Absolutely great staff, very friendly, helpful, and the property is gorgeous. We have a 35 foot fifth wheel, our site overlooked the river. Very peaceful, quiet and restful. We highly recommend this place.

Beauiful setting, great location, peaceful. Friendly staff. Everything was great. I wish bathroom and shower area were a little warmer, but we had some cold nights.

This KOA is in such a beautiful and peaceful spot. Our cabin was right on the river with such peaceful views and sounds. We’ve been twice before and are already planning a trip for later in the year.

We have been staying at Peace Valley for years because we love the campground and Mat! It never ceases to amaze us; Mat continually finds ways to improve the campground even though we can't imagine it getting any better. We haven't stayed at a lot of KOA's, but I can't imagine finding one where the owner is more committed to excellence!

One of the nicest KOA’s we’ve stayed in. The camp Hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. We plan to come back here, for sure!�

The campground was wonderful. Clean and beautiful location. The staff was great as well. The problem here is that across the River is private homes. They had a fire on Sat night and were loud, drunk and obnoxious. Not KOA’s fault at all. Just a bad situation for anyone camping along the Beautiful river.

We had a wonderful stay! First time at a KOA. Host were informative and kind! We had a beautiful spot right on the river. They came by each day and collected trash and made sure we were doing ok. Plenty of ice and firewood available for purchase. Extra clean bathrooms and laundry area. Definitely will be coming back! Hostess were incredible! Thank you so much!!

Peace Valley is a great place to stay. We enjoyed the scenery and the quiet—great places to eat all around the camping area. We will defiantly be back at this KOA if we are in the area. I Highley recommend a peaceful stay. The staff is delightful and friendly. This is by far our #1 favorite.

Matt and Kat were awesome! They always greet me by name and always thank me for staying with them. You don't see that in very many places anymore. The camp was very clean and when the hot water went out in the bathhouses Matt was on it very quickly and had it repaired in no time. The camp has become more beautiful every time we stay there. Can't wait to go back this summer.

we felt like the most important camper at the campground. We had firewood delivered and they even thought to bring a lighter stick. we asked to change cabins because another was closer to the water. It was no problem at all, We felt so special and pampered during our stay. A very pleasant experience!

One of the best kept campgrounds we’ve ever stayed in. Friendly, hard-working staff are constantly doing something to make improvements & needed repairs immediately. This time, instead of our camper, we rented one of the cabins right on the river. What a treat it was, and the bed was so comfortable. We’ll be back again with our camper the next time as we have twice before. Can hardly wait~

Awesome campground! Super friendly and helpful staff made our first ever RV camping experience very enjoyable. The location was convenient for all our excursions and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. We especially liked the peaceful river that wandered past the campground. We will definitely be returning.

Very happy return campers. We have been here many times before and just love it. It is peaceful and quiet. No pun on the name. Peace valley is what it is. Spot on clean and grounds impeccably kept. As always. Can not wait to set another date to camp here.

Well maintained facility. It was apparent operators were attentive in keeping property up. Great location on a lively Hiwassee River tributary. Too early on the season to enjoy the pool, but we would not rule out another visit in the future.

This is our 2nd time staying here, we will definitely be back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the cabins next to the creek, very peaceful. We enjoyed the fire pit and the dog run and the comfortable little cabin. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

I regret to leave a review such as this about any KOA, we have been loyal KOA campers since 2007, 15 years of pleasure and this is the first time we have been disappointed. We stayed in a cabin on property. The cabin is outdated, fluorescent light in the ceiling covered partially with plywood, several safety issues (railings), porch screen in disrepair, rodent balm on floor in closet in bedroom.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We apologize. It was a tough winter and we hadn't yet completed our regularly scheduled maintenance projects. All items have been repaired and issues resolved. We're happy to report success in our pest control methods and our local native creatures have taken up residence elsewhere along our river.

My family and I are KOA work campers who are on vacation so of course we stayed at only KOA Kampgrounds because we are used to excellent services. We did not get that here instead we got broken bath house lights dryers that don’t dry and office staff that nickel and dime you for having kids and a second vehicle cost over $80 when they already knew how many kids we have. I won’t recommend this

There is not a better campground. It is so well maintained and such a beautiful location. The running river makes the days and nights sound heavenly. We staying in our favorite cabin and as always it was clean, well stocked and just a comfortable cabin. Everyone should try KOA North Carolina at least once.

Winter camping is typically allot of work! Firewood for those who brave the colder temperatures outside, assured supply of propane for heating and the assurance that there are knowledgeable camp staff available to provide services and information is very comforting. I have stayed here multiple time over the past two years and Matt and his staff are at the top of their game! Great place!

We have been coming here for a few years. Matt the owner truly cares about his campground and it's evident in the amenities and the changes he makes from one visit to the next. Well the setting and ambiance are breathtaking and I can truly come here to relax and decompress.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. We had a spot right on the river which was absolutely gorgeous. Matt & Jenni were wonderful hosts and super friendly. Matt was constantly working picking up garbage, delivering propane tanks and firewood and taking care of the grounds. Campground is well taken care of; clean and beautiful. One of the best things about this campground to us was that their doggie area was over an acre of land. Most campgrounds either have a tiny little run or nothing at all. This was a huge fenced in piece of land where our dogs could run off leash and play. We stayed there during Thanksgiving. Matt & Jenni hosted Thanksgiving dinner for all the campers staying there during the holiday. They provided the turkeys, stuffing, gravy, sweet tea and paper products. Everyone who attended brought a dish to share. I made sweet potato casserole. It was such a wonderful time and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Great folks running the place. Patience, seemed to be their awesomeness! Pretty nice to great campsites. Nice set ups for power, water and cable. Looking forward to a trip back there.
