Tent camped for 3 nights here and it was a good experience. Tent sites were private but close-ish to the facilities. Fire pits are very small, it was hard to cook a meal on them. Staff was very receptive and kind. Laundry was functional, mini golf was fun, and location is great. Biggest issue was cleanliness of the bathrooms, which weren't cleaned while we were there. Dirty sinks and paper left.

Staff was pleasant and nice. Bathrooms were clean. My only negative experience was with the campsite itself. I rented a tent site with electric for one night. After setting up my tent I noticed the electrical outlet was ~35-40 feet away. I could’ve moved my tent closer, but then my tent would’ve been right next to the septic tank. I reluctantly bought another 25ft extension cord to reach my te

Very professional and friendly staff they went out of their way to help us. I'm a disabled veteran and have some limitations and they were more than happy to help me and my wife. I highly recommend them. The site was very clean and well maintained A+ they went above and beyond the call of duty as we say in the Army. Keep up the good work.

Friendly staff, clean restrooms,overall. I have one issue…the restroom water spigots for the sinks are ridiculous. You literally have to hold the spigot open to get ANY water flow. I understand the need to conserve water but this this is extremely unsanitary -you are forced to hold a contaminated spigot to rinse, allowing recontamination of your hands . This absolutely ineffective and disgusting

Great place to stay. The staff is friendly. Bathrooms and showers and clean and sanitary. Will definitely stay again.

the campsite was nice but tables aren't taken care of following apart mini golf was drily with sticks the shower was cold the pool wasn't taken care of bugs and cold as ice

It was very nice. The bathrooms were clean. They let you know through text all activities that were going on over the weekend. They had hay rides, ice cream socials, beer and wine tasting, pancakes and sausage breakfast one day.

great fun! made awesome friends. tent site was flat and comfortable, could have more shade. but folks can go to northern MN. for shade. we enjoyed our stay

The staff was very friendly. The mens bathroom was in terrible shape and needs work to bring it up to Koa standards.

Really only camped at your KOA as a place to sleep. We're traveling with our Boy Scout troop to various activities in the area. Didn't have much time to use your facilities. However, the boys did enjoy the pool for a bit and your bathhouse was nice and clean. I liked the flip down bench in the showers.

Good location, friendly folks. I’m bicycle touring and there was no water or electricity at the tent sites ( water and electric by office). My site had a picnic table that had almost all the paint peeled off. The bench part that was in the shade was missing half the board. So a bit neglected in that sense. Showers nice and clean. Otherwise pleasant.

Overall a good experience. Nice location, friendly, helpful staff. Wifi not good, spotty or non existent at campsite. We had to sit by the office away from our site to access wifi. Men's room out of paper towels and toilet paper at times, women's room shower curtains had mold at the bottom. Great location and activities at this KOA. We would revisit.

The maintenance at the site was very poor. The service was very poor, we were at the site, that didn't have any tables, nor any shade. We had to make the table arrangements ourselves.

Tent area tables need some repairs and updating. Women's bathroom ran out of toilet paper on Saturday and on Sunday morning. Kids say good playground, ok pool.

Love this campground. A good place to set up base camp and set out for daily outings to Colorado Springs, Salida, and Royal Gorge. The bathroom/shower room could be updated a little bit.

It rained so the mini golf had to be cleaned again. Lots of little bugs everywhere, you can't do anything about nature. I liked the nature trail, I must have missed that for all these years. Hand dryer in the Men's room still not working. Paper towels is not a solution. Bugs in the pool always.

The app advertising privacy for each tent site also mentions nightly activities and smores. None of this was the case, staff was also not friendly. There was a loud party going on late into one of the nights. We tried contacting the emergency number with no response. The slide, mini golf and playground are in really bad shape and dangerous. On the plus side The bathrooms were clean.

Enjoyed the stay greatly. Betty was a huge help and very friendly. She made our groups stay there a great experience, and went far beyond her duties to make us feel welcome. I would recommend the Canon city colorado KOA to everyone

strong sewer smell, dogs barking & running loose, dog poop all over, way to close to other campers (heavy cigarette smoke) little girls in men's restroom w/o parent. Complained & told: "If you don't tell us, we can't fix it." No security observed, staff apathetic. Left early (paid for it!) to get away from smells & bad experience. Never coming again & warning friends.

Staff was exceptional. Always smiling and friendly. First time camping with my kiddos and couldn’t have asked for a better experience all around. Quite at night and the view was spectacular. Definitely worth the visit!!!

Was very nice however the whole place seemed quite run down and could definitely use some updating. The store did not have much to offer and was quite barren in some areas. The bathrooms were so nice and beautiful I just wish the rest of the grounds matched

Three nights four days Tent Site and Camper Van. Everything went well, apart from the arrival night rain storm. Flooding and High Winds it was a very good stay. The pool was an added pleasure with the 90 + Heat. The Mini-Golf was flooded the next three days. The Go- Karts were not there anymore. We actually came for that reason, to ride the Go-Karts. We go to KOA Royal Gorge for years.

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA Holiday. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the local attractions. The restrooms and showers were clean and maintained throughout the day. The campground was well maintained and had plenty to offer for all ages. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Everything was great except for the first night when someone forgot too turn off the movie of the movie theater it was blazing till 3 am till we figured it out and turned it off our selves. And the bathrooms we're to far away from the tent sight's but the rest was good

I would be giving RG KOA A 5 star except the wifi was problematic most of our ten day stay. Luckily We had mobile hotspot.

We had an amazing view of the mountains all around. The area is very cleaned and well taken care of. The staff was amazing and answered all questions we had!! Will definitely be back.
