The good: nice patio sites with many activities. Pizza cooked onsite is great. The bad: arriving after hours and getting to your site without an escort is a nightmare. Map doesn’t show street names in the park and with tight lanes and one ways it’s sketchy. Check in the next day was bad. Even though we gave our name we were charged for our neighbors site. Frustrating doubt we will return.

KOAs in general are preferred because of their rules and style. Des Moines was no exception. Very friendly management, clean and well kept park, level sites. Only one night there, but easy in and out. 33' class A with SUV in tow.

The campground is very clean and well-maintained. All of the staff members we interacted with were friendly, polite and professional! We were in an area that seemed to be an expansion, and the sites had good space in between them. We walked through the other part, and the sites were a little closer but still very nicely spaced. Overall, we would stay here again!

With the closeness of the back to back sites I would never stay here again. Much too close -SLIDES ARE INCHES FROM NEIGHBORS SLIDES. I won’t stay where the sites are that tight and I must rely on another camper not hitting my camper.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. This KOA makes it sooooooo easy to order pizza and fire wood and the like. Lots of amenities as well!

We had a very nice overnight stay at this park. My dogs enjoyed the dog park, which is divided so that two families can use it at one time. We had a nice patio space with full hookup and grilled chicken at our site on the propane grill.

We were there for a family reunion. We were in a 30 ft trailer in a pull thru site. It was very nice and beautiful. We had family in the cabins also. All of us decided we would book this KOA again. The grounds are well maintained, as are the campsite hookups. There was so much for the kids to do everyday. The activities were varied and fun. Movie night was great too.

Campground was clean & activities were going on. We were really impressed the pool was still open! The jumping pillow was broken, but they brought in a bounce house which was great! There were rowdy kids playing in the pool that were under 14 and did not have an adult with them. Would be a good idea for staff to check in on the pool sometimes, but overall we had a great time!

Great stay! Great campground! It has changed quite a bit since we stayed there 7 years ago! One thing I noticed when using the restroom. The ceiling fan covers need to be vacuumed and cleaned. Again, a great facility.�

We stayed for 3 days very nice campgrounds friendly staff. The only downside we were across from cabins and people kept cutting through our campsite non-stop

We enjoyed our 2 nite stay. Our site was a gravel, level, long pull-thru site with FHUs. The camp store was awesome. Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly. We were escorted to our site. They make and deliver pizza. It was good. We do not have children, but this KOA has a ton of things for the kiddies to do. The only con about this KOA is the sites are very close together.

I think its pretty crappy that you charge visitors $5 bucks and provide no parking! We had 4 guest come for the Hawkeye game. They stayed a couple hours and had to pay $20 bucks and walk from off premises down the road!

Loved patio site 27 with comfy chairs and fire ring. Great campground overall, including the wifi. Only suggestion would be to move up the ‘stop sign’ for checking in. There was a back up of RVs almost out to the street at times, an unsafe situation.

I had a beautiful site with a patio and a gas grill and a clean fire pit. The staff was extremely helpful and kind and I really enjoyed my stay.

Sweet lil spot to rest a few days that has clean sites, laundry, a dog park, pond, and grassy areas. We ventured to a great local State Park, Starved Rock…phenomenal trails and photo ops!! It's a must see ! The staff is helpful and friendly and the area is beautiful.
