We stayed in a cabin. It was great! The campground had a lot of things for the grandkids to do, and the people were nice. There were also some beautiful peacocks. My only complaint was that the cabins are a little pricey, especially in the middle of the week, off season.

Staff were very helpful and kind. Cabin was beautiful and very clean. Stevie went above and beyond by organizing something that my two immune-deficient children would be able to do, and was going to arrange it so that it was just our family doing it. Unfortunately my daughter sprained her ankle and we weren't able to do what had been planned, but we'll be back (and hopefully we can do it then!)

This place exceeded our expectations. We've gone "cabin camping" a few times as a family & this place is by far the best! From the 250 wild peacocks that roamed the property, to the helpful staff, the beautiful cabins(seem very new...had a loft up above w/safe stairs & rail overlook for our 6 & 9 y/o boys to go up to. The number of activities always kept us busy, but relaxed. Highly recommend!

HIRE MGR THAT CARES- Cute Cabin Skunk odor. CR 13 cabin is clean and newer. We love that we have our own little area for privacy and the view is amazing with the fall leaves even on winter. It’s also close to the the kids activities and the Santa Paula creek. The staff are very helpful. Although we stayed in the cabin because of the rain, we felt comfortable for our first glamping. We will be back for a real tent camping again.

We had a great stay. We stayed in a cabin and it had all the amenities we needed. Great spaces. An added perk was the zip line ropes course. Everyone had a great time.

This was our 2nd stay & it was AMAZING! We had such a relaxing 5 day stay to celebrate our sons 7th birthday. It's so beautiful and peaceful we lost track of time. The peacock were beautiful and peaceful to watch as we sat and relaxed in front of the fire most of the day. All the staff was beyond friendly! I rate this campground a 10/10 and will definitely be staying again! We were very pleased!

Good location except road noise! Playground needs some repairs. Check in staff very friendly. Not much privacy in some of the spots (including ours). This wasn't an issue because it wasn't very full. Some teepees need repairs (tears in walls and entry door closures).

We had a great time as always. Love the creek and the bounce pad. The new check in trailer and little store are nice! Wish they would fix the playground. Be careful of the shower doors by the pool they close really fast and are heavy and my husband got his foot slammed on by the door.

Loved the area and had a lot of fun -- especially impressed with the ropes and zipline! Only complaints were: 1) no hand soap in the bathroom. 2) Bed was very noisy and creaky, which made it tough to stay asleep. 3) Bathroom smelled like a skunk either lived or died under it!!

We always have the best time at the Ventura Ranch KOA. The ropes course was a huge hit and the Halloween parade and spooky trail were awesome! We're already excited for next year!

I specifically chose TP#12 based on its location. We are frequent KOA campers, and I always book a few months in advance. When we got there, we saw that there was a big slash in the side. We went to the office to complain and thankfull the manager, Stevie, was there at that moment, because she kindly upgraded us to a cabin. I have more to say but I will have to continue on a 2nd review submission.

2 night stay in a cabin close to pool. It was clean and spacious for the 3 of us. We enjoyed the plentiful peacocks �� and the quiet surroundings. Beautiful views and great hospitality. We got more than expected. Thank you!!!

I was in CP4, we had NO HOT water for the entire stay, Aunts were always in the kitchen area and both bath rooms...my grand children had a wonderful time except for the fact that the Hayride was a joke and nothing really happened, the panning for gold was shut down for no reason and they really wanted to do that activity. Other than that I think we enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time staying in the teepee! The kids enjoyed the giant inflated jumper and walking around on the nature trail. All in all, it was a great vacation! I did see a few spots for improvement: there was trash along the creek when we walked the nature trail. And it was disappointing to see so much graffiti. Also, there was a bunch of trash at another teepee. Maybe encourage nature ed.

Absolutely loved the events for the kids. We had several groups there and all had a great time. My only feedback is it was our second time doing the mining this year - second time seeing it poorly organized. Also, our cabin (two) didn’t have hot water in the kitchen and the dishwasher did not work. We were also charged for a second time through the zip line. Great to see the store back!

Lots of activities and cabin was modern but ours was infested with ants before we got there and it was the worst in the bedroom. They were crawling on us while we slept. Also, the sheets had been washed but had lots of stains which made us uneasy. Other than that, we really enjoyed.

Great! There are only few issues. Stayed in cabin 13. It has no window coverings in the loft and looks straight into the next cabin. 0 privacy. There were spiders and webs in the exterior windows which freaked out my kiddos. It could be cleaner. The floors made our feet black, which normally - it's a cabin, right? But with COVID, gave us a sense of uncleanliness. No gas grill in this cabin.

It was perfect: quiet, spacious area, beautiful pool area though water was too cold for me, plenty of places to sit, nice walks, just perfect. And the cabin was so clean. Thank you

A sizeable KOA with friendly staff and lots of amenities. Sadly, many, including the pool, mining center, and more, are seasonal. The large labyrinth is unique and jumping pillow and playground always a hit. Lots of camping options including cabins, hookups, teepees, even covered wagons. Did I mention peacocks who nest in the trees at night, calling to each other? Adventure awaits. Store with ice, firewood, and limited other sundries closes before 7pm. Dump station available.
