I put out a lot of Halloween Decorations, and no one came by until late Saturday to view my site for the contest. They asked why I was putting my stuff away, and I told them that all of my decorations got soaking wet the night before and I was leaving early Sunday morning. I couldn't take a chance that everything would get wet again to get moldy. Real bummer they waited so long to come by!

This campground is a hidden gem. We had the best time. There’s so much to do and explore for kids of all ages…Very friendly and helpful staff. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you for a wonderful weekend

very nice except... pea fowl are beautiful to look at but their screeching is not so great and even worse is the mess they make on your vehicle (motorhome, truck, car, whatever) that happens to be under a tree they choose to roost in for the night!! We were lucky, they chose our neighbor's tree. He however had to shovel off his truck every morning!

Everything was awesome except the showers need help. Full of spiders, poorly lit, poor condition. Pine bathrooms.

We stayed here due to proximity of where we were picking up our new trailer and availability. We stayed longer due to campground itself. Fun activities for Halloween, large campground with lots to do and see. Called family members to let them know about location and planned to come again. Sadly the entire campground burned a couple of years earlier but they’ve done an amazing job rebuilding!

This KOA had campgrounds spread out in some areas. We stayed in the downhill area by a nature walking trail. The scenery was nice with the canyon surrounding the view. A peacock would come by to look at us and our RV. Facilities were nice and clean. We stayed in September so didn't use the pool

Always a very nice stay. I think my only complaint would be all of the big trucks going back and forth up and down the road.

We met with a group there and used the campground as a base camp for forays into Santa Paula and elsewhere. We had full hookups and wifi, which was great. Everything was very smooth with no problems.

We enjoyed our time camping with friends. It is too bad that trucks and traffic begin driving through the park at 6:00 am.

Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful site, kind people, very clean. The rope course really added to the trip! The Halloween activities were graat as well.

Nice park, quiet and the staff were friendly. It’s outside the city limits of Santa Paula but still close to everything.

Such a fabulous place to stay! My kids had a blast at the blob, the pool and the epic Halloween weekend. We booked our next stay before we left!

Quiet campground easy to get to. A county road runs through middle of campground which had construction vehicle activity during the day. Featured kids activities are only open on weekends.

Beautiful location, difficult to get to with warnings of theft posted nearby that made us a bit uneasy. Fun activities, unfortunately most closed. Amazing staff. Peacocks will eat right out of your hand!

Stayed twice. Nice campgrounds and view of the dunes. Sites are clean and enough room for the outdoor living space and parking. I really don’t like the mobile home park feel with so many permanent sites. Would be much nicer for the permanent residents to be in a separate area and those that are short stays to enjoy a more camping feel.

All of the amenities were closed during the week and the site next to us had a broken hose so our camper pop outs got sprayed the first two nights and we woke up soaking wet.

Amazing views and super quiet site. Beautiful here and the facilities are in good repair. Wish there was a dishwashing station i stead of using the RV dump station but the views make up for it all. Level site and friendly staff.

We had a great stay in the birch section will a pull through site. It had a nice big patio. The zip line course was amazing. The kids always enjoy the jumping pillow. This was our first time in October so the kids were also so excited to get to trick or treat.

Great time and very nice camp ground. You just need to trouble shoot or replace the electrical breaker and/or receptacle as it kept tripping and we weren’t overloading it.

Dirty shower/ bathrooms dog poop everywhere camp site not clean had dog poop everywhere had to complain to have someone come clean up all the dog poo 2 out of the 3 day we were staying peacocks poop all over our camp site they were flying up on the table so we could not eat outside. The front desk people were nice.

I organized a group of 10. Working with Stevie (group camping) was awesome. Very attentive to our ever changing needs. Highly recommend camping at Ventura KOA. Very relaxing, quite and peaceful. Look forward to our next trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Ventura Ranch very much. We had a hook up w/ patio with a great view. Very quiet during our stay as it was mid week so no activities we’re happening. Only issue we had was the showers. No hot water. My husband finally figured it out , but after a cold shower. Probably could use some attention in that area. But definitely would stay here again �.

When we got there when we pulled into the site we were very disappointed we’ve never stayed in a KOA park that was so dirty we spent $99 a night to get a patio and the patio is filthy dirty there was dog poop that had not been picked up it was just not a good stay for us we stayed there before and we absolutely loved it, this time we told ourselves we will never come back

Stevie and the entire staff were amazing. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating to us. We were two families traveling with 6 kids and had the best time. There were plenty of activities to do and our site was perfect to let the kids run around and enjoy nature and just be kids! We will definitely go back again. Such a wonderful experience.

I did not stay at KOA but "commuted" in for the San Dieguito class of 74 event, and took part in all events. It's a very fun environment and I had a blast. I suggest, though, that zipline/rope course participants be informed about the length and challenging nature of the course before participants begin the course.

A sizeable KOA with friendly staff and lots of amenities. Sadly, many, including the pool, mining center, and more, are seasonal. The large labyrinth is unique and jumping pillow and playground always a hit. Lots of camping options including cabins, hookups, teepees, even covered wagons. Did I mention peacocks who nest in the trees at night, calling to each other? Adventure awaits. Store with ice, firewood, and limited other sundries closes before 7pm. Dump station available.
