A wet but great stay. Haven’t been in a couple of years and was amazed how wonderful everything was. The entire facility looks great. The personnel all friendly and helpful. First time in a Clamping Pocket. It was very comfortable from top to bottom. Next time we want a cabin on the water.

A little puffed off when the owner parked in driveway to our handicapped cabin. Air conditioning a bit wimpy. Definitely need more lighting . But everything else was great. Suspicious activity going on in vacant DK5 by employees in golf carts. Several going in for 3-5 mins, not cleaning. One individual came out with drastic changes to actions. We all suspected a drug stop.

Amazing people and an amazing setting. Everything was perfect. We had some bad weather that took a tree down, and they had it cleaned up so fast! We stayed in a cabin- amazing. The creek was high so no tubing, but we found more diamonds on the shore than in the mines!

We stayed in the treehouse and was definitely worth it! Our son absolutely loved it and thought that it was the coolest thing! There was a lot to do within the campsite and at the diamond mine. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Cabin floor was very dirty. Bathroom was dirty(hair in sink, water in toilet stall). It was cleaner in the morning

Queen bed reserved, only a double bed in GP2, one of us 2 slept on floor. Downspouts on store complex building were blocked, torrents of water blocking walkways, and ladies room entry. Bathrooms near pool FILTHY, men’s shower drain floods in use. Tractor trailer touring campground very late, chainsaws and chippers and weed trimmer early. People walking thru our site. Barking dog next door.

This was my sixth h time going to this camp site and was by far the worst time spent. Five families go to spend the week and everything was a mess. We rented a space by the River so we could have access from the grounds to find out it was double booked. Some houses ACs were not working for the second year in a row. None of the televisions worked in any of the units. The Sat DJ was a no show.

We have been coming for over 10 years and always have a great time. The only complaint we have is the parking. It’s hard to carry all of your coolers and gear the length of 4 cabins. We used to be able to pull up to our site. This is not convenient at all.

We stayed at cabin 3 again this year. When we arrived we had no water. But it was fixed fast. The only thing is that the cabin is old. The chairs and futon r old and stained. Maybe they could be replaced. The staff is always courteous �

As always this is a 10 star KOA. Even with heavy rains, we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very cozy. Sunday breakfast was outstanding - hats off to the chef and staff. Thank You Renee!!

We have been coming to this KOA for over 35 years. It is the best!! Renee has addressed every single item to ensure everyone has a wonderful time. No detail has been over looked. Her staff is wonderful and attentive. I also appreciate that many of the cabins are accessible for individuals with special needs. We will continue to return for another 35 years!

Nice campground with friendly staff and a lot of fun activities for kids. We were, however, disappointed in our deluxe cabin. Everything was very outdated; beds and sofa were uncomfortable. TV only had 4 channels and only one burner on the stove worked. There were also a lot of bugs in the cabin, including in and around the beds which wasn’t pleasant. Overall not worth the $200+ a night.

It was nice the grounds were clean, the cabins were comfortable. Staff was pleasant. I liked that there were unique cabins and accommodations for pets and bigger kids. I would like to see more appropriate play equipment for toddlers,1-3. We had a 1yr old, there was very little for him to play on safely. A fenced area with benches for parents to take a break from chasing would be welcome.

We had a great time and will be back. Our only complaints are that the bathrooms need cleaned more frequently and the provided grill was full of water and unusable.

We had a good stay woodshed the weather was better. The only issue we had was when the kids decorated their bikes to go in parade and the guy driving the tractor �went really fast for 3 & 5 year old. ��‍�����‍��� We wished he would have slowed his pace down. ��

The staff was helpful and accommodating. The only thing that could have used more attention was the bathrooms. It was rainy most of our visit so mud was tracked everywhere. We visited every bathroom and ran into the same problem.

There was plenty to keep the kids busy. The day activities were nice. I think the tie-dying should be a little cheaper than 10 dollars per shirt. Especially for the younger kids. Other than that, it was pleasant (a couple cleaners not so friendly), but the large percentage of your crew were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again some time.

We had a great time. The cabin we stayed in was was very clean. Thought the staff did a great job cleaning the bathrooms given all the rain. The activity staff were friendly and professional. Did think that the KOA could have put signs up that the river was closed due to dangerous conditions so that people were aware.

It was an amazing vacation for my whole family. Quiet, fresh air, and peaceful mind area. I'm giving a 4 stars, because i believe restroom cleanliness still need to improve. Anyhow, thank you.

We have been going for the past six years to Herkimer diamond KOA. It is our favorite place to go the amenities are over the top the staff is friendly and helpful in the owner Renee is amazing with amazing customer service. Starting last year we have increased our visits to 2 visits a year! Every year we come back and there’s something new to do or see. We absolutely love this place!

We had a great time! All the staff was helpful and friendly. The young man leading Bingo and the candy hunt was especially AWESOME! Two areas that could be improved: -Cleaner restrooms - Communication about tubing- Is it safe? Not safe? The river was closed by the DEC Saturday and Sunday. We felt that the campground could have done a better job at telling the guests this information.

Our stay was great, however questionable if the cabin was cleaned prior to arrival as there was a half eaten bag on pretzals on the kitchen table. Also, it should be mentioned that the second bedroom has bunkbeds, when stating 4 adults will be coming. Other than that we were extremely please with the Astronomy Lodge and will be back!

Our cabin had a massive water leak in the main living area. There were several thunderstorms during our stay and the living room was flooded twice. Staff tried to address the problem but it essentially went unfixed. There was no cable for our stay. The only thing they were able to fix was giving us a new coffee maker. I paid a lot of money to have an underwhelming experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA. We love the property with lots of outside things to do. My children really enjoy the creek and mining. It is nice that they can ride bikes and have lots of areas to play. We have met a number of other families there who come back year after year like we do because it is such a great place to camp with children.

We enjoyed the experience. One employee had great suggestions for extra activities. We explored the mining site. We also went to Howe Caverns based on the suggestion. Thank you for a great stay.

We loved the kids activities and staff; Caroline did an exceptional job and our 4 year old loved her. Sadly, our trip was cut short because our cabin's roof started to leak all over our beds. We were forced to move into a family member's RV in the middle of the night because of the leak. We weren't offered a refund or discount. We paid $101/night to not be able to use our cabin. So unfortunate.

We were very impressed and look forward to staying again! Items to address in Kabin 15- The screen door had large gaps letting bugs in so we could not leave the solid door open on a hot night. -There were two "wasps" in the cabin when we arrived which we killed. We noticed remnants of nests in the eves of the porch. -There were a LOT of spider nests behind and under the full sized bed.

Staff in office is very rude and not very customer friendly. Booked sites and cabins out from under us and others continually lieing about change in policy and then blamed KOA corp as one who set policy. Asked for policy told online then in paperwork we were given, couldn't produce when asked. When spoke to owner she again blamed policy on KOA Corp. They don't even follow the "Policy" they claimed

We had a great stay! The campground is very clean, the cabin we stayed in was cleaned and ready when we arrived. Showers and bathrooms were kept clean and in working order. Many outdoor activities for the kids, and adults, to enjoy. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

Fun and stress free, cabin had everything we needed. although we went to pool too late, sunday hr. not on pamphlet or pool sign. But went tubing. Enjoyed cabin, worth the cost. Staff super helpful and friendly. Wish we had more time. Planning another stay as soon as we can.

As always, a great experience for us. We enjoyed our stay. Cabin was nicely cleaned and we love the fact that the campgrounds are both family and doggie friendly.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
