The campground is nice but the dirt roads are horrid. Dust never stops. BEWARE OF ROW A SITE#1. Campers checking in stop right next to table and leave their vehicle running so you can breathe their exhaust. If the cars are not speeding by its the employees stirring up the dust! They advertise go karts, NO go karts for years!! Could not wait to get out of that site!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. On the down side the park is all dirt and very dusty. They have marked off the campsites with large rocks making the roads and sites very narrow and hard to get around in a large motorhome.

Love this campground. A good place to set up base camp and set out for daily outings to Colorado Springs, Salida, and Royal Gorge. The bathroom/shower room could be updated a little bit.

We had a great stay! The campground staff were very nice and helpful. The pool provided a nice place to beat the heat in the hot sun and we enjoyed Canon City the surrounding areas as well. We would definitely stay there again if we are back I the area!

Re-traveled all over Colorado. This was by far our favorite KOA that we went to. They had a long hiking trail with beautiful views and cacti everywhere. Lots of things for the kids to do. Volleyball, slide, great playground with a merry go round, pool an awesome gift shop. The bathrooms were immaculately clean, hot showers available, And a laundry room. Definitely recommend

Everyone was very helpful. The site had plenty of supplies and food for our stay. Next time we can pack liter as the prices were reasonable for basic camp supplies, no price gouging here.

It rained so the mini golf had to be cleaned again. Lots of little bugs everywhere, you can't do anything about nature. I liked the nature trail, I must have missed that for all these years. Hand dryer in the Men's room still not working. Paper towels is not a solution. Bugs in the pool always.

CRAMMED into a spot way too small surrounded by large boulders to trip over every time we walked out the door, on a hill of gravel with a tree and fire pit (non moveable) in the middle. Website says go carts-NO go carts. NO assistance parking in the terrible spot. Run by mostly teenagers who couldn't care less to help. Oh....but the spots up front look great to get you in the door. 2nd & last stay

Things are a little crowded and parking is not convenient at all once you park your trailer. Overall it’s a nice place.

Brookfield CT Troop 5 stayed @ Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA for a few days prior to our Philmont Trek to help us acclimate to the elevation. We had a great time visiting local sites and the KOA was the perfect location to launch our daily trips from. Red Rocks, Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods and Royal Gorge Whitewater Rafting were the highlights of the pre-Philmont Trip.

Two nights allowed for seeing the Royal Gorge. Pool and mini-golf were enjoyed by the grand children and this was a restful place as we prepared to head home. The Laundry was good and convenient as was the shower house, clean and close by. The staff was friendly.

Trees were very overgrown to fit campers in the spot. Dryers didn’t work. Canceled slide for the lids due to inclement weather & there was no inclement weather! Owner was very nice but, staff unprofessional.

The app advertising privacy for each tent site also mentions nightly activities and smores. None of this was the case, staff was also not friendly. There was a loud party going on late into one of the nights. We tried contacting the emergency number with no response. The slide, mini golf and playground are in really bad shape and dangerous. On the plus side The bathrooms were clean.

We enjoyed the new sites at this KOA. The concrete patio was super helpful during the afternoon rain storms. The sites looked very nice with the sail shading and bright red Adirondack chairs next to the fire pits. The gravel sites were nice as well. Just be careful of the uneven gravel around the sites - and the many large rocks defining the site. Staff were awesome! Close to many activities!

In a great location yet set back from the road so no street noise! Many trees so shady spots abound. We rented a cabin which was clean and everything was in good shape. Bathrooms were clean. Staff very friendly and helpful! Couldn’t find the recycle bins??

Site says 90 foot spots .. they don't have any that long Washers didn't work No hot water in showers Had fun things for kids to do Slide was fun Pool was good Not big rig friendly was our biggest complaint because they told us we'd have a 90-foot pull thru site

We stayed in a deluxe cabin…which was a complete joke. The stairs are illegal, the deck is falling apart. The water for sink and shower was a trickle. My husband fixed blinds so we could open them up. The pool was disgusting. Floating bugs, we were covered in grime after getting out. There was mud all over the pool area. Shoes were caked. We paid way too much for something that was sub par.

Enjoyed the stay greatly. Betty was a huge help and very friendly. She made our groups stay there a great experience, and went far beyond her duties to make us feel welcome. I would recommend the Canon city colorado KOA to everyone

No go carts as advertised. The campground in general felt like it was a lacking some investment in the infrastructure over the past 15 years. Still a great place to stay for families.

It is a great koa with all kinds of activities for kids and families. We booked a tent site, RV site, and a cabin. They were all close together. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities are well kept. I highly recommend!

First KOA camp for me. I Paid for all the mediocre amenities when all I wanted was seclusion and space. To crowded. I will probably never stay at another KOA. State parks are my cup of tea. With that said, this park was very clean and maintained.
