Pros -very clean sites and bathrooms -liked having a dishwashing site -helpful staff -playgrounds and pool are well maintained Cons -bathrooms are not close to tent sites -sites are small

At first we had a site that was not level or suitable for our motorhome. The staff quickly gave us another site. The variety of accommodations and amenities makes this a great family experience. Our fellow campers were great. A long time staffer took the time to talk to us about the growth of this campground. Highly recommend!

First the people before us who used the campsite burned dirty diapers in fire pit. No one cleaned it. Then the septic was left disgusting was leaking every where.

We have stayed here before, the only thing I noticed this time was our cabin did not seem to be cleaned, the floors were dirty and there were a lot of cobwebs.

Stayed in glamping pocket, would do it again. Right on water a big plus. Many services and well kept. Will be back

This is my 5th time staying here. Love this place but I didn't like the cabins across the street where I was. To far from everything and if u rent a golf cart you cannot take it across the road so no point in renting one. Only other problem was when u flush the toilet u smell sewage outside on the patio right after. Other wise it was amazing. Hoping next year I get back to the other side. Thanks

Overall it was very good however the water was shut off when I was showering and thankfully I brought my phone with me and called the front desk they said it would be back on in about 10 minutes which turned into almost an hour! And also the pods do not actually lock. You just have to pull and the doors open even when locked.

One of the most relaxing places we have visited. The view from the deluxe cabin was incredible! We didn't get bored of it. The cabin actually had everything we could need during our stay and was super clean. The staff was also really nice and attentive. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everyone was very friendly! Charlie one of the workers was super kind and helpful! The water went out for a half a day though during the stay making the bathhouses inoperable.

The staff hospitality and the facilities exceeded our expectations. Our kids, ages 6, 10, and 14 LOVED our camping experience. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend KOA to anyone looking for camping, clamping, or cabin experiences! I can not say enough good things about our experience. We’re so happy we found you!

Great cabins. Great place for kids. Playground activities clean areas. Property well taken care off. Cool mining activities across the street. Fun place.

We stayed in the treehouse cabin and it was great! The kids loved staying in a “real” treehouse. It was nice to have activities for the kids to do every day and two playgrounds was a plus! Next time we want to try out the astrology cabin! We will be back in the future!

Everything was fantastic and the staff was super kind and the bathrooms were really clean. My only small comment is our cabin was full of cobwebs! I know it's camping, but going over the corners of the cabin when they're cleaning would have made a huge difference! Also the pool was a bit dirty but over all it was fantastic!

It was really quiet and calm at the tent site. I wish the bathrooms were closer to the tents though! All of the staff were incredibly nice, especially Harold. I did see a confederate flag up once and I remembered that your website said such things weren’t allowed. The next time I went by that space the flag was down, and I hope that was the camp making sure all of its guests feel safe. Thank you

To be honest, I don't know how you came up with the idea to have pull-in sites along the water. If you were going to limit them to class A,B&C, I can understand. I said what I had when I booked, so why you would put me in that site is beyond me. If we backed in, all the hookups and patio, that I paid for, are on the wrong side. If I pull in I can't unhook AND I'd be sticking out on the road. Dumb.

Beautiful campground. The only issue was campers checking out on Sunday morning using the site next to us as a dump station. Apparently, because the dump station was backed up with people waiting staff told them to use any open site. Not what you want to see while you are enjoying morning coffee. Also, both campers and staff used the empty site next to us as a cut-through with golf carts.

Campsites are tiny. Our tent site was almost completely sand. Quiet time was supposed to start at 10 but people were loud and blasting music until at least midnight. Bathrooms were FILTHY. Won’t be back to Herkimer KOA and not sure we will go to any KOA if this is how they are run.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our cottage was very nice but we were up by the diamond mines and next time would prefer to be down in the campground, closer to action. Crossing Route 28 each time isn’t fun. People drive way too fast through there!

Awful, up charged us for terrible site 121 without my approval.I had reservations for 6 months for site 6.Your company refused to make other patron move his camper (site6)and we got screwed. Your KOA ruined my family vacation due to your poor management and customer service. I will tell everyone I know how terrible my site and stay was. To top it off the pool was filthy.I would like a full refund.

What a great place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our site was right on the West Canada Creek and my 6 year old son had a blast tubing and getting his face painted. Definitely going to come back here again!

The staff was spot on, excellent service, helpful, friendly. The resort itself was busy but serviced well. There's so much to do...movie nights, big games, tubing (was a bit rough to exit and think there should be a shuttle system) pool (could use some updating but was refreshing). The mine was busy but the weather was against us...so hot during our stay! Will definitely return!

The tree roots directly in front of the cabin door caused us both to trip several times. The thorny shrubs are overgrown and not kind to bare legs. (Who plants a thorn Bush in a kid friendly environment?) the mini fridge was 1/2 the size expected. An outlet between beds would have been a lot better than behind the door. I do appreciate the refund for early departure.

You offered tubing sold the tube but have no life jacket on sale or available to use on the river. Two of my kids 10/7 almost drowned because of the deceptive nature of the river. Why not give out life jackets to save a life. My tripe was ruined.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
