Awesome is about the best way to describe this KOA. We only wish we had planned more than one night. Got kids? This is definitely a place for families and the trip to the mines across the street make it even more exciting. This is a must do for the future with our grandson.

It was our first time staying at the campground, with the exception of receiving the wrong brochure for the activities (times for events were wrong so we missed a few), our stay was very enjoyable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The overall experience was relaxing and accommodating, and being dog friendly was very important to us. We've already booked a return trip to the camp! ty!

Best campground we have stayed at yet!! We loved! We only wish they had seasonal sites because we absolutely would have done that!

We've been camping here with a large group for at least 10 years and have never had any issues. The recent 25.00 fee to reserve a "specific" site is completely unnecessary and just another way for the campground to make money. The wifi is incredibly slow as well and the fee to "upgrade" is ridiculous.

Great staff. Well maintained property. Wish pool was heated. Also stayed in Cesar Palace, but our little dog was unable to use fenced in area because she wall right through the fence. Also would have liked to tube, but exit from creek was too rocky for little old people. Entrance look good. Overall, great experience!

Easy check in, room to maneuver a big rig towing, nice facility. A couple of the trees could use trimming in the pull through area for bigger RVs.

Friendly attentive staff - please fix disc golf course to be a true 9 hole course (go across road) - pool is unusable because its not heated- would be great ro have at least "1" pickle ball/ tennis court on site- more activities for kids

For a resort, WiFi is weak at best. Also the $25.00 to reserve a specific site for the following year is a bit much. Learn from other Resorts, my site should be mine until I check out and I should have first dibs on reserving it for the next year, if I leave and don’t reserve, then that’s on me.

We have been camping there for 16 years, the last few have been rough but this year the staff knocked it out of the park. They were friendly, helpful and made us feel important. As campers were leaving on Monday, a storm went through, the staff checked on us and were very attentive. Welcome back Herkimer KOA!

It was the best ever. So much to do. The kids were busy all the time. The outfit that was brought in to do the prospector weekend did a fantastic job. The kids loved it. The campground employees could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Looking forward to next year. Way to go HERKIMER DIAMOND KOA!!

We loved out spot along the river! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The spots are a bit tight in certain areas, which had our neighbors pretty close to us, but still an enjoyable trip.

Stay was good except the fact that they allow campers in after 9pm. The worst of it is that they spend 3 hours setting up while you are trying to sleep....this has happened during our last 2 visits.

Not one employee bothered to help us when micro tornado hit the parking lot where trees came crashing down around us My kids were hiding in a bathroom stall waiting for help No help came Disappointed no one cared snug to get us out of harms way Blogging this

We had a nice tent campout. There was no fire ring when we arrived, but the manager quickly delivered one. Shower facilities were very close to our campsite. It was very quiet at night despite being a busy holiday weekend with lots of campers.

The Glamping Pods were exactly as advertised, and super cute! The view of the creek right outside the door is a huge plus, and I love that we got our own fire pit! The staff were very nice and accommodating and I will definitely be back.

We stayed at Herkimer last year with our RV and found no problems. This year we stayed in a cabin and found the experience very disappointing. The hot water system was confusing and while it may be efficient, it is very water-wasteful! The toilet needed to be adjusted as well since it leaked. I also felt that the cabin was not as clean as it should have been (floors) . The A/C filters were dirty

It was the first time we have ever stayed in a cabin this close to the end of the season. We were not impressed with cleanliness of the cabin especially the comforter. There was obvious evidence that it did not get regularly washed. Switches were broken, light bulbs blown, crumbs , wrappers and cobwebs present and prominent. As usual staff was excellent. Kids programming could have been better.

We had a great stay at the Herkimer KOA. We stayed in one of the new glamper pods and it was a great experience. Very clean and staff was super friendly. I didn't realize you could just go tubing on your own. We have little kids (who are beginnger swimmers) and would have needed a life jacket to go tubing. We weren't able to go tubing.

The stay was wonderful for Labor Day weekend- activities for children all weekend, dining at Miner’s Table across the street was delicious! We had breakfast at the cafe at the diamond mine, also very good! Alex, the manager was so helpful when shopping for diamonds and the girls at the front desk at the KOA helped us lock in our stay for next year. This is one of the best KOA’s!

Bathroom was always dirty. Lawn was mowed but cut grass not picked up near cabin. Staff was hardly seen. 10pm quiet rule not enforced. I have I have camped here several times. Never had any of these issues before.

There was a mini tornado that came into the campground and scared the life out of my family. It did a lot of damage to glam 1 and the people were scared. My kids were terrified and hid in a stall in the bathroom, but there was no staff that came out to help any of us. I was in my car the entire time watching two huge tree falls around my car, and no one even came out to help us.

We had the most wonderful weekend staycation. It was a first time in the area. It was wonderful that the resort offers so much fun activities, a restaurant and cafe.

We enjoyed the river, finding diamonds, fishing and the cozy accommodations on the camp grounds. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that would have made the stay better would be if there was a more comfortable mattress in our cabin. Me and my husband couldn't sleep well and woke up with stiff backs. Other than that I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
