We came in late and there as a sign that said which camp site we were assigned. But there was no map or any paper work. My husband had to walk around with his flash light to see where we were and how to get in to the site. Paid for a 50 amp and when we plugged in only the 30 amp worked. No WiFi password and no cable channel guide. We have stayed in KOAs. And always been happy until this park.

We were extremely disappointed after traveling 2 1/2 hr. to meet our family for this weekend, which we have done for several years. My family could have been seriously injured or worse in the wagon roll-over accident, which seemed to be just taken in stride. Office staff was sarcastic to my grandchild, which was totally unnecessary and not appreciated. She acts more mature at 5 than he did. SAD!!

We loved our two day stay. The staff here is over the top helpful. They had a holloween event one of the days and the amount of things for kids to do was fantastic. My wife and I are retired but loved all the activities for the kids. What a great family park!! Will certainly be back.

While the name is West Des Moines, it was a long way from Des Moines (30 minutes). However, it was close to Winterset, with the Cidery and other attractions of the area. The site was level, everyone we interacted with was nice, camp store was well stocked with hand dipped Ice Cream available.

Probably the best KOA we've ever experienced! Great amenities, escorted to site, firewood and pizza dropped off by staff, trick or treating opportunity and events for all, trash pick up at our site, extremely well maintained, clean, just an overall great experience. Will definitely stay there again!

It was a very nice stay at this campground. Lots of amenities, good spacing between RV sites, good internet, nice staff. Really enjoyed our stay.

The people are extremely nice and helpful. They have excellent services there and it appears to be a great place for kids. We only stayed for one night on our way to Colorado so we can't speak to a lot of things but will say we did have trouble getting level and because we don't like having our wheels off the ground we did move to another site and they were very accommodating.

We stayed in a 1/2 bath cabin with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. It was like new, very clean and well equipped. It had a nice deck, and concrete patio with table and grill. We were next to a safari tent which also looked like a nice stay. The park is in a quiet rural area not too far from the bridges of Madison County. Everything was clean and well kept. A Very nice KOA!!

Wonderful place to stay. Even though it was just an overnight stay for us, we would definitely stay again. Hosts were very welcoming, grounds were well kept. Pizza & wings were good after a long drive, especially since they were delivered to our site. Thank you!

The campground was very clean and the staff were great to deal with but the pull thru site that we had was way to close to the next camper, we pretty much shared a site. For a quick one night stop it was okay.

We won’t be coming back. The cost is just getting too high. There is just 2 of us and we don’t do any of the activities or use the pool, etc. so $350 for 4 night’s camping is just too much. We will go elsewhere and find full hook-up at a reasonable rate. We’ve camped here for years but the last couple years there has been extra changes for every little thing. The facilities are amazing - clean & updated! Several amenities to keep everyone entertained. And the pool was very nice. All of the sites were very nice too! The only downside is that it's all a big, flat parking lot. Bushes and shrubs would make a HUGE difference! We loved everything about the place except for that one aspect.

Staff was friendly. The office was chaotic with it's new arrangement. People trying to get to sign up sheets, the kitchen, check in,etc. The activities were fun, but there were less than there used to be, which isn't bad. The activities were chaotic and they struggled to close one and get ready for the next. Never enough staff at them either as they are trying to help and deal with new people

This is a great park if you're looking for a destination stay and you have kids. It appears that the functions are very family oriented. Having said that, our one night stay was adequate. We were put into the newer part of the park in a spot that was built up with asphalt to make it level (about a foot or more). Made the exit from the spot very tricky as coach tail end nearly drug. Yikes!

The hospitality was awesome , the entertainment for the children was top notch and the resort was being maintained to a 1st Class level.

We stayed during the "off season" in September. I don't looke for "mytle beach in the woods" in an RV park. I want quiet and simple. We had two sites and premium and regular. The premium was nice but the waste pipe was about 6-8" off the ground which meant that nothing flowed right. There were several sites like this. My second site worked fine. The staff was super nice. WiFi was great.

Super lovely hosts! The campground is LARGE and there is so much to explore and see. Arriving late, the hosts left my welcome letter for me. It was a bit difficult to find the tent campsite at night. Bathrooms were super clean!

The campground was great for a one night stay while traveling through. We didn't have reservations and arrived after hours so we appreciated the information for available sites. My only suggestion would to have a more secure box for walk in information envelope which contains either cash or credit card number.

There were a lot of fun activities for the kids. They were disappointed that the ride ones were no longer there. That was one of their favorite things to do. We were surprised to find no cook tops in the cabins any longer. It made for some creative cooking.

We loved Halloween Spooktacular weekend at the KOA! Everyone was so helpful, the campground and facilities were clean and our Granddaughter loved the activities. We've camped here many, many times over the last several years and it started to go downhill a bit the past two years but they have turned that around 100%. The new Managers have made all the difference in the world, Can't wait to go back

Decent WiFi is a rarity. They had very good coverage and excellent speed -roughly 10 Mbs download. I was able to download two Google offline maps. Toilets/showers were in the upscale hotel category (I've not seen better at KOA or any other RV park). Decent spacing between sites - much better than average.

For $72 our campsite was tight, impinging on our neighbors. Site was also not very level. Hosts did a good job opting us out of Trick or Treat. Thank you.

Sweet lil spot to rest a few days that has clean sites, laundry, a dog park, pond, and grassy areas. We ventured to a great local State Park, Starved Rock…phenomenal trails and photo ops!! It's a must see ! The staff is helpful and friendly and the area is beautiful.
