Friendly staff. Showed us to our site. Amenities were good.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to complete your guest survey. We do try to escort all of our guests to their sites.

Was a wonderful stay. Would've liked to have had a firepit at our campsite but we survived. Pool was clean and cold for our lovely 90-100 degree days... Everything was super clean and immaculate. Getting ready for a wedding at a campground is a bit nerve-wracking but this place was amazing. Thank you!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are so glad that you had a wonderful & successful stay with us. Our pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. While we don;t yet have firepits at each site, we do have a community firepit located near the pool area.

It was OK for an overnight stay. The sites are very close together. Our neighbor was out at 3:00 a.m. slamming doors on truck and camper and the tent area across the road had 4 motorcycles that roared through the site until after 11. It was clean and staff was friendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

KOA Journeys are designed for overnight stays. Although we do have many guests that choose to stay longer. We do ask our guests to respect our quiet hours of 10pm-7am as stated in our brochure which each guest receives upon checking in.

Stayed 2 nights and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. the view from part of the campground for the big campers was beautiful.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. It is good to hear that are staff took good care of you. We do have beautiful views (and sunsets) from the park.
Sep 07, 2020
The stay was okay. No better or worse than any other KOA campground. That's why I don't understand the $96/night charge. Over double what we paid at 3 other KOAs on our trip. And the store was very poorly stocked.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are a KOA Journey which is meant to provide easy on/off access to I-90. We have beautiful mature trees and have the Big Goose Creek running through here. Not sure what your expectations were for the campground in comparison to other KOAs. You stayed 2 nights and paid $48.40 a night.
Sep 07, 2020
Had to back in the pull through. Not happy. Spaces really tight & gravel pads. Bathrooms & showers ok but some were out of service.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do have gravel pads to avoid mud due to the snow & rain that we get here. It is true that we have closed a restroom & a shower stall due to the pandemic and to do our part to keep our guests safe.

The staff was friendly and the campground neat and well kept. It's always a nice stop on our summer trip west.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your great feedback. Thank you for noticing all our efforts. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
Sep 06, 2020
It was only for one night but the staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for completing your guest survey. We are glad to hear that your stay went so well. Thank you for noticing our efforts around the campground.

Just a little noisy by interstate otherwise great

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do have easy on/off access to I-90, so there may be some highway noise. Good to know that everything else went well for you during your stay.
Sep 06, 2020
The Sheridan KOA is located close to I-90 which makes it very convenient but also has some highway noise. the campground has several wonderful cabins and covered areas for tenters or shelter from hot sun or rain. The staff is helpful. The bathrooms have been remodeled with a nice handicap accessible shower.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to complete your survey. There is some highway noise due to our easy on/off access to I-90. You are spot on with your description of the campground's facilities.
Sep 06, 2020
The people who ran the campground was not very friendly. We thanked the person who took us to the site he just drove off and didn’t acknowledge us.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry that happened to you. We try very hard to greet & acknowledge our guests. Many times our staff is doing double duty-taking people to their sites while trying to do other things around the park.
Sep 05, 2020
Very nice. Very clean. Not very personable staff, but spotless and clean

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. Our staff is trained to be friendly with all of our guests but they are human and can have a bad day.

Thank you for your positive feedback. Our staff tries to be friendly & professional with each of our guests.

Stopped for only one night and would stay longer on our next time through. Staff very professional and helpful. Perfect location.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the great comments and we couldn't agree with you more. We are looking forward to your next stay with us.

Lots of train horns, 5 am trash pickup woke the whole family. The pool was closed. The game room was closed, wifi sucked, and still had to pay full price. Save the headache, sell the camper, and stay in a hotel

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The trains are 1 mile away, and they blow horns sometimes at night. Wifi is free lots of homeschoolers these days due to the virus, which has taken up quite a bit of bandwidth. Our Pool closes Sept 1. Due to the freezing temp at night, it's posted on the KOA website. We have no control over the city

We stayed at here 1 day prior to our trip to Yellowstone and then 1 day on our return trip back home to Illinois. This is a nice campground, however the sewer hookup was so elevated above ground it was difficult to get a good drainage and the water hookup was underground in containers making it impossible to place our water filter on the connection. Also, garbage collector came at 6am!!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So glad that you stayed with us. We do have to elevate our sewer hookups and put our water connections in the ground to protect them against the snow that we get here in April & October (sometimes in May & September). We wish we had some control over when the garbage is collected, so sorry.
Sep 03, 2020
Not real friendly check-in. Pool was cold and dirty. Advertised like its in the Big Horn Mts when its not.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We try to be friendly to each of our guests but our staff is human and can have a bad day. We work hard to keep the pool clean each day but we do have winds that blow. The pool is solar heated so we really can't control it's temperature. We sit in the foothills of the Big Horns (as advertised).
Sep 03, 2020
We gave our slideout info when we reserved but were put in a spot with only 4 ft on each side and no room for awning or use of outside. Very poor planning on your part and there were other places you could have put us. Tree limbs hanging almost took our antenna. Pay more attention to size of camper!! Very uncomfortable stay. Nice laundry though.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do try very hard to accommodate each guest's needs. Just because a site was empty when you got here does not mean that it is not already reserved. Besides that not all sites are full hookup We have been full almost every night this year & there hasn't been empty sites to move our guests around.
Sep 03, 2020
We have a 24 ft travel van. We do not normally stay at KOA's. I was able to book one night online just two hours before arriving. The campground was well laid out, the staff was very welcoming, and the restrooms/showers were spotless! The price was right at $40 for water and electric. Close to all Black Hills/Custer POI's. Cabins looked nice too. Would have loved to try the pool...next time..

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for all of the positive feedback. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Breakfast was great!
Sep 02, 2020
The water in the sinks was cold. One out of three toilets was out of order. One of three showers were out of order.. We tried using the small heater in the room as it was a chilly evening. It wasn’t working, sounding like a car reving engine every time it would kick on, waking us up several times during the night. The desk attendant was pleasant. We like Staying at KOA’s, yours could use some

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have small space heaters in our cabins and like a fan they do make a fan noise. Signs are posted in the restroom indicating that one shower and one restroom stall is closed to allow for social distancing during the COVID pandemic. We are concerned for our guests safety & doing our part to keep our guests safe. It may take the water a bit to warm up (as it does in your own home).

Overnight stay, staff very friendly, campground clean. Quiet and restful after a day on the road.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to complete your survey. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us.

Sites are small and close together.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our sites do vary in length & width so that we can meet the needs of the different sizes (widths & lengths) of each guest that stays here.
Aug 31, 2020
Clean, level sites, and friendly staff! We would definitely stay here again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your positive feedback. We are glad that our staff took good care of you & we hope to see you again in the future.
Aug 31, 2020
It is a nice campground. This year we did not use the restrooms or showers, just our preference. My only thought for them would be to mark the entrance better after you get off the main highway (as to where to turn off) and when you are coming to the entrance.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for completing your survey. We have been annexed by the city and they control the signage & its placement.
Aug 31, 2020
The staff was friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Grounds were clean and well-maintained. We would stay here again and will recommend it to our family and friends. Thanks for a very enjoyable week stay!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for all of the positive comments. Sounds as though you had a very enjoyable week's stay. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Aug 31, 2020
The park is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Most everyone obeys the quiet hours rule...which is very much appreciated. Not happy about the train and train whistle throughout the night. Also, the car alarm that went off in the middle of the night wasn't helpful either. While some of this is not preventable, building KOAs away from train tracks is.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. Glad to hear that the park was clean & our staff took care of you. We hope that our guests respect the quiet hours (not all do). The train does use its whistle at night if there are animals on the track (deer & pronghorns live in the area-as do turkeys).

Aug 29, 2020
Clean and well kept up. Some rd noise but close to stores

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. Sheridan is a great area with many things to see & do.
Aug 29, 2020
Great facility, very well maintained. There is a sizable group of people cleaning and fixing constantly. The only drawback was, like most privately owned campgrounds, the way campers are squeezed close together.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. We work very hard on maintaining the campground while also ensuring that each guest is escorted to their site. Our sites do vary in size depending on our guests needs.
Aug 29, 2020
Stayed one night. Nice clean park. Did.not use any amenities other than sewer dump which was convenient on the way out. Walked the dogs around the park and then under I90 overpass to the nice bike path on the other side. Park nicely situated to I90 for the traveler. Site was pull through and level with 50/30/20 amp elec and water.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. We are hoping that the city will complete its plans & connect us to a path on the both sides of the creek. Sheridan does have a very nice bike/walking path here. We do have easy on/off access to I-90.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Just plugged in and stayed the night. WiFi didn’t work.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comments. Whenever you have an issue, please advise the staff in the office so that we can investigate the issue & take care of it. In this way, we can see whether our wifi is having problems or if it might be an operator issue.

Nice shade, well organized with all needed facilities. Very nice staff. We will srop again.
Aug 27, 2020
relaxing. Had a quiet evening, visited with fellow campers, bathrooms clean. Just enjoyed the atmosphere.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to complete your guest survey. Our campground has a beautiful setting and is great for just relaxing. We hope to see you in the future.
Aug 27, 2020
Everything was clean. The Campground was quiet and very peaceful. We spent 5 days and would stay there again

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to complete your guest survey. Hopefully you got to take in all the sights in the area during your 5 day stay. We look forward to seeing you again.
Aug 27, 2020
Location was fine. Off highway. Lots of flies. Low water pressure. Sites somewhat small. Woke to a homeless man sleeping on ground in front of rest rooms. Staff was very friendly though.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are on the city water system regarding water pressure. If the pressure is too high, it will cause issues with RV's. We can't control the bugs outside-it is camping. If there was an issue with someone outside the restrooms, it would have been helpful to know at the time in order to take care of it

Loved this KOA. Nice level spot for our 5th wheel with plenty of room to park our pickup. Also plenty of room between sites which we have not always found to be the case at other campgrounds. Staff/owners? very friendly and grounds were well maintained. Visited local attractions of Kendrick mansion and Fort Phil Kearney. Even though we live within 120 miles of this campground we hope to return next summer to stay here and have more adventures in this area.

Mostly empty on my stop here but you could tell it was well cared for. Lots of folks winterizing the campground, pruning trees for snow etc. And it had all the standard KOA amenities. Bathrooms and showers were pristine

Great place to say. Quiet with lots of trees and room and a wonderful creek to walk along. Very pet friendly and they have rabbits and squirrels to entertain your pets.
