Even though this time was for a Scout event, the campground is still clean and the staff is great. Wifi needs a little work, and having a restroom by the actual tent area would be a big improvement.

The bathrooms were the only complaint I heard from my group of 33 people. We went on Boy Scout weekend so that probably was the reason for dirty bathrooms. They were also out of paper towels when I used them. It would be helpful to have more than one urinal (and not so high off the ground). Anyone under 6' tall could not use the urinal. Build a platform for kids or lower the urinals.

Love this place! Ended up staying another night. The showers after digging all day are reason enough to stay here and you can’t touch the view. We will return every time we mine.

Very nice and very clean campsite! Staff is extremely helpful and very willing to assist in even the smallest details. Will definitely recommend and return!

The campground was lovely. The Diamond mine was fun. It would be nice to have Vegan snacks/ice cream or healthy options like salads and wraps at the snack bar or the camp store. All in all we had a really nice time and would recommend.

Wished there were bathrooms closer to creek side tent sites since most others have a restroom. The site was clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Only stayed one night but can't wait to go again for a longer stay! Friendly, helpful staff, quiet for sleeping, scenic river tent site and mining for the Herkimer diamond. Lovely campground.

Our stay was perfect. The tent site by the creek was peaceful and quiet, our neighbors were friendly and the camp was immaculate. We'll be back before Halloween!

We had a nice tent campout. There was no fire ring when we arrived, but the manager quickly delivered one. Shower facilities were very close to our campsite. It was very quiet at night despite being a busy holiday weekend with lots of campers.

My kids just love KOA campgrounds what with all the kids activities and just kids to play with in general. And if they love it than I'm happy too.

It was great experience. Especially for kids because they have plenty of activity for kids. Site were cleaned and nice playground. Some of their restroom were not cleaned properly and do not have paper towel.

Beautiful place! Could use bathrooms closer to the 90’s tent as the bathrooms are all right near the sites for campers. Also paper towels were never refilled for last 3 days.

I thought the staff was very nice I took my grandchildren I know last minute Adventure it was wonderful we had a campsite next to the river we will be back again this time we are going to stay a little bit longer and the children say thank you for letting us enjoy your Resort

The 3 nights we stayed there were fabulous!! The staff ,property and activities exceeded our expectations. I already recommended the campground to my friend who is now planning a stay in one of your cabins. We are going to make our reservations for next year as soon as we can. THANK YOU!!

We stayed right on the beautiful creek! It was fantastic! Site was clean and flat. Staff was so helpful and friendly! Only complaint would be that the pool was a bit dirty (a lot of bandaids).

Not the friendliest staff, tent sites are right on top on each other with no privacy at all. Bathrooms were super dirty and gross. Being on the river was the only redeeming quality.

All the bathrooms are by sites that have sewage hookups the tent sites are no where near a bathroom and can’t have a bathroom on the site. The sites are also stacked right on top of each other. And the map was not up to date. Ended up down a dead end road that was shown as a cut through on the map.

Pros -very clean sites and bathrooms -liked having a dishwashing site -helpful staff -playgrounds and pool are well maintained Cons -bathrooms are not close to tent sites -sites are small

The staff hospitality and the facilities exceeded our expectations. Our kids, ages 6, 10, and 14 LOVED our camping experience. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend KOA to anyone looking for camping, clamping, or cabin experiences! I can not say enough good things about our experience. We’re so happy we found you!

It was really quiet and calm at the tent site. I wish the bathrooms were closer to the tents though! All of the staff were incredibly nice, especially Harold. I did see a confederate flag up once and I remembered that your website said such things weren’t allowed. The next time I went by that space the flag was down, and I hope that was the camp making sure all of its guests feel safe. Thank you

Campsites are tiny. Our tent site was almost completely sand. Quiet time was supposed to start at 10 but people were loud and blasting music until at least midnight. Bathrooms were FILTHY. Won’t be back to Herkimer KOA and not sure we will go to any KOA if this is how they are run.

The staff was spot on, excellent service, helpful, friendly. The resort itself was busy but serviced well. There's so much to do...movie nights, big games, tubing (was a bit rough to exit and think there should be a shuttle system) pool (could use some updating but was refreshing). The mine was busy but the weather was against us...so hot during our stay! Will definitely return!

You offered tubing sold the tube but have no life jacket on sale or available to use on the river. Two of my kids 10/7 almost drowned because of the deceptive nature of the river. Why not give out life jackets to save a life. My tripe was ruined.

We had the best tent camping trip at Herkimer KOA! There was so much to do that our kids loved: tubing and playing in the river, giant chess, renting pedal carts, the pool, and biking the trails. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, and the activities were great. Don't miss the ice cream social and dance party!

The staff was amazing! But it was overcrowded, rules of not parking on the grass weren't followed, every time I said something to the staff they said they would take care of it but for the two nights that I spent there the car of my neighbor was parked on the grass and then a 2nd car parked next to it. I was a little disappointed! Other than that the bathrooms are clean and the stay was ok.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
