Very nice campground, especially where we stayed in CR23. I wish the deluxe cabins were closer to the activities, but now I know. Kids had a blast...hopefully next time all activities will be up and running.

We really likes the location and our spot however, we were really looking forward to the kids activities and many were not open. The pool was closed on Saturday on a huge holiday weekend. We missed being able to use the jumping pillow, rock climbing, Bigfoot night walk, and movie night.

In general it was very nice place, but we had some issue with our spot. i booked 2 spots but it was detached even tho i called couple days ahead of my arrival to secure 2 spots are attached and got a confirmation too. then found the 2nd spot has no shade at all, KOA didn't allow us 4 tent staying at one spot and forced us to separate 2 tents per site only which is impractical!

Enjoyed the stay. The activities and amenities were excellent. But the showers, at least the one for areas B and C were in the worst shape of any I have stayed at in any KOA. I would suggest a total replumbing of all three.

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the deluxe cabin and it was perfect for us! We were a little disappointed that the pool was closed for 1 day due to the filter system shutting down but we made up for it by spending the next day there all day. We will definitely be back and stay with family/friends!

We've stayed here 3 times and all 3 times our site has been small and unlevel. Campground is a little outdated and needs some work. The stairs leading to the pool are wobbly and overrun by weeds. The sites are pricey for not having sewer hookups and not much for the adults to do. If they cleaned up the grounds and leveled the sites I would give 5 stars. All the workers are very nice. Needs work.

My only complaint is the large rocks that you use as boarders between the spaces. They are just the right size that you can't see them in your truck. if you don't pay close attention the next thing you know your bumper is on top of one. Both myself and our neighbor damaged our vehicles because of these rocks. do they really need to be that large? maybe half the size would work.

We loved the campsite. It was very clean and kid friendly. The activities were fun. We were located near a bathroom and wish the bathroom path was better labeled because we constantly had people crossing through our camp. Otherwise, everything was great.

I have been here before like six years ago, I loved it so I told my friends to come here, I am so embarrassed to have recommended this place, we had the worst experience ever! First, we got wrong information as to where we could stay, we had set up camp and turns out the office had already booked that place, we got moved to another spot that was super nasty and super dusty. Horrible.

We stayed in cabin 2. The hot water in the shower didn’t work. We figured out that we had to turn on and leave on the hot water from sink if we wanted hot water to shower. The cabinets on the bath and kitchen looked scuffed and not clean. The shower curtain was dirty, when I asked the cleaning crew for a new shower curtain they didn’t have any on hand. The cabin we stayed at was clean. However, the shower dispenser broke on the second day and there was no hot water running the second night. When I notified the front desk about this experience upon check out, I didn't even receive an apology.

Our stay at KOA Ventura Ranch was ok. Loud music, late-partying neighbors and trash all over our space was disappointing. Some general upkeep (trash pick up, emptying of fire pit ash) would have made our stay more comfortable.

Check in process very slow & driveway at check in office is narrow and creates back up for those checking in. Access to campers is blocked if more than 3 or 4 RV's checking in. They should have employees outside assisting w/check in and running paper work to and from the office. Showers are in need of cleaning. Clubhouse showers had no hot water!! Booked this KOA as website says updated facility.

PROS: shade, pool, big space, no wind, minimal bugs. CONS: quiet hours not enforced, bathrooms are disgusting, I had to complain to get them clean, lots of kids. asked for them not to put kids next to me & they did, not only did they wake me at 6am, but kept me up til 11pm. I think KOA needs an adults only section.

The booking says we'd get a gas tent pad, but our site was all dirt. Also, I understand the booking says not all sites have shade, but I am still disappointed that all other sites around us have shade, except ours. There were two showers, but only one was accessible. The other one was locked, which could not be opened with the code given.

My site (#2 pull through) smelled like sewage and the staff did nothing to fix it and I was told no to any discount. I paid a “covid” fee for what?? The bathroom stalls all didn’t lock and the WiFi didn’t work at all anywhere. It only was strong enough to send text messages if you were lucky. Too expensive for a sewage scented site and no internet. Hated early fire and sound curfew too

Although we loved the cabin layout for our family, it was very disappointing that during our stay we have a strong smell of sewage. ���We usually stay here every year. Not sure if we we'll stay again next year.�

Beautiful location but the campground itself is in need of some maintenance. Camp sites are not level. Trees are not trimmed back. Shower and restroom facilities are not very clean. There is not much for adults to do, everything is centred around kids. The shop is very basic and could sell much more. The dump site locations are inconvenient as makes it very busy around the entrance/exit.

It was wonderful! Kids enjoyed all the activities. Only thing I wish we knew was to check electric panel because it was off and we couldn’t understand why refrigerator was not working or outlets. We definitely want to come stay again!!! One of best places we stayed!! Thank you

Overall good visit. Restrooms were not always clean but still ok. Maybe reppen bouncing pad and movie night. We didn't see the gem mining open when it was posted it would be open.

This was awful! Way too expensive with undisclosed added “COVID surcharges”. The bathrooms were dirty and 1/2 out of order. No movie night, no climbing wall, no jump pillow, no gem mining and the staff was unhelpful and uninvolved. It should and could have been amazing. We will never return.

Appreciated the camp being kid and family friendly. Though unique, the peacocks were rather annoying and noisy. Fairly dusty, but that's the way it is. No fault of staff, but bathrooms were misused and dirty due to irresponsible campers. All said, we'd stay again.

We always enjoy our stay. Loved the zip line and bike track. Restrooms could have been maintained a little more frequently.

This KOA is run down and not kept up. We were in spot Pine 10, which was nice enough. The biggest problem was stairs down to the pool. They are unsafe. There's a hand rail, but bushes were so grown over stairs, we had to duck to go under and couldn't grasp handrail in places. Trash wasn't picked up regularly, dumpster had trash falling out. Most of the activities were closed. Disappointing.

This is a great place for kids. Lots of fun things, a great pool and lots of room to roam. The campground directory says there is cable. There us not. The peacocks are pretty to watch, but make terrible screeching noises starting at 530 AM. We were attending a wedding in Cammarillo so the diistance was a little far for commuting back and forth.

We reserved a site for our 38’ foot Class A MH w/tow vehicle. We barely fit in the back-in spot and there was no room to park our tow at our site without it partially hanging over in the already narrow roadway. Partial hook up (only water & electric) for $78/night (????). The campground setting was similar to what one would find in a state campground. This was a huge KOA disappointment for us.

Staff is great. The road bisecting the Campgrounds has too much construction traffic beginning at 6:30am and ending at 6:00pm (dangerous and noisy). Our RV spot had a 5’ sewer vent tube, the smell kept us from using our picnic table area. We only sat outside during a 6 hour power outage in the middle of the day when it was too hot to stay inside. Not good experience, I would not recommend.

Having several separate small areas gives this a "small campground" feel while enjoying the benefits of a large park. The spaces are large and private, and having a fire pit was nice. I also liked the way our area was arranged around a central grassy park where kids could play. Wild peacocks wandering around was an added bonus. Loved this place!

Had a great time, but the power went out from 1130 am and did not returned until 6pm. My all of my food had gone to waste. The electric issues should been addressed quicker.

A sizeable KOA with friendly staff and lots of amenities. Sadly, many, including the pool, mining center, and more, are seasonal. The large labyrinth is unique and jumping pillow and playground always a hit. Lots of camping options including cabins, hookups, teepees, even covered wagons. Did I mention peacocks who nest in the trees at night, calling to each other? Adventure awaits. Store with ice, firewood, and limited other sundries closes before 7pm. Dump station available.
