We enjoyed the Mitchell campground for three nights while visiting relatives in Sioux Falls. Loved the big trees and the super clean facilities! Very reasonably priced too which is why we stayed there instead of Sioux Falls.

Nice place and very clean. It was a good stay. Their selection in their store was very limited. Employees were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice lay out. Quick sign in and staff led me to my site with golf cart. Well kept grounds. Protected campsite with trees all around. Well marked amenities. Easy to see staff pays attention to detail.

Nice KOA. Well kept. Clean. Grass and trees. Nice Pool. Laundry, little tired but clean. 2 nice dog kennels, 1 for small dogs, 1 for large dogs. Pleasant staff No cable. WiFi worked well (ours is Verizon).

We were there for 1 night. It was a nice campground and the staff were friendly. The sites were a little narrow for RVs but it was okay for one night.

I stayed in one of the Kabins for the week of Dakotafest. The room was very clean and they had the AC running for me before I even got there. The bathroom/showers were extremely clean and stocked. I stopped at the camp store a couple of times and even though they were low on normal stock from other issues, they had everything I needed. Great place to stay. I didnt try the pool or mini golf

I had really good memories of the Mitchell KOA from years ago. It’s still pretty nice but unfortunately the caretakers are letting their political views show which is unseemly. Also in the midst of the pandemic they don’t seem to be taking any precautions to protect themselves or their guests. I was sad to see that.

Most RV's have electrical hook ups near the rear of the unit. This KOA had electrical connection box in the middle of the camping site. This made it hard to connect to electrical box.

Great stop along the 90 corridor! Trees in an otherwise farmland landscape were nice to have. Bathrooms were amazing and the kids enjoyed the pool.

At the prices for camping as we are traveling, it is disappointing when the KOA store on site charges a handling fee on purchases from the store when using a credit card.

Campground is run down. No longer as nice as it once was. Pool had agile in it. Table on our site had rotten wood. Not safe to sit on. When registering we did not have our rewards number handy. Unkowning at the time they charged us $5 to look it up.

The pool has never had algae in it, yes one board on that picnic table is bad on one end, and the charge was only a $1.00 not $5.00 like you are telling every one, your attitude caused price changes remember that.

We stop and stay here every year on our way to and from Sturgis. It’s our favorite KOA Jim and Jerry do a great job!

One of the best campgrounds I’ve stayed at! The bathrooms are phenomenal!! Total spa treatment with the rain shower heads! Can’t wait to stay again! Thank you Jim & team!!

We really enjoyed our experience. The camp was clean and very peaceful. I loved the pool. It was fun visiting with our neighbors and the owners. We appreciate all the hard work that goes with keeping up such a spacious camp ground. Very conveniently located to Mitchell which made it easy to check out all the wonderful things that Mitchell had to offer. We look forward to returning “someday “

Very clean and great bathrooms - looks like they were recently remodeled - ceramic painted sinks, rain shower heads. Nicer bathroom than my previous night's airbnb!

Very helpful and friendly staff. We were ushered to our site. Pool is huge for this size campground. Bathrooms were clean, very nicely decorated. They had a sink area outside the bathhouse for tent campers to do dishes! Small camp store. Easy to maneuver dump station. Graveled and Level sites made our set up easy and fast. 1 down is sites are small but you can get awning out and have grass.

The owners/hosts were great! The grounds are the prettiest we’ve seen with all the huge trees. We had an extended stay and our site was awesome! Loved it there!

Wonderful night stay while traveling out west. Attendants were friendly and informative. We were very pleased with the super clean and modern restrooms and showers. Perfect pull through site, made it easy to come and go. Will definitely stop in on future travels.

Staff was terrific very warm and accommodating this is a better KOA than most however we paid for two nights and ended up staying in the city run campsite Mitchell Lake because the campsites at the KOA were too tight and I had neighborsOn top of me

We will stay here again if we find ourselves in the area. Location is just out of town in between fields. Campground store has the basics, some food etc. Staff are friendly and the bathrooms/showers are clean. The sites are close together but we weren’t there except to get in a swim, explore the town a bit (Cabelas and the Corn Palace), and sleep before continuing on to our primary destination.

Rolled in yesterday. Got a large pull thru site. Beautiful campgrounds! Well kept, clean, leaves are changing. Several tornado shelters around camp. Met some other people here pheasant hunting too. Large wind turbine and it never stops! So yes it's always windy here. They even have a Tesla charger for electric vehicles!
