We had River site 123 and my parents had cabin D6 near us. Absolutely loved site 123. All the staff are friendly and helpful as always. My mom locked herself out of her cabin after hours. I left a message and a really nice employee came to let her back in.

One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. The staff was very helpful and kind. Beautiful area and very well kept and clean campground. It was a pleasant change from the absolutely terrible experience we had at the Myrtle Beach KOA.

Beautiful campground with lots of trees. My only complaint would be how close the fire pits are to other campers.

This was our second year in a row to stay at Townsend KOA. We have decided to make an annual Thanksgiving trip there and have already booked our trip for 2022. Great place to camp, quiet, we love it! The staff is always great!

From the moment we arrived...everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Adam & Allen both were awesome! They helped us get our TV working. They are both a great asset to your team! It was lovely! Thank you.

Clean, nice, easy to get to but the sites we were in were tight with hardly any room to sit outside. Overall the campground wasn’t super inviting- no one was rude but we honestly felt like a number. We’ve been to KOAs before that made us feel like family and like they wanted us to be there. Definitely didn’t get the warm and fuzzy feeling here.

I have been camping for over 40 years. In life you are lucky if you have two or three times that you think that is great service. Nov 18 and 19 2021 a employee at Townsend koa made our stay great his name is Allen the best worker I have seen in long time. Thank you Allen and koa for having that employee. GREAT JOB. Beautifully maintained campground provides a text message link when you register to request supplies like ice and firewood delivered to your site, response was prompt. Great location for quiet relaxation on Little River.

We were greeted at the gate which felt wonderful after a long journey . We were then shown to our site and the gentleman helped us reverse the trailer . This site is beautifully kept and the staff are very helpful . We booked again for next year

This is our favorite KOA of all and maybe even our favorite campground altogether. Great location, very clean grounds and bathhouse, and gracious and helpful staff. We have always had a wonderful experience at this KOA and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet location.

This was our sixth time staying at Great Smokies KOA and it just gets better every time. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the amenities were clean and tidy. We already have two reservations for next year. We Love y’all!! God Bless �

Lisa in the office was very, very helpful! She made several reservations for me for next November for our annual family trip. She was pleasant and friendly throughout the entire process. The others in the office were just as nice...I really appreciated their attitude and willingness to help.

We stayed in February and was so impressed by the friendliness of the staff, we wanted to come back. This time the staff was not nearly as friendly. Maybe it was becuase the campground was more busy, but just wasnt as welcoming. The sites are wonderful and grounds are very well kept.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Campgrounds were well maintained.. The staff went overboard in in making us feel welcomed and assisting us with simple request!! I will come back and will recommend this KOA to everyone!!!!

The staff was amazing, so helpful and friendly, we were amazed at how accommodating the staff were, we will definitely come back here again and again!! The place was clean and beautiful, we had the best time ever.

We have been staying here for years and each visit is better than the last. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The location on the river was perfect. We will be back!

Their photos definitely need to be updated! We were so surprised at how nice the cabin was, we were sortof expecting just a plain ole cabin with basics and basically ended up in a super nice rustic hotel room. I wish I had taken my own pictures, it was bright and clean and comfy. The location allowed us a gorgeous drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. We were also very close to Cades Cove which was also beautiful. Very happy with our stay overall
