We have stayed at the KOA for years. However, this time there were several issues. At the Aries Astrology lodge the bedroom TV wouldn't work at all. The living room TV wouldn't get any internet and any images just glitched. A person did come but it was not resolved. The toilet ran constantly, the pull out sofa had VERY dirty soiled sheets and the telescope never worked even after someone came.

This is a beautiful campground with many family activities. The restaurant food is excellent. The creek nearby adds beauty to the scenery.

Wished there were bathrooms closer to creek side tent sites since most others have a restroom. The site was clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Just an overnight visit but we loved the camp and especially our camp site which was by the river. We will be back.

Rented one of the deluxe cabins. Love the porch. Pros: Grounds are lovely. We enjoy being on the river and close proximity to the mines is great. Cons: the wifi is unreliable, hot water wasn't really hot, and cooking in the tiny cabin kitchen was interesting. All in all we had a good time.

Could have had sheets with less stains. One burner on grill was out. Need new shower head. Sofa bed was hard to open and close and so uncomfortable slept on the floor. But would definitely come back. Beautiful location! Amazing campfire next to river!!!

It was very nice. We were only there overnight, but the entire grounds were clean and well-kept. The sites were spacious and level. The staff were great!

Great staff! Loved my conversations with many staff members. This is our second visit that this campground. We already have another stay booked for next year. We live somewhat local. Herkimer KOA will be our new local campground.

Great campground with so many activities offered. I only wish we were staying longer. We did get to enjoy the ice cream social and free movie night. The Diamond mines across the street were awesome, but harder work than I had imagined. Much fun, though and we did find diamonds. The grandchildren loved it!

Cabin was clean, quiet, comfortable. Beautiful views. Porch swing on the cabin was an unexpected treat. Restrooms and bathhouse were well-kept and well supplied. Hot water in the shower! Dishwashing area with sink, hot water, and detergent. Very well thought-out.

This was our first KOA stay. Our house the solar 2 was nice but pictures looked different online. I did not know it was a crawl space to the loft and two mattresses on the floor. Luckily I have two small kids that were going to be up there but it was very hard for me to get in and out. Also the sofa bed is a futon, while we were fine with that, some might not be.

Great campground! Friendly staff.. But the paid high speed internet isn't worth it and the free low speed internet is useless.

Our cabin was smelly, we rented linens and were flat sheets not even proper size for 1 of our beds. We had 3 blankets that would have been much more suited for summer sleeping it was in the 40s overnight and we froze. Our neighbors were very loud past quiet hour . We booked the weekend for our anniversary and there was no notice of the restaurant being closed we didn't even bring food to cook.

Excellent Campground. Very well maintained. Standard Wi-Fi is practically unusable. Upgraded High Speed Wi-Fi $12 for 3 days worked good.

all koa's should take note: Herkimer knows how to do a campground! and their help are awsome! great setting on the canada river, clean, easy sights, a halfway point for us from cleveland to the coast.can't say enough.thanks to all!

Loved the outdoors atmosphere & location, along with the wild turkey visit behind the lodge. The quick check in was convenient. I hope you have a safe and good fall season.

Campsites are very crowded and poorly laid out, they clearly just want to make as much money as possible. Our slide out was an inch from our neighbors slide out, we had the worst time backing in and pulling out. If they just eliminated a few sites and spaced them out it would’ve been nice way better.

We love all KOAs. The best thing about it is the friendly staff (we have seen some awful staff in non KOA camps). One thing I would improve in this particular campground is that there was just one bathroom close to where we were and it was not that close! It had just 2 toilet stalls and 3 showers (one of the showers was basically a trickle with no pressure). So sometimes the wait was a bit high.

Cool place. More privacy between sites would have really put the experience at a new level (hedges between RV sites for example), but it was super clean and hassle free.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
