Nice campground just outside of Mitchell. Gravel sites that are level with trees surrounding the area. Satellite coverage might be difficult due to the tress. As with all KOA’s, the sites are fairly close together. This KOA is perfect for an overnight stop.

The campground was a nice quiet relaxing weekend camping trip. We enjoyed the pool and mini golf course with our daughter. The camp ground is nicely mowed and kept up. Very enjoyable!

We stayed overnight and everything was fine, except sites were very close together. We were able to stay hooked up and leveling was easy. Staff was helpful in checking us in. We camped in a 42 foot Fifth Wheel.

Perfect stopping over place on our haul out to the Black Hills. Reservations and check-in were a breeze, even being last-minute. The hosts are incredibly friendly and personable! We were guided to our site, and the campground paths have a perfect 'flow' for easy in and out of sites. It was nice and quiet at night. The bathrooms are very clean and have very unique decor.

Jim & Jerry always take good care of us when we stay! Absolutely love the rain showers in the bathrooms, and they’re always clean! Love staying here, no highway noise!!!

Restroom was very nice and clean the grounds were well taken care of. Easy accessible from main Hwy. Oh and did I did tell you the host aka owners were super. Thanks for making our stay very enjoyable. Debbie F

Mitchel KOA helped us out when we needed to extend our stay to two nights due to tow vehicle problems. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers very private. Also a plus is that almost every site has its own mature shade tree to call its own.

This KOA is about a mile from the freeway so it’s easily accessible but not too noisy. The campsites have trees for shade. There’s also a pool and free mini golf. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were lovely and very clean. Although we only stayed for a day, we had a great time at the campsite.

Sites ok but not all have sewer hookup. Staff is not helpful and very unfriendly, to the point of being confrontational. Not just to me, but also to customer on the phone , overheard when my husband went back to office to ask a question.

You made the internet reservation on line, put in the wrong name, forgot the vkr #, and picked the wrong site, and it some how was my fault?

Rolled in yesterday. Got a large pull thru site. Beautiful campgrounds! Well kept, clean, leaves are changing. Several tornado shelters around camp. Met some other people here pheasant hunting too. Large wind turbine and it never stops! So yes it's always windy here. They even have a Tesla charger for electric vehicles!
