While most KOAs have small sites, the Hayward KOA is the tightest we've been to. Our fire ring was 5-6 feet away from our neighbors truck. Extremely small sites.

Our visit was very pleasant and the themed events are what will keep us coming back. We enjoyed the amenities but it was very clear the campground was only performing general maintenance for upkeep and no reinvestment or improvements.

The bathroom cleaning crew were amazing! They were right on top of their job, even wiped the entire trash can down. Those ladies went above and beyond.

Sites were super small. Many staff were rude. Super super crowded. The multiple wristband set up was irritating and seemed to be a pointless system. Accommodations were nice but likely wouldn't return.

A great family friendly spot to get away- it is a really well run camp with tons of things to keep the whole family entertained.

It was our first time camping in 13 years and our first time with our 8 year old son. I struggle with tent camping and my wife and I work weekend so a camper isn’t feasible. We loved your two room cabin. It had a comfortable mattress but still gave us the feeling of roughing it outdoors. Our son also loved all the activities the resort had to offer.

Love the nice clean safe environment the KOA provides. Plenty of activities for all ages. Got to ride our 4-wheeler right to the trail. Had a nice time riding the trails.

The deluxe cabin was amazing. The waterside and cable tv were not working so that was a little bit of a as let down but overall very nice place

Sites were a little narrow, we all felt cramped for the 4 days we were there. Activity for the little ones was good. Bathrooms were clean.

We specifically came for the themed weekend and activities for kids. If you are no longer doing them you should take it off your website, sign, and pamphlet. You should also tell people that book. A dance party is a favorite for the kids and is doable even in the rain. We also planned to eat at the red pine for breakfasts so we did not bring food and then it was closed Saturday morning.

It was really disappointing to get a message the day we arrived that the waterslide wasn't going to be open that weekend. My entire family was looking forward to it. It seems like a lot of things got cancelled due to the weather but the weather wasn't even bad. I would not pay that much money to go back there.

We had a pleasant time at this KOA. We were fortunate to secure a nice grassy area away from most other campers making in quiet and relaxing. However, most of the camp spots are without any grass and are dusty. We believe the campground is over priced at greater than $60/ day. On a more positive note, this facility is one of the best to entertain children with a water-slide and more.

Campsites are way to close together. Barely enough room to open slides. Will not return to this campground. I love KOA but this one sucked.

This was a very clean facility! Really enjoyed our time! Unfortunately, they no longer do the themed weekends which is one of the reasons we picked this time to go. They waterside was closed due to staffing shortages. They cancelled many activities due to the weather forecast but made the decision way too early and the activities could have been held still. We will be back though.

The overall experience wasn't a great one. Staff doesn't seem to like their jobs. The older lady that worked in the afternoon was extremely disrespectful to guests and children in the store. Expensive camping trip when all the activities cost extra. Dump station is right by the pool and store so it smells rough in them areas often. I would rate it a 3 if the staff were a little more friendly.

Traveling west on my motorcycle and stopped for the night. Super friendly folks! I arrived in the rain and set up tent in light rain which isn’t fun but friendly folks, a place to get food made it great! Really enjoyed breakfast as well. Next morning was beautiful. I look forward to going back again.

We would not recommend this place. The spaces are very small. We have preteens and when we got there ,we were told the waterslide was closed for the weekend. We mainly booked it for the waterslide. Giant pillow was closed most of the weekend. All organized activities were cancelled as it sprinkled on and off. Very crowded. Not a happy camper. Pubic bathrooms were clean.

We loved that there is lot to do for the whole family. We love the fact that you guys have great trails for walking with pets and hiking. Fun place we will return for the 2022 season.

It was very relaxing tent camping in the woods at this camp site. My kids absolutely loved the playground equipment especially the pirate ship, that was a big hit, and we enjoyed how close it is to Duluth as well love going to Duluth!!!

This campground is outstanding. The staff is amazing. It’s clean. Every time we go it is such a magical experience for the kids. I couldn’t be happier.

Stayed three nights in a 2 room cabin without a bathroom. Very clean cabin and I was very impressed with how clean the showers and bathrooms were! Friendly staff for the most part, the red pine Cafe employees weren't very happy to be working, but the cleaning crew was fabulous! They drove by our site in their golf carts and said hello every time! Fun playground and the pool is awesome!

We love it like always. It was our 3rd stay (we came 2x this year.) We tried other campgrounds last year, but decided we won't go anywhere else from now on. Thanks- see ya next year.

Enjoyed our site #35 in the pines and not having campers right next to us - benefits of low season camping. Unique use of flowers w/canoes was very nice/welcoming. Highway noise was a lot lower than other KOA's we've stayed at which was a big plus. Definitely would stay at this KOA again in the fall. Thanks!
