People were very friendly. It was out of the way from Gatlinburg and pigeon forge by about 45 minutes. The WiFi didn’t work at our cabin and the phone connection was horrible. That’s not the KOAs fault though. It was nice that there wasn’t a ton of traffic to fight to get there. The cabin was very clean also.

Oh I just love this KOA location. The management and employees are very helpful and awesome. I would recommend this KOA to anyone wanting to go camping . My cabin was very clean and decorated beautifully.

This KOA was not as nice/upkeep as other KOA's. Apparently the campground had just been sold and the new owner didn't quite have it together. The staff were all very friendly but we found the campground/pool/bathrooms in general to be dirty. Hopefully the new owner will make some changes and updates.

I wish the Kabin had an extra outlet, specifically in the bunk bed area. Shower could us more cleaning.

This is a great campground and very kid friendly. The general store has just about all you would need if you forgot something. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. It was a perfect one nigh getaway. My only recommendations to the park owners would be to upgrade the shower stalls, at least in the men’s restroom. Overall great place.

The cabin was clean and so were the bathrooms. However, we stayed in a two-room cabin but since there was only a/c in one room we had to keep the door open in order to keep our room somewhat bearable. Defeats having a two-room cabin.

Overall our stay was great, the staff were very nice and helpful. The only reason I scored a little lower is the bathrooms were kinda gross and looked like they needed attention. There was a paper in one of the showers that I noticed sat there for over a day which tells me that the shower was not cleaned. Maybe they are being affected by the current staffing situation others are facing but still.

Late Check-in was simple. Cabin was as expected and we enjoyed the front porch swing as well as a campfire. It was our first experience at this KOA and it was great. Highly recommend.

You could smell the septic system outside of the cabin we rented there was no pillows or blankets we traveled there on a motorcycle

Loved the cabin with half bath. Perfect option for us. Campground clean. Checking in very easy. Location perfect for area activities. Hosts very helpful, friendly, and accommodating.

I have never been or stayed at KOA before. The campsites and cabins were very clean. I would recommend the smoky mountain KOA and I would stay there again.

I love this little campground. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only drawback for me was day passes for the pool for locals. I know campgrounds do this and I understand trying to add revenue but it did cause over crowding. For some reason day pass folks tend to be a little less respectful. Nothing that will keep me away. I think the campground is in transition so looking forward to changes ahead.

Beautiful area! It was nice having the half bath in the cabin (no midnight walks to use the restroom)! The restroom/showers were being repainted, but it didn't cause an issue in using the facilities. It was a nice touch with the offering of free firewood! Thank you!

I was disappointed. When I got there at 2 pm I was told that the cabin was not cleaned. They called the person that cleans and said it would be a while. To my surprise they only took 5-10 minutes. The cabin was not cleaned very good and my son and I decided to leave after about 4 hours. We were not happy with the condition of the cabin. We won't get a cabin again.

Love our stay, we stayed in a cabin and it rained so hard and the sound on the tin roof was awesome, loved having half bath.

Beautiful campground. Clean, nice restrooms and showers. We were a bit concerned that the cabin was not cleaned between guests as a folding camp chair was left inside the cabin and a bundle of wood was left on the porch when we arrived. So we sanitized everything inside. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

Was not clean. No water in the cabin that had a bathroom. The "bathroom" was a toilet with a blanket hung up.

A shower was out of order and the large laundry room sink was out of order. Bathrooms constantly smelled like cigarette smoke as did the office/store. Cigarette butts were also littered throughout. Water wasn’t available. The spigots where wrapped up in some sort of frost proof blanket that were heavily taped. WIFI wasn’t good. The cabin was nice and quaint. Pricing was so so.

The staff at front desk was rude. The cabin had no tv, mini fridge, nothing. I stayed at pigeon forge holiday and it was great.

The cabins were very clean. Courtesy stack of firewood was waiting for us. Staff was exceptional in their professionalism and kindness. Bath houses were also kept very clean. We felt safe despite the pandemic.

We absolutely love this KOA! We have stayed here many times and have always had a wonderful experience. Our cabin was super clean and we could tell that it had been disinfected thoroughly. We felt very safe and know that the Newport KOA is doing everything to protect us during this covid-19 pandemic! We will be planning another visit soon and would recommend the Newport KOA very highly!

We came in late and they left the porch light on, the cabin was heated and had a bundle of firewood for us but didn't use. Very thoughtful!!! Thank you!!! The staff were all friendly saying good morning when we checked out in the morning!!!

Stayed there for a couple days. It was nice enough. There was no wifi at all and was told there hasn't been any for months. Basically false advertising at this point if it's been months without it. People are nice and they seem to be trying to renovate the park or something. Otherwise it's pretty quiet other than the high way, but that can be easily ignored if that doesn't bother you. Oh and those cabins are very cute. Didn't stay in one, but they look nice from the outside, especially with the Christmas lights. The lights should stay up all year, would be cute.
