The deluxe cabin was nice and the provided all bed linens and towels/wash cloths. The kitchenette had dishes and utensils even provided dish liquid etc. The propane heater was not working, however there was also a mini split wall unit that was there for back up it was a bit noisy so they even provided an electric fireplace. We were grateful. Since we were staying for our Anniversary weekend.

This is the best camp ground ever ! Very nice staff always quite and very clean. We stayed in one of the cabins clean,quiet and didn't even realize you were at a camp ground . I recommend this place to everyone looking for a a place to stay.

My family stayed in one of the deluxe cabins & we really had a great time! It is a great campsite, very clean, well kept, everyone is friendly. Really have nothing bad to say! The playground is great for kids & the dog park was a nice addition! Will definitely be coming back!

The deluxe cabin was amazing as always. Comfy bed and everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The campground is the absolute best and the staff is always so helpful and friendly. We will be back soon! Been coming for 10 years and looking forward to the next 10.

I loved it so much! I stayed in A plain camping cabin on the river and it was the most amazing week ever!!!! The staff was so kind and the place is super clean! I met friends and saw A live bear in A tree! Will be back for sure!!!!!!!!

The Townsend/Great Smokies KOA is the BEST KOA in the franchise. The BEST campground in the Smokies region. We have stayed over the years in our own tent, own camper, and on this visit in one of their newly renovated cabins. We stayed in DC-19 which is one of the more tiny house style designs. It is superb! Immaculate and beautifully appointed. Pet friendly. Recommend highly!

We had so much fun. The camp cabins are clean, well-appointed, and cozy. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. We had to cut our stay short due to major winter storm, and they made it so easy to change our reservations. Will definitely be coming back again.

We return to the Townsend, TN/Great Smokies KOA every few years and each time have our expectations exceeded. We have stayed in various cabins, as well as in our own camper and tent over the years. The sites/accomodations are always pristine, well-maintained, exactly as described and often better than the website. The staff is awesome! Friendly, helpful. Always feel safe at night here, too.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin, full bath, queen bed, and set of bunk beds, and it was very nice. The check in and out process was super easy. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is because the bunk beds are very short. We were three adults staying there and anyone over 5’6” would probably be uncomfortable in the bunk beds. It would be perfect for a family with small kids though.

Stayed in deluxe cabin. They would only let us have 6 towels. Not enough for 2 nights for 6 people. Our smoke alarm starting going off at 12:00 am texted maintenance nobody was there. Took off ceiling so we could sleep. Got text from them at 8:30 am. Need service 24 hrs! Not very helpful in the office when we asked questions! Should not charge extra fee for more than 2 adults or more than 1 car.

This was our first time at the Townsend KOA. We really enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the campground, location and facilities. The only suggestion would be adding a sign at the entrance that says "keep left" or changing the direction of the entrance and exit to match normal traffic patterns.

Great area, had a great time but the cabin and ac unit was full of dust could barely breathe and definitely should be cleaned.

The staff was so courteous, I’ve never seen anything like it. The campground itself was immaculate and clean our deluxe cabin was fantastic. I will plan to stay here again with my family. I truly was a wonderful experience.

They are currently under renovation and also construction of a new welcome center, but were doing their best with the construction. The mattresses on the bunk beds were not comfortable at all. We ended up putting both on the same bed because they were so thin.

We enjoyed immensely our stay at Townsend KOA. Situated on the river bank our cabin provided us with a serene comfy stay. The campground staff are attentive and helpful. Next time we’ll have to rent one of the deluxe cabins on the river.

It’s a nice campground in a nice location but the construction going on, I didn’t know till we were headed to camp. The constant banging from construction, I would have stayed some place else, not too relaxing with that noise.

My cabin with so much fun right on a river. The staff was so friendly they would wave and say hello, and when I checked and the ladies were so nice. The location is excellent. Townsend is a perfect place to say when visiting the Smokies, it's a cute mountain town, not touristy. I can't wait to return next year.

Never been treated more Rudely by head woman in the office.Staff “Allen”was great. Fam been coming to ur camp for over 15 years.office culture has changed from family to don’t care. Asked for an extension cord to get KOA heater to kids room, I was told I could buy one.Asked for 30 minutes at check out.I was given a sour face and lecture.Unprofessional!cabin was in poor condition. WillNotRet

We have been staying here for years and each visit is better than the last. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The location on the river was perfect. We will be back!

Their photos definitely need to be updated! We were so surprised at how nice the cabin was, we were sortof expecting just a plain ole cabin with basics and basically ended up in a super nice rustic hotel room. I wish I had taken my own pictures, it was bright and clean and comfy. The location allowed us a gorgeous drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. We were also very close to Cades Cove which was also beautiful. Very happy with our stay overall
