Amazing location to the Royal Gorge. The cabin we stayed in was awesome. They have all of the amenities that anybody could want in a campground. Although… The 1st morning I went to the restroom, it was filthy. There was no paper towels to dry your hands, no toilet paper, and 2 of the 4 toilets were backed up. And the showers were nasty. But, that evening, and next mornin EVERYTHING was corrected

tent windows left open ... water was on floor by open windows when we entered the tent. 2 bathroom stalls did not have toilet paper which made for emergency run to nearby gas station to go to the bathroom. Glamour tent was great except for water on floor, views were great also. If back in area would probably not try again. Staff that called me was very nice and helpful.

The location, accomodations and amenities are just great. We had a wonderful stay, and we especially appreciated the helpful staff. The one suggestion we have would be to clean the pool/check the chemical levels as it was very cloudy. Otherwise, everything was just stellar! Thank you!

We stayed in a cabin with bathroom. It was perfect for what we needed. The grounds need some TLC. The miniature golf course is a bit worn, but quite fun and challenging. The pool was fun as well. We'll definitely use this option in lieu of a hotel again.

I believe it was understaffed during this stay, likely due to our current health climate with covid-19. Despite that, anything we needed was met with friendly assistance and patience. There are some things with the cabin itself that would make it nicer such as weathering around the cooler (insulation in the open gaps, etc), maybe a shelf or 2 and a screen door. But it was clean and comfy!

Beautiful place! Great activities! Our only complaint was that the Hot water heater didn't work in our Bathtub/Shower. It worked in the kitchen sink but not the shower. Cold showers for Kids especially was not fun!

My first time renting a deluxe cabin with its own bathroom with shower. A separate room with bunk beds. And a very comfortable queen size bed with awesome pillows! Also a million-dollar view looking out towards Royal gorge from the front porch! Beautifully landscaped. Clean. Comfy. Cozy. A very good experience!

Everyone was very helpful. The site had plenty of supplies and food for our stay. Next time we can pack liter as the prices were reasonable for basic camp supplies, no price gouging here.

Brookfield CT Troop 5 stayed @ Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA for a few days prior to our Philmont Trek to help us acclimate to the elevation. We had a great time visiting local sites and the KOA was the perfect location to launch our daily trips from. Red Rocks, Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods and Royal Gorge Whitewater Rafting were the highlights of the pre-Philmont Trip.

In a great location yet set back from the road so no street noise! Many trees so shady spots abound. We rented a cabin which was clean and everything was in good shape. Bathrooms were clean. Staff very friendly and helpful! Couldn’t find the recycle bins??

We stayed in a deluxe cabin…which was a complete joke. The stairs are illegal, the deck is falling apart. The water for sink and shower was a trickle. My husband fixed blinds so we could open them up. The pool was disgusting. Floating bugs, we were covered in grime after getting out. There was mud all over the pool area. Shoes were caked. We paid way too much for something that was sub par.

Members of our family also rented cabins K59, K60, and K61. The air conditioners in those cabins malfunctioned causing our family members great distress. Sleeping was difficult it was so hot inside the cabins. Management efforts to fix the problems were unsuccessful. This is why you are getting a low rating.

Always feel at home at a koa. Cabins were clean. Window AC very nice in July. Friendly and attentive staff. The pool was so clean. We could see the Royal Gorge Bridge in the distance from our site. I would go here again.

Our stay was definitely not what we expected. The tent we reserved was rained out & we were put in a cabin, AC in the cabin didn't work for longer than a few minutes at a time. We had a peeping tom at 1am looking in the open bunkroom window with a flashlight where my wife & baby were sleeping, it was the next door cabins teenage son who was weirdly obsessed with our baby. We won't be back.

We brought a young adult group from Texas to stay at Canon City Colorado KOA. We loved it! The restrooms were newly remodeled and there were plenty of showers and restroom stalls. The swimming pool was clean and inviting too! The staff was kind. The little cabins we stayed in were clean and the air conditioners were great! We loved it and will bring groups back to this location in the future!

The area is beautiful and sites are very well kept. I've never stayed at a KOA with so much to do like this and it was like a mini resort. This is further enhanced by all of the activities the staff run through the week. I was constantly getting notified of movie nights, bracelet making, smores nights and more. The staff here is dedicated to giving everyone a wonderful experience; I thank them all

Didn't get the cabin we had thought we booked. It was smaller than I had planned for. Wifi system was spotty. Need to revamp putt putt area but the kids really enjoyed the slide. Staff needs to communicate better with each other.

We stayed in a cabin. We were told to bring our own linen. The coverings that covered the foam pads were incredibly filthy. The whole place was filthy. It was disgusting. We asked to have the foam pads removed and some disinfecting spray. It took a couple hours to have the covering removed and to bring us some spray. Then the coverings removed sat all night on the deck outside. Disgusting.

We loved it. Our cabin was perfect, so many activities to do. We really enjoyed how peaceful it was, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be staying again.
