Very pleasant stay while visiting relatives that live in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had a question. I would recommend this campground.

They had the most excellent shower house, the perfect pool, wonderful shade trees, and great customer service! We hope to come back again.

Site was level and all hook ups worked. Pool is very nice. The gentlemen running the place were helpful and made you feel welcome. Lots of trees for shade. I will definitely stay again.

The campground was very clean and well taken care of! When we arrived it was a quick check in process and then they lead you right to your campsite! Loved the pool and the mini golf too! Would definitely recommend this campground!

We booked reservation oline. We pulled in fairly late, about 7pm. The office was opened, the gentlemen were very nice,. They lead you to your campsite, wait to see you parked. The sites are spacious, not overly packed on top off each other. When left the next morning all three gentlemen were outside the office and greeted and waved.

The place was cute, but small. The sites were really close. Works just fine for a place to stay when visiting the area.

Stay was fine. The sites were too narrow and the grounds were not kept very nice. All sites need mowing. All of the hook ups were spread too far apart. This camp needs some updating.

We are from Georgia and loved the KOA in Mitchell We were just passing thru and only stayed one night but we thought it was so peaceful and quiet!!

Very nice campground. The pool, laundry, the especially the awesome showers were exactly what we needed when stopping halfway home from Mount Rushmore.

Clean and nice bathrooms, cabin is prepared and cooled for arrival. A little loud in morning from road traffic.

Nice park. Only downside is that lots are very close together and there is a lot of highway noise.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You need to take in consideration that this is a 60 year old campground, fifth wheels and slides hadn't even been thought about then, and about the longest camper on the road then was about 30 foot and those were very rare.

We had a blast in Mitchell. They have a nice sized pool, free mini golf and a playground. Jim and Jerry were very helpful since we have NO camping experience. My kids asked if we could come back next summer and just stay there, and not go to Rapid City. It was very relaxing! We would absolutely stay here again!

Campground was okay, but main guy in charge was not very friendly. The campsite was clean-ish. The showers were very clean though!

The was very friendly and helpful. Nice pads and driveways!! Didn’t use the central shower, not sure how it looks. According to the grandkids, the pool was fantastic! The mini golf needs some attention, brick edging is loose in places, some of the putters could be re-gripped (a simple fix).

It is a beautiful camping area surrounded by lilac bushes. We stayed one night in a camping cabin that was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. In the morning they gave us breakfast restaurant suggestions. Also, the ladies bathroom has beautiful sinks and mirrors that really add a special touch. I would definitely go there again and hopefully stay longer. :)

Our campsite was a little small, and no real parking spot for our truck, but otherwise a nice campground. Bathrooms were nice and several things for kids to do.

Very clean, host and employees were very friendly. We loved all the large maple trees throughout the campground, very nice place. Will definitely stay again!!!

Rolled in yesterday. Got a large pull thru site. Beautiful campgrounds! Well kept, clean, leaves are changing. Several tornado shelters around camp. Met some other people here pheasant hunting too. Large wind turbine and it never stops! So yes it's always windy here. They even have a Tesla charger for electric vehicles!
