only real complaint would be the "hot" tub. My husband and I came out for our anniversary and we were really looking forward to time in the hot tub. Unfortunately, it was barely lukewarm and the jets did not work. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

The grounds are immaculate and the bathrooms very modern and clean. We are tent campers and lucked out with a Deluxe tent campsite between 2 cabins.The cutest style fireplace, artificial grass on the tent pad, electricity, no grill. Another grassy tent site with electricity between 2 buildings. The remaining tentsites are lined up next to each other with a partition, some with a tarp as shade.

First the good: The grounds and facilities were immaculate. The RV sites looked nice with lawn and shade trees. Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Now the bad: NO COVID PRECAUTIONS!! There were 5 or 6 staff members in the office when I checked in and nobody was wearing a face mask. No distancing measures in place in the restrooms or elsewhere. Tent sites, like we had, were terrible.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Everything was clean and in great shape. It was awesome to have a dog park for our pups. The pool looked great- we were bummed we forgot our suits. They had a lot of lawn games available. Unfortunately we got blasted by sprinklers almost all night long and into the morning. That was a bummer and made the stay not as nice.

If you are staying in an RV this would be a nice place to stay, but we were in a tent. The tent sites were the worst that I have ever seen. The first site we were given were practically part of the playground. The second site was next to what looked like a junk yard. No shade, picnic table was three feet from the next site. There was no water nearby. Very friendly staff!

There were only 6 tent sites - directly in line of outdoor lighting from a nearby building. Things at this KOA are cramped together and it is not a great location for a campground. Also, nobody seemed to care about social distancing -- it wasn't enforced and there were no signs about it anywhere in the campground. I felt like I was dodging people all weekend. Not tent friendly.

Staff was friendly but if your are in a tent it’s terrible. You don’t feel like your in the KOA the sites are small and feel like an after thought with no shade. Also no observance of Colorado Covid procedures no one with a mask on staff to be found

Tent sites next to gravel parking. Difficult for motorcycles. VERY clean bathroom! VERY friendly staff! Price acceptable, but not cheap for a tent site. I will return.

There are a million sites in and around Montrose, one is even on black canyon, I would recommend those over tent camping at this KOA.

Separation of campsite could have been increased from the next camper since all tent sites were open ( ie. T 6 would have been better then T4 ) otherwise a very nice experience

Nice value. Comfortable. Relatively quiet for the amount of people that were there, especially once nighttime set in. Convenient to the National Park which was the purpose of my visit.

tent site, worked well for us. Other campgrounds we have stayed at had a separator between tent sites which was good to keep out wind, but no problems here.

I did not like the placement of the tent sites, It seamed like I was "outside " of the property In the parking lot .

This is from a tent camping perspective, not an RV. The tent sites were actually okay (flat, accessible) but the location was terrible. It feels they were an after thought and put on the outside of the campground exposed to the public.

I didn’t stay for the two nights I reserved. When I tried to call inform them, the line was closed. In addition, I was charged BOTH the deposit and the second night, despite not ever checking-in. Thus, what is the point of a deposit, if you’re going to charge the full amount anyway. It’s misleading at best.

Tent sites were behind the fence, which didn't feel secure. Pool, hot tub and bathrooms were nice.

Clean site, super nice employees. However, the tent sites are very small and right on top of each other. They are also right next to the playground, pool, and a barbecue and seating area. There are “quiet hours” but these were not followed. Loud adults drinking and yelling until midnight, and kids on the playground at 6 am. I would not stay here again

we stayed on a tent site. the tent sites are too close together, our guy lines had to be staked on the next tent site, and they are adjacent to a driveway for the property next door, so that our cars were parked off the KOA and on the neighboring property's driveway. ( a derelict building on a junk strewn lot, with a shared gravel driveway)

Really enjoyed our stay here. Will be staying here again in the future when we are in the Montrose area.

Great location. Crushed rocks at sites but grass between sites. Sites large and level. Bathrooms, laundry and showers very clean. Pool closed for winter. Would definitely come here again.
