Great check in. Clean facilities. Cigarette butts at campsite. Ok for me but if I had my grandkids I would have been upset.

Rented a cabin on the n side so that I was close to my family block. paid the extra $20 for THAT cabin. According to the map provided at the time cabin was on north side. when we got there they had moved the cabin & didn’t notify us. We were located half way across the camp on the main road w/ 2 children under 3 They told us there was nothing they could do to new management. Only $20 refund.

Staff was AMAZING… very clean campground. Only complaint would be the size of our tent camping space. At our local koa we have a surplus of room. Loved the activities and the pool was so nice. Firewood ice food and supplies all hand delivered when you order.

Great place to stay. Beware there is very little shade if you are there in summer. Otherwise really nice staff and so well maintained.

Little disappointed that you now have to pay for the paddle boats. Used to be included in camping fee. Fees for sights went up with new owners.

Passing through on our way to Minnesota and such a nice surprise! Clean, quiet, and very friendly staff made our overnight stop a pleasant surprise. Great KampK9 area with a nice walking loop around the pond. If you have 2 legged children, plenty of adventures for them as well including a very clean play area, gagaball, trampoline, pool and plenty more to stay busy!

I only stayed one night, but that was enough to see just how well this park is managed. The spaces are very large and well kept, staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room service was great (yes, they deliver food). I spent time walking the entire park and evaluating, and I could not find a blade of grass out of place. Keep up the good work Des Moines KOA. Robert, from California and Arizona.

We stayed here in July in a motorhome. It was an enjoyable couple of days, as we used the swimming pool, enjoyed pizza, fished in the fishing pond, and played at the playground. Staff was friendly and professional. Our site is clean and well-maintained.

It wasn’t clear why a slash pile required burning in the middle of the season. The smell was very noticeable both inside & outside my motorhome. The surface of the crushed rocks was extremely fine and stuck to my dog’s feet and my the bottom of my shoes, which required extra cleaning upon each entrance. Visually, the color was pleasing but bare crushed rock would be better.

Staff are fabulous, site a bit cozy but very well maintained. Many child activities to keep wee ones happy. Extra amenities that I have not seen at other RV parks are great. Looking at my calendar to see when we can come back and stay longer.

We had a great time! It is wonderful that they bring the pizzas, and the wood right to our site. The grandkids missed the big bouncy pillow, but the other blow up bouncy house was good.

We had many family members with campers and cabins. The cabins were awesome. And the grandkids talked me into many bags of sand to find priceless gems. They enjoyed all the activities. Fun was had by all.

Initial experience was horrible. Reserved 50amp pull through 3 months ago. They put us in a "buddy" site 2' from the next rig sharing electric. 50amp was already taken, leaving 30 for us. Barely room for slideouts. I called the office who said the park was full. I asked for a refund and the general manager came and escorted us to another site.. Rest of our stay was fine, good amenities.

Children were unattended even at midnight. It was the noisiest campground we have ever experienced. When I complained they sent a maintenance person driving a noisy ATV who reported he didn't hear anything. The floors in the shower & bathroom were muddy also. We have been pleased with all the other KOA campgrounds, just not that one.

Another wonderful stay at KOA!! We've stayed in almost every cabin they have and have never been disappointed. The cabins and grounds alike are impeccably clean and the staff definitely go above and beyond to make it a great stay every time!!

We loved our spacious cabin and the outdoor patio. There are lots of activities for kids to do. This was our 2nd year of staying there and we will be back next year.

Sweet lil spot to rest a few days that has clean sites, laundry, a dog park, pond, and grassy areas. We ventured to a great local State Park, Starved Rock…phenomenal trails and photo ops!! It's a must see ! The staff is helpful and friendly and the area is beautiful.
