It was an awesome campground. Only complaint was there was only one shower for the tent campers and it was under construction, but the showers across the field were great.

A few things that could be better. 1. Toilet sanitizer in bathrooms 2. A stepstool, or a shorter sink for kids to wash hands. 3. A more spacious bathroom for bathing kids

Quick overnight last minute stay. A little pricey. Clean campground. Bought tubes to go down creek. AFTER purchasing was told it wasn't recommended on that particular day and that I couldn't return the tubes. Literally 10 seconds after transaction. Bathroom was not very clean. Pool was freezing cold even though it was 80 degrees out.

Great time. Had a lot of fun getting to know the staff, doing activities, tubing in the river, and of course mining for the herkimer diamonds!

The staff was amazing three really stuck out for us Harold Chris B and Chris W they were so helpful and just went above and beyond the only bad thing I will say is the pizza from the miners table was so bad I threw out a whole pizza but besides that my family had a great time and will be going back very soon.

We had such a blast! Such a great, fun place for the family! The only thing we didn't totally like is the camp sites are very close together and the site we had was rocky. But that's easy to get passed! I highly recommend adding this to the list of family trips to take!!

First bathroom for tenters was way to far of a walk and were not clean. We had other campers walking thru our site and siting at water. We paid for a water site so they should not do that.

Rude neighbors walking through our site and loud during quiet times. Bathrooms are too far away from our site and weren't very clean. It does make sense to have Bathrooms near the RVs in which most of them have their own bathroom in them and have them so far away from the tent sites!

We stayed 3 nights. Staff were all friendly, lots of activities. I liked how the tent sites were grass. Loved the counselor Joey, he was great! My complaints are getting bathrooms checked more often and river tubing. We saw people tubing the whole time, we tried it and went past exit of river. Kids were scared. More signs needed and the NYS note should be posted at the river entrance.

My only complaint is that there is no bathroom near the tent sites. The pavilion is not close and the Full Hook up sites both has bathrooms which make no sense seeing they have their own bathroom in their RV. I appreciated being allowed to move sites when they were calling for flash floods and I was next to the water.

Had great help from Becka M getting reservations made for our party in 3 tent sites. We had 2 families out of 6 that had never camped out before, but everyone had a great time. We wanted this trip to be the payoff for our families raising funds for our Trail Life troop, and I honestly don't think it could have gone better. Al also helped straighten out a couple of minor billing corrections. THX!

This was our 1st family camping trip. We had a blast at the mines for the 2 days we stayed. The campground was immaculate, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the river was relaxing. Our 9 year old loved it so much she cried when we had to leave. I’m sure we will be back soon. Thank you for an amazing stay! Next time it will be longer than 2 nights! Rock on Herkimer!

4 consecutive years, conditions continue to worsen. Site was not cleaned, contained scattered paper, and was littered with cigarette butts. Men's room bathroom stall had a wad of toilet paper covered in feces, that remained there almost 2 days before being cleaned. Personally notified employees 3 times, and no one cared. Our group of 3 sites did not rebook for next year. Will go elsewhere.

Our tent sites were in a wet area and it rained heavy we had a stream coming through our sites everything got soaked and they did nothing for us

We paid in full in advance of our arrival for a site with water and electric hookups, but were told upon pre-reg they didn't have any available, We had to stay Thursday at one spot, then move to another for Friday and Saturday nights. We found out from another group of "returning" campers the same happened to them. Nevertheless, the staff was gracious, accommodating, and helpful. Great place!

We had a wonderful time at the koa diamond resort. We tent camped for 3 days, swam, found Crystals or "diamonds" , rented peddle bikes and golf cart. My whole family loved it!

We had a great time camping with our young children in a tent for the first time. I hope that in the future we can request to not tent camp next to someone with dogs. My husband was bit in the leg. You had a lot of fun things to do to keep us busy. We want to bring water tubes with us in the future to float down the river. Nice clean camping area, liked the camping area we were assigned to (T116).

Our stay at Herkimer KOA far exceeded our expectations. The campground it’s self was clean and well maintained. The bathroom were great. My husband and I had a great stay. We will definitely stay again and encourage others to visit as well.

Pavilion showers were a joke. Built for a small child. Even my children had to stoop to shower! Pavilion bathrooms were also filthy with dried dirt on floors and walls. Otherwise, a great stay. I’d suggest mentioning to tall guests staying at the far end of the park that there are much better facilities by the pool...which we didn’t find out until the end of our stay.

Very family friendly, loved the different cabin themes there such as treehouse and solar. Nice campground with river close by. Lots to see and do in area, especially the diamond mine next door.

Firepit was full of ashes from previous campers, grill was filthy dirty and some of the employees not very friendly. We did have a nice tent site next to the creek.

We had a quick one night stay and liked the deluxe tent site. We look forward to returning for a longer stay so that we have more time to relax and enjoy the activities.

Communal bathrooms were dirty. Person who escorted us to our tent site didn't know the site boundaries, and told us our site was half the size that it was. The pool was also dirty (water was cloudy and bugs and other stuff were not skimming properly).

We will never come back because of how the campground handled a mess up on their end. We were escorted to our site the day we arrived, and then 3 days later they said we were in the wrong spot and had to move (in the rain). We were told “we had a good attitude and that helps everything” no apology. We also weren’t shown the correct site, just pointed and said “down there”. Very unprofess

I would have all nice things to say minus the fact there wasn’t an after-hours # to call. Campsite next to us partied until after midnight. Music blasting. I asked 3 times between 11:15p-12a to turn it down. To top it off the same family woke us up @ 6:30a. We did 11 hours of herk hounding the first day & had another full day to come. Sleep was essential & I didn’t get it. It’s not a party r

The staff was the most helpful friendly and polite, that you don't always get these days. The one thing that would have made our stay better was quiet hours. We did not see it posted anywhere but had some noisy neighbors after 10 when we were trying to settle down.the campsite was very clean. The showers could use some more hooks or shelves to hang things while you shower.

I love this place and definitely coming back within the near future, breaking rocks open is very satisfying and you possibly can get a nice reward like quarts or herkimer diamond and many more, one reccomend thought wear long sleeves long pants or shirts so bits of rock dosent hurt at all also reccomend gloves they help with also the rocks fly at you and they lower the chances of you getting a blister, in all do I recommend this place, very much so (PS:bring equipment such as mallets and plastic protection glass also like a small zip lock if you fine something you like)
