There was plenty to keep the kids busy. The day activities were nice. I think the tie-dying should be a little cheaper than 10 dollars per shirt. Especially for the younger kids. Other than that, it was pleasant (a couple cleaners not so friendly), but the large percentage of your crew were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again some time.

Although sites are fairly close together, the sites (we stayed in one of them) by the creek are very nice. After a storm, the West Canada Creek was flowing high, and resulted in a nice sound and sight. It was wonderful to have coffee in the morning, staring at the creek. Office staff were welcoming and friendly. This campground is also wonderful for kids, but that did not apply to us.

You should warn people when tubing becomes dangerous. My children and I almost drowned. We had never been to your campground before and was not away that the creek was at a dangerous level.

A beautiful campground! Well staffed with helpful employees. Everything is first rate there - the activities, the camp store, the bathrooms and although we didn’t avail ourselves all the activities having to do with the mining and education areas looked first rate too. The gravel sites are black coated and fairly level. The owner is visible on the grounds. It’s the best campground we’ve been

We absolutely loved it! The grounds are clean and beautifully landscaped. The employees are friendly and helpful. We've already booked for next year and are looking forward to it.

Too few bathrooms for the amount of campsites. Not only the bath house itself, but only two stalls. Bathrooms were quite dirty all the time with garbage overflowing. They should be cleaned more often for the amount of usage they get. Campsites very small

We had a great time. The cabin we stayed in was was very clean. Thought the staff did a great job cleaning the bathrooms given all the rain. The activity staff were friendly and professional. Did think that the KOA could have put signs up that the river was closed due to dangerous conditions so that people were aware.

We stayed 3 nights. Staff were all friendly, lots of activities. I liked how the tent sites were grass. Loved the counselor Joey, he was great! My complaints are getting bathrooms checked more often and river tubing. We saw people tubing the whole time, we tried it and went past exit of river. Kids were scared. More signs needed and the NYS note should be posted at the river entrance.

Clean bathrooms friendly staff. Only thing I would recommend is giving people better warning of high water when river is high watched many people not be able to get out or river when water was high

very nice facility. the staff is excellent, spoke with Alan several times, he is a great asset to the camp ground. he answered all of our questions, we reserved 3 spots for next year before we left on Sunday,,we were very impressed

The campground was very clean and well kept. They had lots of fun activities for the kids, but the staff were not always organized or timely. The sites were very small and over priced.

My only complaint is that there is no bathroom near the tent sites. The pavilion is not close and the Full Hook up sites both has bathrooms which make no sense seeing they have their own bathroom in their RV. I appreciated being allowed to move sites when they were calling for flash floods and I was next to the water.

Herkimer Diamond KOA is the nicest camp ground I’ve stayed at. Great amenities and very clean.

Had great help from Becka M getting reservations made for our party in 3 tent sites. We had 2 families out of 6 that had never camped out before, but everyone had a great time. We wanted this trip to be the payoff for our families raising funds for our Trail Life troop, and I honestly don't think it could have gone better. Al also helped straighten out a couple of minor billing corrections. THX!

Campgrounds were beautiful and well taken care of the only problem I had was how close the sites were together especially with how expensive it is to stay there. There was barely room to fit both of our cars but other then that everything was great!

This was the nicest campground I have ever stayed at. The grounds were beautiful and perfectly maintained , each site was very well equipped ( gas grill , fire ring, patio, and high end wrought iron table/umbrella), and all areas were completely immaculate. There were so many activities available on the property for young and old alike. Impressive choice of accommodations as well. Will be back.

Our son and family stayed in the Observatory cabin. It rained and they woke up to a flood in the main area of the cabin. They reported it and were assured this is a regular problem and they are trying to fix it. This has been going on for some time as the wood is water rotted on the inside. Also they paid for cable and never had it, this was also reported. A refund of some sort would be right.

spots are too narrow for large rv. laundry room has unusable washers and dryers. they have alot to do with the kids

It was an amazing vacation for my whole family. Quiet, fresh air, and peaceful mind area. I'm giving a 4 stars, because i believe restroom cleanliness still need to improve. Anyhow, thank you.

We have been going for the past six years to Herkimer diamond KOA. It is our favorite place to go the amenities are over the top the staff is friendly and helpful in the owner Renee is amazing with amazing customer service. Starting last year we have increased our visits to 2 visits a year! Every year we come back and there’s something new to do or see. We absolutely love this place!

We had a great time! All the staff was helpful and friendly. The young man leading Bingo and the candy hunt was especially AWESOME! Two areas that could be improved: -Cleaner restrooms - Communication about tubing- Is it safe? Not safe? The river was closed by the DEC Saturday and Sunday. We felt that the campground could have done a better job at telling the guests this information.

This was our 1st family camping trip. We had a blast at the mines for the 2 days we stayed. The campground was immaculate, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the river was relaxing. Our 9 year old loved it so much she cried when we had to leave. I’m sure we will be back soon. Thank you for an amazing stay! Next time it will be longer than 2 nights! Rock on Herkimer!

Everything was great, despite the rain the first day and a half. Our only complaint is with the dumping station. It's very difficult to fully empty the tanks with the set up the way it is (on a hill). On longer trailers (ours is 27 feet) the tank is lower than the dumping station.

Our stay was great, however questionable if the cabin was cleaned prior to arrival as there was a half eaten bag on pretzals on the kitchen table. Also, it should be mentioned that the second bedroom has bunkbeds, when stating 4 adults will be coming. Other than that we were extremely please with the Astronomy Lodge and will be back!

Our cabin had a massive water leak in the main living area. There were several thunderstorms during our stay and the living room was flooded twice. Staff tried to address the problem but it essentially went unfixed. There was no cable for our stay. The only thing they were able to fix was giving us a new coffee maker. I paid a lot of money to have an underwhelming experience.

Our first site was flooded and mud hole Moved to a new site with patio it was dry No cable entire stay No ice available was empty Bathrooms were wet and muddy unclean KOA Diamond mine charge a fee everyday during your stay if you want to mine, why not offer multi stay discounts? Gets costly We did enjoy searching for Herkimer diamonds was a lot of fun. We see Herkimer KOA $$ tourist trap.

My son and I enjoyed our stay . The only thing I would suggest is putting screen doors on the restrooms to keep the bugs out .

4 consecutive years, conditions continue to worsen. Site was not cleaned, contained scattered paper, and was littered with cigarette butts. Men's room bathroom stall had a wad of toilet paper covered in feces, that remained there almost 2 days before being cleaned. Personally notified employees 3 times, and no one cared. Our group of 3 sites did not rebook for next year. Will go elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA. We love the property with lots of outside things to do. My children really enjoy the creek and mining. It is nice that they can ride bikes and have lots of areas to play. We have met a number of other families there who come back year after year like we do because it is such a great place to camp with children.

We enjoyed the experience. One employee had great suggestions for extra activities. We explored the mining site. We also went to Howe Caverns based on the suggestion. Thank you for a great stay.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
