This was our first time at the Townsend KOA. We really enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the campground, location and facilities. The only suggestion would be adding a sign at the entrance that says "keep left" or changing the direction of the entrance and exit to match normal traffic patterns.

Super nice campground. Very quiet and the guys that run around on the golf carts are super nice and helpful. Shout out to Allen for all his help!!! We will definitely stay here again!!

The staff was so courteous, I’ve never seen anything like it. The campground itself was immaculate and clean our deluxe cabin was fantastic. I will plan to stay here again with my family. I truly was a wonderful experience.

Our stay was perfect! Staff was helpful and friendly. Grounds were kept clean and the views and amenities were amazing. Playground could use some lights for late afternoon play.

The staff was amazing! Helped me get backed in the site, and even gave me cards to who could fix our hot water heater that went out.

This was our familys first time tent camping and we enjoyed everything about this site. Great facilities, campsite, staff, amentities, and views. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, clean vacation that has a small town/remote location feel to it.

They are currently under renovation and also construction of a new welcome center, but were doing their best with the construction. The mattresses on the bunk beds were not comfortable at all. We ended up putting both on the same bed because they were so thin.

We enjoyed immensely our stay at Townsend KOA. Situated on the river bank our cabin provided us with a serene comfy stay. The campground staff are attentive and helpful. Next time we’ll have to rent one of the deluxe cabins on the river.

By far one of the best KOA locations we’ve stayed at country wide! Friendly and abundantly helpful staff. Sites are well taken care of and the facilities are top notch. Me and my family will definitely be returning!

Townsend KOA is one of the best KOAs I have ever been too. The entire staff was welcoming, outgoing and eager to assist. They put an enormous effort into keeping the park clean; and it shows. Great job you guys and thank you.

Stay was great. Staff was always present and facilities were always clean. Campground was well kept and they even credited us our last day without having to ask, when we left early unexpectedly.

It was everything we had hoped it would be AND MORE!!! This was our first ever camping trip with our new camper! The staff was immensely helpful getting us backed in to a tight spot (due to a couple trees). The sites were nice and roomy with beautiful views! We will DEFINITELY be back!

One of the best and well managed campsites I have ever visited. Beautiful property, helpful staff and the bathhouses were extremely clean and well kept. Can’t record enough. Only comment would be the firewood was expensive, which I guess is because of the convenience, but the wood was not well seasoned and burned very poorly.

It’s a nice campground in a nice location but the construction going on, I didn’t know till we were headed to camp. The constant banging from construction, I would have stayed some place else, not too relaxing with that noise.

Had a great time! Our granddaughter especially enjoyed the playground and learning to skip rocks in the creek. The campground is well kept, and the staff is very friendly. A beautiful setting just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Will definitely go again!

This was our “maiden voyage “ with our travel trailer. What a wonderful campground! We were so impressed with everything! The service, the Beaty, the cleanliness and especially how helpful everyone was. Planning our next trip already!

Very well kept, showers and bathrooms were clean! The cleanest campground bathrooms I’ve ever been in. My only complaint was the noise, even after 10pm which was stated as quiet time that was “strictly enforced”. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The campground ground was clean and well maintained. The shower house was roomy with available washers and dryers. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The text communication was a great touch, sending check in information with the ability to text back if we needed anything. Being able to text for firewood or ice and have it delivered was a nice touch. Would love a River site next visit.

Amazing!! Cant wait to come back. Everyont of the staff on the grounds was super nice and very helpful. This was our family first rv trip and it was a blast.

We have been staying here for years and each visit is better than the last. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The location on the river was perfect. We will be back!

Their photos definitely need to be updated! We were so surprised at how nice the cabin was, we were sortof expecting just a plain ole cabin with basics and basically ended up in a super nice rustic hotel room. I wish I had taken my own pictures, it was bright and clean and comfy. The location allowed us a gorgeous drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. We were also very close to Cades Cove which was also beautiful. Very happy with our stay overall
