The location is beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The grounds were very well kept. We highly recommend!

We had a fantastic week at the Townsend KOA. The campgrounds were beautiful and all facilities were very well cleaned. The staff went ABOVE and BEYOND our expectations, (including closing up and storing our canopy and outside things during an extremely windy day while we were over in PF...we're newbies). We can't wait to come back again next Spring Break!!!! Thanks for all you do!

The sites were very close together. Didn’t take into account for slides so when we put ours out the people next to us had a huge fire going right under our slide . Said something to the help and he just rolled his eyes. They said I could move for an additional fee but we were all set up. Wild fires going on but they still had fires. Our sewer tube got crushed by people next to us. So sad!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time!! We only stayed for 2 nights and were busy with a local competition. But the time we did spend at your KOA made us ready to come back for a REAL relaxing stay. We have nothing negative to say- and only wonderful things! Thanks for keeping your facilities beautiful & well kept as well as for every staff member being so warm & welcoming! We will for sure be back

KOA employees rock and are very informative about KOA and the area. Texts sent about safety updates and in our case during our stray, wildfires. Peaceful side of the Smokies and Little River is the sleeper. Five days of pure relaxation !

Encountered no problems, but next door neighbor had a tree limb crash through their camper. It was a wild, windy night on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, and the forest fires were alarming. The office kept us advised of any warnings or alerts. SORRY THAT WE CAN NO LONGER MAKE OUR BOOKINGS ANY FURTHER OUT THAN 11 MONTHS.

The entire KOA was clean; quiet hours were respected; the bathhouse was clean and spacious. Our only "complaint" was the site we were in was a little too close to our neighbors. I'm sure if we had requested we could have been moved; other sites had more space/privacy. Overall it was a great stay, and we love the location so close to the Smokies!

Tha staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave me a second spot to park after I had mistakenly only reserved one night. And having a 45 trailer doesn't make it easy to move around. Will definitely go back. Very clean and beautiful park.

We’ve been camping here for 15 years and two things are a constant at this campground. A meticulously kept property that the staff obviously works on continuously and welcoming employees that are clearly interested in making your stay enjoyable.

The staff was friendly, and the campground in general was clean and well kept. We stayed on a tent site- which was very nice, also level for the tent. Only complaint- The light for the next sites hook up was very bright in our tent. So we unscrewed it in order to sleep. One suggestion- laundry detergent dispenser and coin machine in the laundry facility. Thank you for a wonder stay!

We stayed for a week at the end of March 2022 in spot 30. Entire park is limestone, most spots were pretty level. Lots of trees, but seemed like everyone was able to setup nicely with slide outs and awnings. Good cable, quiet, great location for Smokey mountains. Grocery and restaurants close.

Dc17 was pretty nice. The bathtub/shower drain is extremely slow to drain. And the front door shades are broken so it’s hard to get them closed so you can’t see in. Also the bathroom sink is very loose on the wall. Pretty cool cabin though. Would stay again. 2nd time at this campground and it’ss nice place.

Nice location next to the river. The pool was closed for construction which was a bummer on an 80 degree day. The lots a pretty condensed next to each other. Would prefer to have a little more room. Parking was a challenge because a big boulder was right behind our parking spot. Had to back out nearly the entire drive before turning around to drive forward.

After check in process everything went fine. I arrived an hour early and stopped by to check if cabin was ready yet. In the past I was able to check in if it was ready before 3pm. I had other things to do if it was not ready. Nonetheless, the attendant "Kris" was very rude as if I was requesting special attention. Everyone else at the site was pleasant as usual otherwise. I checked in later.

We have been staying here for years and each visit is better than the last. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The location on the river was perfect. We will be back!

Their photos definitely need to be updated! We were so surprised at how nice the cabin was, we were sortof expecting just a plain ole cabin with basics and basically ended up in a super nice rustic hotel room. I wish I had taken my own pictures, it was bright and clean and comfy. The location allowed us a gorgeous drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. We were also very close to Cades Cove which was also beautiful. Very happy with our stay overall
