The restroom facilities are showing their age. The site we have (152) is too narrow to put our awning out. There are new owner’s and the billing was a little messed up with a new vendor is what I was told. We have stayed here a couple of other times. The narrow sites are not something different. Nice place for families if you are there during peak season. A lot of play equipment for kids.

Had an issue with another camper parked in our spot, but that was resolved quickly. Enjoyed the facilities and the staff. Brian and Nanci are just amazing and so is the rest of the staff. One of our favorite KOA's and we have stayed at a lot of them.

Was surprised by the Change in Ownership, since staying here a month ago. However, the remaining Staff/Team did a wonderful job for the Labor Day Weekend crowd!

The stay was great! Many friendly people around our site as well. Kid friendly! We did have an issue with dogs by our site, so we would like to see that policy revisited for future years and future campers, but overall we had a great time.

Bathrooms and showers were SO clean at all times! Love Halloween weekend with activities for the kids! Staff were helpful and they answer the phone whenever I call. Sometimes it can be hard to get a hold of anyone at other campgrounds. We always look forward to returning!

We had a great time with friends this past Labor Day weekend staying at the Hayward KOA. Staff was very friendly and the campground was clean. There are two reasons for the three star rating. One was because the activities cost extra and that adds up quickly for a family with multiple children. The biggest reason was the sites were tiny! So small! We were packed in. No room for beanbags even. :(

Nice campground. Tight spot for a 45 foot coach but we fit. All the kids and families there for the Labor Day weekend made the camping experience extra special.

While most KOAs have small sites, the Hayward KOA is the tightest we've been to. Our fire ring was 5-6 feet away from our neighbors truck. Extremely small sites.

Our visit was very pleasant and the themed events are what will keep us coming back. We enjoyed the amenities but it was very clear the campground was only performing general maintenance for upkeep and no reinvestment or improvements.

Sites were super small. Many staff were rude. Super super crowded. The multiple wristband set up was irritating and seemed to be a pointless system. Accommodations were nice but likely wouldn't return.

Sites were a little narrow, we all felt cramped for the 4 days we were there. Activity for the little ones was good. Bathrooms were clean.

It was really disappointing to get a message the day we arrived that the waterslide wasn't going to be open that weekend. My entire family was looking forward to it. It seems like a lot of things got cancelled due to the weather but the weather wasn't even bad. I would not pay that much money to go back there.

We had a pleasant time at this KOA. We were fortunate to secure a nice grassy area away from most other campers making in quiet and relaxing. However, most of the camp spots are without any grass and are dusty. We believe the campground is over priced at greater than $60/ day. On a more positive note, this facility is one of the best to entertain children with a water-slide and more.

Campsites are way to close together. Barely enough room to open slides. Will not return to this campground. I love KOA but this one sucked.

The overall experience wasn't a great one. Staff doesn't seem to like their jobs. The older lady that worked in the afternoon was extremely disrespectful to guests and children in the store. Expensive camping trip when all the activities cost extra. Dump station is right by the pool and store so it smells rough in them areas often. I would rate it a 3 if the staff were a little more friendly.

We would not recommend this place. The spaces are very small. We have preteens and when we got there ,we were told the waterslide was closed for the weekend. We mainly booked it for the waterslide. Giant pillow was closed most of the weekend. All organized activities were cancelled as it sprinkled on and off. Very crowded. Not a happy camper. Pubic bathrooms were clean.

I didn’t realize that could pick my site. I would have picked a site away from up by the office and the playground.

Enjoyed our site #35 in the pines and not having campers right next to us - benefits of low season camping. Unique use of flowers w/canoes was very nice/welcoming. Highway noise was a lot lower than other KOA's we've stayed at which was a big plus. Definitely would stay at this KOA again in the fall. Thanks!
