The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff is a crap shoot: some staff were super friendly and responsive and some staff were downright rude and obnoxious. I would recommend a stay at a KOA just maybe not this one (until they hire new staff)

We had such a great time. I wish we had stayed longer. My kids are 16, 14 & 12 there was something for each of them. The campground was clean, staff was very friendly. We stayed in SL3 the cabin was clean, so cute and unique. We would definitely go back.

We stayed 3 nights with our 10 and 12 year old children in a deluxe cabin. We all had an amazing time and would recommend the experience to anyone. Mining was a lot of fun and we found a bunch of diamonds. The cabins and bathrooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We will be going back again some day.

OMG my family and I had the best time. The staff is very Friendly and we give team member Harold an A+. The grounds are so clean and the lodges are a must. My family stayed in the Windmill Lodge, the Tree House and Solar #1. We were not disappointed. I will be joining the KOA awards program because going back is a must. All the staff were Knowledgeable and helpful. The kids loved it.

Our family had a great time. The view of the water from our cabin was beautiful. Our kids had plenty of activities to keep them busy all weekend, they are already asking when we can come back!

Very enjoyable stay at the campsite cabins for 3 days. Grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. Diamond mine was a blast. Miner's table was a fantastic restaurant our cudos to the chef and all the staff.

Last time we stayed it was great. This time we didn’t get a list of activities until our stay was almost over. The kids were bummed and it really put a damper on things.

Our grandchildren loved the mining and making s’mores at the fire pit. We also enjoyed eating at The Miner’s Table. The staff at all places were incredibly helpful and friendly. The cabins need some updates and better futons.

A/c was not working but they brought over a window unit. The morning we left there was no hot water. The kt1 pet friendly unit had hair bundles and old spider web in bathroom. I never saw the cleaning crew with mops or vacuum. The kt2 had a sewer backup and another had one the day before. The markings on the shuffleboard field was non existent. The kid cutting the grass thinks it’s a race car.

In my recent review I noted the negatives. On the positive side the pool and River were good. The grounds , rv , tent and cabin rentals are nice and I would recommend staying.

we had a blast and I loved the fact that you guys had SO MANY activities for the kids! However, a few things I was very disappointed in. For the size of the tree house, the price is a little ridiculous, pictures are deceiving. Second, store needs more help, wait time for anything was crazy, lastly, check in for tree was 3:00, we got there at 4:30, wasn't ready...…...need I say more?

Our family had the most wonderful time making the best memories. The cabin was so clean and perfect. The Miner’s table was a fabulous experience. The food was beyond delicious. Huge portions. Great friendly service. We are so impressed with Dr. Renee- how personable and approachable she is. We mined and found beautiful herkimers in the mine. It was a great time. We loved it. We will be back.

As a family we try to come here once a year. We always have a wonderful stay. The deluxe cabins are beautiful, clean and well stocked. My 5 year old loves being able to play in the creek and smash rocks to his little hearts content. My son even left his beloved stuffed animals in the cabin by accident and they offered to mail them to us because we live over 3 hours away!

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights in the Treehouse. Very nice, quiet and comfortable. A little on the small side. Unfortunately there were ants inside near the kitchen. All in all it was a good time.

We stayed in one of the “luxury” cabins on the water. Nearly $400 for two nights. For this amount of money, a customer should reasonably expect blinds that work, reliable WiFi, comfortable sofa, etc. If you are going to charge as much as that, the service and amenities should match it.

Loved the creek running through the back of the camps, the tubing was super fun, the staff is super friendly!!! So beautiful and peaceful! Only thing that I didn’t d not like about our cabin was the fact the sofa bed was flat, dirty, and was at a slant. So I just slept on the couch. That didn’t ruin my trip. It was perfect!

I don’t do camping AT ALL but wanted to try it out with some close friends with my kids.. what a great trip awesome place for kids to play. Has a blast looking for diamonds, felt safe and it was clean. Not one bug bite!!! Pleaseanly suurpirused at how much fun we had

We have come here for many years and will keep coming back from anymore. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean. We tried the new clamping pod this year and it was adorable. We’ve Stayed in tents and in both astronomy cabins in the past and have had an equally wonderful stay no matter how we stayed. We appreciate all of you at the Herkimer KOA! ��

Everything was great. We stayed in Solar 1 and loved it. The WiFi however was awful. It rained a lot when we were there and I wanted to put a movie on the iPad for the kids. There was NO signal in the cabin. It would not connect at all.

Roof leaked, refrigerator didn't work, and door locks were problematic... Otherwise, it was a decent stay. Staff was friendly and cordial. Upgrading or replacing older cabins would go a long ways in my opinion.

The only reason I did not give a recommendation of 10 & a five star rating was upon entering the cottage, an obviously used towel was hanging in the bedroom and there were pubic & long hairs visible on the toilet seat. I informed the office, they apologized & offered to clean, but I had already taken care of it. Other than that, we were exceptionally pleased. Everyone was helpful & friendly.

We had such a great time staying in the deluxe cabins, it was quiet and peaceful. We can’t wait to come back and explore the campground and it’s activities even more!

My stay was enjoyable but having to walk in the middle of the night to use the bathroom that wasn’t in close proximity was not enjoyable. I recommend more bathrooms or even portapots

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
